Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de carbono activado esférico, teniendo una baja susceptibilidad a formar polvo, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de calentar, con agitación continua, una mezcla de una pez, teniendo un punto de reblandecimiento de 50-350ºC, un contenido de carbono de 80-97%, una proporción atómica de hidrógeno carbono de 0,3-2,0 y un contenido de materia insoluble en nitrobenceno inferior a 60%, por lo menos un compuesto aromático, como un disolvente miscible con la pez y 0,1-10% de peso (basado en la cantidad de la pez) de por lo menos un polímero de hidrocarburo de cadena o copolímero teniendo la mitad de cadena de hidrocarburo como su componente principal y licurar por ello homogéneamente dicha mezcla; dispersar dicha mezcla licuada en una solución acuosa contendiendo un agente suspensor y obtener por ello microesferas de la mezcla, como dispersas en la solución; y someter las así obtenidas microesferas a una serie de tratamientos de separación del disolvente, infusibilización, carbonización y activación.
