Abstract

Dispositivo emisor de luz supercontinua de banda ancha y usos del mismo. El dispositivo comprende: - una fibra óptica no lineal (F); - un sistema de bombeo; - una cavidad y un medio activo, tal como una fibra activa (Fm), ubicado dentro de la cavidad, configurados y dispuestos para que, por un bombeo proporcionado por el sistema de bombeo, el medio activo genere y emita pulsos de luz láser caóticos hacia la fibra óptica no lineal (F) que exciten los efectos no lineales de la misma para la generación y emisión de luz supercontinua en forma de pulsos de luz distribuidos en el tiempo de forma aleatoria. La invención también concierne a múltiples usos del dispositivo propuesto para aplicaciones que requieran de una fuente de luz con un espectro de banda ancha adecuado, bajo coste y gran brillo.
