Abstract

Procedimiento de tratamiento metalúrgico en cuchara de un acero que debe colarse en continuo, según el que a un baño de acero fundido de ultra bajo o de bajo carbono, calmado (o durante el calmado) con aluminio para alcanzar un contenido dado de oxígeno, se añade calcio para formar inclusiones de desoxidación con punto de fusión inferior a la temperatura de colada del acero en lingotera, caracterizado porque en la cadena de tratamiento que va de la cuchara a la lingotera de colada, se mantiene el baño metálico con un contenido de magnesio disuelto comprendido entre un valor mínimo de 2 ppm aproximadamente y un valor máximo de 10 ppm.
