Abstract

En el presente documento, se describen composiciones y métodos para producir derivados de ácido graso mediante el uso de microorganismos recombinantes.Reivindicación 1: Un microorganismo manipulado por técnicas de ingeniería, para producir un derivado de ácido graso, donde dicho microorganismo comprende, secuencias de polinucleótidos que codifican lo siguiente: (a) un polipéptido biosintético de aldehído graso y (b) un polipéptido biosintético de alcohol graso, en el cual la expresión de dichos polipéptidos se modifica respecto del correspondiente polipéptido natural, y dicho microorganismo produce una mayor concentración del derivado de ácido graso respecto de un microorganismo natural.
