Abstract

Procedimiento para la fabricación de L-carnitina a partir de crotonobetaína. Consiste en la obtención de una manera económicamente ventajosa, de L-carnitina a partir de crotonobetaína, sales de crotonobetaína o derivados a través de células inmovilizadas de Escherichia coli 044 K74 en un reactor de reciclado de células que funciona de forma continua. Las células en crecimiento o en reposo de E. coli son retenidas en un reactor de reciclado de células que funciona de forma continua, por medio de membranas de micro o ultrafiltración, que están dispuestas como módulo de membrana plana o de fibras huecas. La L-carnitina tiene numerosas aplicaciones clínicas, entre las que destacan la profilaxis y tratamiento de las enfermedades cardíacas.
