Abstract
Un aparato (20) para deshidratar material orgánico, que comprende: (a) una cámara de vacío (34); (b) un conjunto de dos o más generadores de microondas (50); (c) una ventana transparente a las microondas (36) para la transmisión de la radiación de microondas desde los generadores de microondas en la cámara de vacío; (d) una cámara de microondas (52) entre los generadores de microondas y la ventana transparente a las microondas, estando posicionados los dos o más generadores de microondas en el conjunto de forma que una corriente de microondas desde cualquier otro generador se solape en la cámara de microondas con una corriente de microondas de cualquier otro generador del conjunto; y (e) medios para controlar la operación de los generadores de microondas para activar y desactivar repetidamente los generadores de microondas y producir una corriente de microondas confluente y barrer aleatoriamente la corriente de microondas confluente a través de la ventana transparente a las microondas, efectuando cambios aleatorios en la distribución de microondas en la cámara de vacío para producir interferencia entre la corriente de microondas de un generador cualquiera y la corriente de microondas de cualquier otro generador del conjunto.
