Definitions
- the invention relates to an engine with a cylinder crankcase and an oil return collecting channel and oil drains.
- the DE 100 26 113 B4 shows an internal combustion engine with an oil pan upper part arranged between a crank chamber and an oil pan, which is held between a cylinder crankcase and an adjoining part of an oil pan.
- An oil channel runs in such a way that the oil returned from the cylinder head is directed into the oil pan below the oil level.
- crankcase that accommodates a crankshaft
- the cylinder head and the crankcase consisting of an upper crankcase part and a lower crankcase part are continuously braced against each other via tie rods, which are anchored in the lower area of the cylinder head facing the crankcase and in the area of the lower crankcase part, bearing chairs forming bearings of the crankshaft are clamped, the lower crankcase part being double-walled and the bearing chairs to limit the crankcase has an enclosing crankcase base, to which an outer crankcase base is arranged at a distance and that the crankcase base is drawn in against the crankcase base in the area of the bores for the tie rods passing through the bearing chairs, in such a way that the screw elements associated with the tie rods lie in pocket-shaped receptacles which pass through the bearing chairs are limited, known.
- An oil gallery is arranged in the area of the cylinder head of the head-block unit, from which a supply hole leads to a lubricant supply channel to the bearing bush of the shaft of the exhaust gas turbocharger.
- a transfer opening for the oil return and the sealing air discharge which opens into the lubricant return channel.
- the lubricant return channel which can optionally be drilled and closed by a screw plug or a core hole closure, leads back into the oil pan via the vertical part of the return line.
- EP0928891 A2 discloses another internal combustion engine from the prior art.
- This variant has the disadvantage that the structure of the cylinder head is weakened in the area where the oil from two or more cylinders comes together.
- the object of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages mentioned above and to create a compact and stable motor.
- the present design offers many functions in a small space, which at the same time does not weaken the structure of the cylinder head.
- the unpressurized oil (4) is transferred from the cylinder head of each cylinder (5) to the cylinder crankcase (1) in such a way that it is transferred to an oil return collecting channel (2) arranged horizontally in the area of the parting plane between the head and the block. This means that a clean structure in the cylinder head can be constructed without any restrictions.
- An oil return collecting channel (2) is cast or machined into the cylinder crankcase (1).
- the oil return collecting channel (2) brings together the unpressurized oil from the individual cylinder areas of the cylinder head, collects it and passes it on to cast or mechanically processed oil drains (3), which are arranged vertically in the area of the first and last cylinder, in the direction of the oil pan. This creates space below the oil return collecting channel (2) for water channels and further modules to be arranged, such as cooling cassettes or the like.

- Fig. 1
