Method according to claim 9, wherein prior to drawing out the lower slide plate (15), the upper bearing bar (12) is coupled to the lower bearing bar (13) in order to guarantee that the upper bearing bar (12) having the upper straightening rolls (5) is drawn out of the working area (4) of the straightening machine together with the lower bearing bar (13), the lower straightening rolls (6) and the lower side plate (15).
