Abstract
Un método para producir células del epitelio pigmentario de la retina (RPE), comprendiendo el método: a. cultivar células madre pluripotentes hu 5 manas en un medio suplementado con nicotinamida para generar células en diferenciación; y b. cultivar dichas células en diferenciación en un medio que comprende uno o más miembros de la superfamilia del factor de crecimiento transformante β (TGF β) y nicotinamida, produciendo de este modo células RPE.
