Abstract

Microorganismo genéticamente modificado para la bioproducción de 1,3-propanodiol a partir de sacarosa, en el que el microorganismo comprende: - una ruta metabólica de dos etapas para la producción de 1,3-propanodiol, que comprende una primera etapa de descarboxilación de 4-hidroxi-2-cetobutirato con una enzima que tiene una actividad de 2-cetoácido descarboxilasa codificada por un gen endógeno, cuya expresión está potenciada o por un gen heterólogo, y una segunda etapa de reducción del 3-hidroxipropionaldehído obtenido con una enzima que tiene actividad de hidroxi aldehído reductasa, y - unos genes funcionales que codifican un sistema de utilización de sacarosa PTS y/o un sistema de utilización de sacarosa no PTS, que permiten al microorganismo utilizar sacarosa como la única fuente de carbono.
