UN METODO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE DIOXIDO DE TITANIO PIGMENTARIO EN PARTICULAS COMRENDE HACER REACCIONAR, EN SOLUCION, UN TETRAHALURO DE TITANIO PRECURSOR CON ACIDO SULFURICO PARA PRODUCIR UN PRODUCTO DE SULFATO DE TITANILO INTERMEDIO. DESPUES DE LA CRISTALIZACION Y RECUPERACION DE ESTE PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO DE LA SOLUCION, EL PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO CRISTALIZADO SE VUELVE A DISOLVER EN UN MEDIO DISOLVENTE ACUOSO Y SE HIDROLIZA A TEMPERATURAS ELEVADAS, PARA PROPORCIONAR UN PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO DE DIOXIDO DE TITANIO AMORFO EN PARTICULAS. DESPUES DE LA SEPARACION DEL MEDIO DISOLVENTE ACUOSO, ESTE PRODUCTO INTERMEDIO SE SOMETE ENTONCES A CALCINACION A TEMPERATURAS ELEVADAS, PARA PRODUCIR EL PRODUCTO FINAL DESEADO DE DIOXIDO DE TITANIO EN PARTICULAS.
