Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the heat loss by conduction through the honeycomb structure heat insulator and by convection currents from a heat collecting plate and the like by a structure wherein the end sectional surface of said honeycomb structure heat insulator does not secure only at the side of the heat collecting plate in the structure in which the honeycomb structure heat insulator is arranged between a cover glass plate and the heat collecting plate. CONSTITUTION:The solar heat collector is made up of the cover glass plate 1, the honeycombe structure heat insulator with a number of independent cell spaces 3 and the heat collecting plate 5 with water circulating pipes 5 adhered closely thereto. At this case, while one side of the end sectional surface of the honeycomb structure heat insulator 2 is secured firmly to the cover glass plate 1, the other side 10 of the ends sectional surface of the insulator 2 is placed on the selective absorption film 11 over the surface of the heat collecting plate 4 only by touching with each other. Owing to the structure as described above, the form of the honeycomb structure heat insulator 2 is held by the cover glass plate and the heat loss by conduction through the honeycomb structure heat insulator 2 and as well as by convection currents from the heat collecting plate 4 is reduced at the side of the heat collecting plate 4.
