Definitions
- the invention relates to a pallet cover, a method for producing the pallet cover and a use of the pallet cover.
- transport packaging which is intended for multiple use.
- a reusable pallet strap is described, for example, in the publication DE 10 2022 103 834 B3. This is particularly suitable for enclosing palletized goods in a form-fitting manner.
- the transport packaging described in the aforementioned publication is characterized by easy handling and a quick packaging process.
- shrink films or pallet covers have been used to date. Shrink films are adapted to the external shape of a palletized item by applying thermal energy. Multiple use is not intended, as shrink films are usually only suitable as transport packaging for this one external shape of the palletized item due to the individual shrinking process.
- pallet covers have been used for this purpose. These usually have a cuboid-shaped casing that is open on one side.
- the dimensions of known pallet covers are based on the standard dimensions of a pallet. For example, the dimensions according to the EN 13698-1 standard, which concerns the so-called "Euro pallets".
- the pallet covers mentioned are also intended for single use. Therefore, only a small selection of selectable pallet cover heights is available. This means that the height of a pallet cover has to be individually adjusted to the height of the palletized goods. This is usually done by time-consumingly cutting off an excess section of the pallet cover.
- the known pallet covers are intended to form-fit cuboid-shaped palletized goods. If the palletized goods deviate from such a cuboid shape, for example due to an incompletely filled stacking level, it is no longer possible to secure the palletized goods in a form-fit manner. This creates the risk that palletized goods are not sufficiently protected against slipping or tipping and thus against damage.
- the object of the invention is to provide an improved pallet hood.
- the invention is based on the object of specifying a use of the pallet hood.
- the pallet hood according to the invention is designed to envelop a palletized product. Furthermore, the pallet hood according to the invention has a shaping aid. By means of this shaping aid, a section of the pallet hood can be shaped in the direction of an interior of the pallet hood.
- the shaping aid enables the pallet hood to be easily adapted to the external shape of an arrangement of the palletized goods.
- the pallet hood can be adapted to this external shape by folding, rolling or tucking. Any protrusions of the pallet hood that hinder a work process can be easily moved in the direction of the The pallet cover can therefore be handled comfortably.
- the same pallet cover can be used several times to cover palletized goods arranged in different ways.
- said section of the pallet hood can be reversibly shaped in the direction of the interior of the pallet hood by means of the shaping aid.
- the pallet hood can be used multiple times and adapted to different external shapes of palletized goods.
- the pallet cover is made of a textile material. This makes it possible to provide a lightweight pallet cover. This also enables compact storage of the pallet cover.
- a further advantageous embodiment provides that at least two of the shaping aids are provided.
- the at least two shaping aids are preferably arranged on opposite sides of the pallet hood. Adaptability of the pallet hood to an external shape of the palletized goods can be simplified in this way.
- a lateral section of the pallet hood can be formed in the direction of the interior of the pallet hood by means of the forming aid.
- the previously difficult adjustment of a pallet hood to a height of the palletized goods can be made easier in this way. For example, measuring and cutting the pallet hood for the purpose of adjusting it to a height of the palletized goods can be dispensed with.
- folding, rolling or wrapping the Pallet hood can be used to facilitate height adjustment.
- the molding aid has a recess in the pallet hood.
- a preferred direction can be specified in a simple manner, in which the section of the pallet hood can be guided towards an interior space.
- the molding aid can thus be implemented solely by shaping the pallet hood. Adding additional parts is not necessary.
- the recess can be designed as a starting point for the purpose of molding further sections of the pallet hood during an adjustment process. In this way, a molded area can initially be kept small without preventing the molding of further sections of the pallet hood.
- the shaping aid is formed by connecting two sections of the pallet hood.
- the two sections mentioned can be connected in a form-fitting, material-fitting and/or force-fitting manner.
- the two sections mentioned can be connected to one another by means of a reclosable quick-release fastener or by gluing or welding.
- the shaping aid is preferably formed by sewing the two sections mentioned together. This makes it possible to provide a dimensionally stable shaping aid. Furthermore, this makes it possible to form the shaping aid in one piece with the pallet hood.
- the shaping aid is preferably formed by connecting two sections of a one-piece pallet hood. Furthermore, it is preferred that the shaping aid is formed by connecting two sections of a pallet hood that is open on one side.
- the two sections mentioned are connected to one another in such a way that they form a triangular section of the pallet hood.
- the dimensional stability of the forming aid can be further improved.
- a reliable starting point can be created with the aid of which the section of the pallet hood can be formed in the direction of the interior of the pallet hood.
- the triangular section is arranged in an interior space of the pallet cover. This makes it easy to protect the triangular section from external influences. For example, the triangular section can be protected in this way from damage during a transport process or when the pallet cover is thrown over the palletized goods.
- the triangular section is placed against an inner side of the pallet hood and fixed in this position.
- the inner side of the pallet hood is to be understood as that side of the pallet hood which, in a state intended for use, faces the palletized goods.
- the pallet hood is placed over the palletized goods in a manner intended for the purpose of enveloping the palletized goods, without being molded onto them.
- the triangular section is laid flat on the inside of the pallet hood.
- the triangular section can be laid flat on the inside of the pallet hood. This can prevent snagging as a result of a collision with the palletized goods. This can make it easier to align a pallet hood placed over the palletized goods. In addition, this can reliably prevent the attached triangular section from tearing off.
- At least one part of the triangular section is placed on the inside of the pallet hood and fixed in this position in such a way that a lateral section of the pallet hood is formed in the direction of the interior of the pallet hood by means of the triangular section.
- the molding aid can be implemented with little effort.
- no additional parts are required for the purpose of forming the molding aid.
- a preferred direction for the purpose of molding the lateral section of the pallet hood can be specified.
- the two mentioned sections of the pallet hood are connected to one another along a connecting line, the extension of which in a circumferential direction of the pallet hood is shorter than a length of a lateral extension of a pallet on which the palletized goods are based.
- the said extension of the connecting line is preferably less than 50% of the length of a lateral extension of the pallet on which the palletized goods are based. In a In a particularly preferred embodiment, the said extension of the connecting line is less than 25% of the said length of the lateral extension of the pallet.
- the said connecting line is shorter than a width of the pallet on which the palletized goods are based.
- the width of the pallet is to be understood as a lateral extension along one of the two short sides of a rectangular receiving surface of the pallet.
- the pallet hood can be adapted in a cost-effective manner to a shape of an arrangement of palletized goods in which a receiving surface of the pallet is only partially used.
- this allows a simple molding to various external shapes of an arrangement of palletized goods which deviate from a cuboid shape.
- a further advantageous embodiment provides that the connecting line, in the state intended for use, is arranged essentially parallel to a side edge of a pallet on which the palletized goods are based. This makes it possible to create a simple orientation for the purpose of aligning the pallet hood. Furthermore, an adjustment process of the pallet hood to an external shape of an arrangement of palletized goods can be made easier.
- a holding device is provided by means of which the pallet hood can be fixed in a state in which it is molded onto a palletized item. The molded state can be easily maintained by means of the holding device. A change in the molded state due to further work steps can thus be avoided.
- the holding device can be used to prevent the pallet hood from slipping down.
- excess parts of the pallet hood can be arranged compactly by means of the holding device without these parts having to be cut off.
- the holding device has at least one reclosable quick-release fastener.
- the reclosable quick-release fastener enables the holding device to be operated quickly. In addition, this allows a quick and cost-effective connection of different sections of a pallet hood adapted to the external geometry of an arrangement of palletized goods. Furthermore, a weight-saving holding device is provided.
- the reclosable quick fastener is a Velcro fastener.
- This Velcro fastener is particularly preferably designed to be double-acting.
- a double-acting Velcro fastener combines, for example, a fleece and a hook side in one plane. In this way, a double-acting Velcro fastener can form a reclosable quick fastener with itself.
- mushroom heads or a combination of mushroom heads and velour or mushroom heads and fleece are provided.
- the reclosable quick-release fastener is designed in the shape of a band. This allows the holding device to be arranged compactly. Furthermore, handling can be further improved in this way.
- the holding device extends over an upper edge of the pallet hood. This makes it possible to fix the pallet hood in an adjusted state quickly and easily if necessary. Furthermore, a large number of different adjustment options for the pallet hood can be implemented in this way.
- the holding device in an advantageous embodiment has several quick-release fasteners which are arranged essentially parallel to one another and spaced apart.
- a pallet hood which is flexibly adapted to different shapes of the top of an arrangement of palletized goods can be fixed easily and reliably.
- the quick-release fasteners are arranged transversely to the upper edge of the pallet hood. This enables the quick-release fasteners to overlap the upper edge.
- the pallet hood can be molded to the palletized goods and fixed in this state in just a few steps.
- the quick-release fasteners are arranged essentially perpendicular to the upper edge. Particularly preferably, these quick-release fasteners overlap the upper edge. edge. With such an arrangement of the quick-release fasteners, the height of the pallet hood can be easily adjusted to the height of the palletized goods by folding over a part of the pallet hood and fixed in this molded state.

It is conceivable that the pallet hood can be adapted to an external geometry of an arrangement of the palletized goods by means of the clamping device. For example, the pallet hood can be gathered using the clamping device. The palletized goods can thus be wrapped in a compact and space-saving manner using the pallet hood. Furthermore, air resistance of palletized goods in a wrapped state during open transport can be reduced in this way. In particular This can prevent parts of the pallet hood from fluttering due to the wind. It can also counteract the formation of disturbing noises.
- the tunnel arrangement has at least one tunnel which is arranged along a circumferential direction of the pallet hood.
- the tunnel arrangement is preferably arranged along at least 50% of a length of a circumference of the pallet hood.
- the tunnel arrangement is particularly preferably arranged along at least 70% of the length of the circumference of the pallet hood.
- Palletized goods can be secured by means of a clamping device accommodated in the at least one tunnel of the tunnel arrangement. This makes it possible to increase the stability of the arrangement of the palletized goods.
- the tunnel arrangement has at least one further tunnel which is arranged transversely to the said circumferential direction of the pallet hood.
- this at least one further tunnel is arranged essentially perpendicular to the said circumferential direction. This makes it possible to further reduce the risk of the palletized goods tipping over.

- this gripping device is arranged on one side of the pallet hood, which is intended for the purpose of enveloping the upper side of the palletized goods. In this way, the height of the pallet hood can be quickly adjusted with just a few steps and simple gripping operations.
- the handle device is formed by a seam allowance.
- the seam allowance is easy to produce and can be provided without additional work.
- the seam allowance is arranged on an outer side along an upper edge of the pallet hood. In addition, no additional parts are required in this way. This makes it possible to provide a light and flexible pallet hood.
- the pallet cover according to the invention can be produced by means of the method according to the invention.
- the method according to the invention provides that a flat web is folded together to form two essentially congruent layers.
- the said web can be made, for example, from a textile material or a plastic material.
- the web is preferably designed as a fabric web. This enables an efficient manufacturing process.
- a flat, one-piece web is preferred, which is folded together to form the two essentially congruent layers.
- the method according to the invention provides that the two layers are connected to one another to form a pallet hood that is open on one side.
- the pallet hood that is open on one side can be produced by simply connecting the two said layers along two side edges.
- sections of two side edges that meet in a corner are brought together before they meet.
- the said sections of two side edges are brought together within a space formed by the two layers.

In this way, a stable forming aid can be created. Furthermore, an easy-to-handle pallet hood can be provided in which the forming aid is integrated.
- An advantageous design variant provides that the triangular section is arranged in an interior space of the pallet cover. This prevents the triangular section from protruding outwards. This makes handling the pallet cover easier. Furthermore, it can prevent damage to or contamination of the triangular section during transport or storage.
- a further advantageous embodiment provides that at least part of the triangular section is placed on an inner side of the pallet hood and fixed in this position.
- the said inner side is to be understood as the inside of the pallet hood already mentioned previously in connection with the pallet hood.
- the triangular section can be arranged compactly. This can prevent a collision of the triangular section with the palletized goods.
- a tip of the triangular section is placed on the inside of the pallet hood, which is attached to the inside of the pallet hood by means of a seam connection. It is also conceivable that the triangular section is placed flat on the inside of the pallet hood and fixed in this position. This can prevent the triangular section from becoming an obstacle when changing a Arrangement of the pallet hood above the palletized goods.
- a lateral section of the pallet hood is formed in the direction of the interior of the pallet hood.

- a seam allowance is arranged along a side edge on an outside of the pallet hood.
- This side edge should extend essentially parallel to an open side edge of the pallet hood.
- the open side edge is to be understood as the side edge of the pallet hood that is open on one side, along which the two layers are not connected to one another.
- the said outside of the pallet hood is to be understood as the side of the pallet hood that faces away from the inside of the pallet hood. The outside is therefore in the In the state intended for use, the pallet is arranged facing away from the palletized goods.
- the pallet hood can be easily gripped for the purpose of adapting it to the external shape of a palletized item. This improves handling in a simple way. This means that a gripping device can be created using the seam allowance without the need to add additional parts. Furthermore, the number of work steps required to produce the pallet hood can be kept to a minimum.
- an inventive use of the inventive pallet hood for the purpose of adapting a height of the pallet hood to a height of a palletized item is provided.
- the height of the pallet hood is reduced. At least one section of the pallet hood is guided to an interior of the pallet hood by means of the shaping aid. In this way, laborious adjustment of the height of the pallet hood to the height of the palletized goods can be avoided. The previously laborious folding, rolling or wrapping of the pallet hood for this purpose can be avoided. In addition, this avoids having to adjust the height of the pallet hood to the height of the palletized goods by cutting it off.

- Figures 2 and 3 illustrate a use of the embodiment of the pallet hood 10.
- a height 56 of the pallet hood 10 is adapted 120 to a height 58 of the palletized goods 12 by using the two aforementioned shaping aids 14 to guide a lateral section 20 of the pallet hood 10 towards the interior 16 122.
- the palletized goods 12 shown in Figures 2 and 3 are arranged on the pallet 32 in such a way that initially a receiving surface of the pallet 32 is not fully utilized.
- less goods 12 are arranged in a third stacking level than in the two stacking levels below. Such an arrangement is often encountered in the case of so-called partial pallets, from which part of the palletized goods 12 has already been removed.
- Figures 2 and 3 illustrate that the height 56 of the pallet hood 10 is adjusted 120 to the height 58 of the palletized goods 12.
- the pallet hood 10 is gripped at the seam allowance 48.
- the pallet hood 10 can be rolled, folded or tucked along the upper edge 38 in just a few steps until the height 56 of the pallet hood 10 is reduced 120 to such an extent that the open side edge 52 of the pallet hood 10 is approximately flush with a receiving plane of the pallet 32.
- a lateral section 20 of the pallet hood 10 is guided 122 towards the interior 16 of the pallet hood 10 by means of the two previously described shaping aids 14.
- each shaping aid 14 has a recess 18 for the purpose of guiding 122 a lateral section 20 of the pallet hood 10 in the direction of the interior 16.
- This recess 18 is formed in the manner already described in connection with Figure 1, in that the associated lateral section 20 is formed by means of the triangular section 22 which is placed 112 against the inner side 24 of the pallet hood 10 and fixed 114 in this position.
- the pallet hood 10 is formed 116 towards the said interior space 16.
- further parts of the lateral section 20 are guided 122 into the interior space 16 of the pallet hood 10 as a result of rolling, wrapping or folding the pallet hood 10 in the manner described above. This facilitates an adjustment 120 of the height 56 of the pallet hood 10 to the height 58 of the palletized goods 12 to be wrapped.
- the laborious cutting off of a pallet hood using cutting tools or shrink films intended for single use can therefore be dispensed with.
- the pallet hood 10 is fixed in the adjusted 120 state by means of the holding device 34.
- the Velcro strips 36 already described in connection with Figure 1 are brought together with themselves.
- They are designed to be double-acting in this case.
- the Velcro strips 36 can thus be reliably connected to themselves. This makes it possible to reliably hold the pallet hood 10 in the adjusted state 120. Slipping of the pallet hood 10 can thus be easily prevented. Furthermore, this makes it possible to provide a form-fitting load securing device. For example, slipping of goods in an incompletely filled stack level can be prevented in this way.
- FIG. 3 shows that, for this purpose, in addition to the clamping devices 42 already described in connection with Figure 2, two further clamping devices 42 are provided by way of example. These are intended to grip over the pallet hood 10 in a direction essentially perpendicular to the circumferential direction 28.
- sections of the two further clamping devices 42 are accommodated in the further tunnels 46 of the tunnel arrangement 40, which extend essentially perpendicular to the circumferential direction 28.
- one of the two further clamping devices 42 is accommodated in two of the four further tunnels 46. These two said tunnels 46 are arranged on different sides of the pallet hood 10. The upper edge 38 of the pallet hood 10 can thus be gripped over by means of the two further clamping devices 42. In this way, a function of the holding device 34 can be supported. Furthermore, the wrapped palletized goods 12 can be secured against tipping or slipping.
- Figure 4 illustrates the method 100 for producing the pallet hood 10, already described in connection with Figure 1, in an alternative manner in a schematic flow diagram.
