Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de ácido acrílico o ácido metacrílico mediante oxidación de acroleína o metacroleína respectivamente, con oxígeno molecular, en fase de vapor, a una temperatura de reacción de aproximadamente 200ºC a aproximadamente 500ºC, en presencia de un catalizador de óxido y, opcionalmente, en presencia de vapor de agua, la mejora que comprende utilizar como catalizador, un catalizador descrito por la fórmula XaYbMo12PcAsdOX en la que X es un elemento de las tierras raras o una mezcla de los mismos; Y es por lo menos uno de entre plata, talio, rodio, paladio, rutenio, platino, cadmio, aluminio, oro, cobre metal alcalino-térreo, cloro y NH4; en la que a es de 0,001 a 10; b es de O a 10; a es de 0,001 a 5; d es de 0,001 a 5; x es el número de oxígenos necesario para satisfacer los estados de valencia de los otros elementos presente.
