Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of heat collection over a wide temparature range by providing a mirror or selectively permeable membrane on the semicircular surface not facing the cylindrical parabolic reflector side of a vacuum heat-insulating glass tube in which a heat collecting tube is housed.
CONSTITUTION: The incidence of visible rays is completely shielded and the reflectivity of infrared rays is enhanced by forming the mirror 6 by deposition on the inside surface not facing the cylindrical parabilic mirror side of the vacuum heat- insulating glass 2 in the place of selectively permeable membrane, corresponding to the enlarging limit of the thickness of the selectively permeable membrane. Thus, the incident ray from the frontal face of the vacuum heat-insulating glass tube 2 does not become input. The loss of incident ray at this time is very slight, or approx. 2.5% of the whole amount of incident ray provided that the caliber of the cylindrical parabolic reflector 3 for power generation by solar energy is approx. 4m and the diameter of the vacuum heat-insulating glass tube 2 is approx. 10cm.
