LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCESO PARA LA PREPARACION DEL ANTIBIOTICO DE VANCOMICINA DE UNA MANERA MICROBIOLOGICA MEDIANTE FERMENTACION AEROBICA, UTILIZANDO UNA CEPA QUE PERTENECE A LAS ESPECIES DE MICROPOLIESPORA EN UN MEDIO DE CULTIVO QUE CONTIENE FUENTES DE CARBONO Y DE NITROGENO ASIMILABLES ASI COMO SALES MINERALES. SEGUN LA INVENCION, SE UTILIZAN COMO MICROORGANISMOS LOS MUTANTES NCAIM 001092 Y NCAIM 001093 DE AMINOGLICOSIDA RESISTENTE DE LA CEPA QUE PERTENECE A LAS ESPECIES MICROPOLIESPORA ORIENTALIS.
