Abstract
Un sistema que comprende: una primera superficie que comprende: (i) un policarbonato y un primer aditivo, o (ii) un tereftalato de polibutileno y un segundo aditivo; y una segunda superficie que comprende un polioximetileno y un tercer aditivo; donde el primer, segundo y tercer aditivo comprenden cada uno independientemente un aceite de silicona.

Ejemplos
Con el fin de hacer pruebas, la primera y segunda composición de moldeo se pueden moldear para formar discos o placas. En la Tabla 1 se muestran varias cantidades del polímero base y otros ingredientes para preparar las 5 composiciones de moldeo y las muestras moldeadas. Los discos (muestras de prueba), que constan de una muestra de polímero rotatorio inferior y una muestra de polímero fijo superior se montaron en un dispositivo de prueba usado para medir el coeficiente de rozamiento. Las pruebas se llevaron a cabo adaptando el procedimiento descrito en el método de prueba estándar ASTM D-3702 (nuevamente aprobado en 2004) a aquellos usados para evaluar dispositivos médicos, empleando una presión de contacto entre las muestras de prueba de 3 MPa y una velocidad 10 de deslizamiento de 0.02 metros por segundo. Los resultados se muestran en la Tabla 1, la cual muestra también las composiciones químicas del primer componente 102 y el segundo componente 104 y el coeficiente de rozamiento medido para cada par de componentes. En la Tabla 1, las abreviaturas significan lo siguiente: “PC”– policarbonato, “PBT”– tereftalato de polibutileno, “PE”– polietileno, “COE”– coeficiente de rozamiento, “PC-Si”– un copolímero en bloque de policarbonato-siloxano, que se puede adquirir de proveedores comerciales como grado EXL 1112 y
15 “POM” –polioximetileno; la “E” significa Ejemplo y “CE” significa Ejemplo Comparativo.

Una inspección de los datos de la Tabla 1 demuestra que las varias composiciones poliméricas según se muestran se pueden utilizar para producir sistemas de bajo rozamiento que tengan un coeficiente de rozamiento menor o igual 20 a 0.06. Además, el bajo rozamiento se consigue casi instantáneamente con muy poco rodaje de los componentes moldeados.
