Abstract

PURPOSE: To further improve the heat collecting efficiency of the heat collector by a method wherein a thin film of porous silica for preventing reflection is formed over the whole glass surface of a heat insulating means.
CONSTITUTION: Between a transparent window plate 5 and a heat collecting plate 2 is provided a heat insulating member 8 which is parallel with the window plate 5 and composed of a plurality of hollow glass tubes 7 arranged side by side. A thin film 7a of porous silica for preventing reflection is formed on the surfaces of the glass tubes 7. Accordingly, since the heat insulating member 8 prevents radiation of heat to the outside and the thin film 7a of porous silica increases incident rays of sunlight, the heat collecting efficiency of the heat collector is improved.
