Definitions
- the invention relates to furniture according to claims 1 and 4.
- Adjustable shelves or shelving walls are well known in the furniture sector. They are sometimes also used as room dividers.
- a piece of furniture is, for example, from the U.S. 4,696,522 A known. Shown is a movable standing furniture for microcomputer components and in particular PCs, in which, for example, a PC with a screen can be accommodated on the upper cover plate and papers and a keyboard or other control unit can be accommodated on different levels inside the furniture body.
- the lockable front of this piece of furniture is designed like a roller shutter cabinet, which can be moved from its lowered closed position to a raised position that is freely accessible from the front can, and is slidable on the underside of the cover plate and in front of the rear wall in a receiving space located here.
- a blind door can also be seen as known, which has a plurality of web elements connected to one another on its side parts. These web elements are double-walled and have longitudinal slits on the front side, as a result of which this blind door can be moved on curved tracks with the front slits widening.
- a shelf back wall can be seen as known, which is formed from a flexible material.
- the thickness of the individual components of the flexible web of material is such that it can be compressed under its own weight into any convex or concave curve or S-shape without great effort and any tension forces in the vertical direction remain relatively low.
- a panelboard which has longitudinal slots on its opposite sides which run parallel to one another and are only introduced to a partial depth in the material of the panelboard.
- These longitudinal slits are designed in such a way that they are groove-shaped, as a result of which such a panel board can be deformed in an arc or S-shape, with the slits being widened on the convex side and reduced in their transverse extent on the concave side.
- the object of the present invention is to create a piece of furniture that is improved and further developed in comparison.
- the piece of furniture according to the invention is characterized by a cabinet-like structure with at least two side walls and usually a rear wall, with the piece of furniture being placed on a standing surface, usually on a floor, specifically free-standing or in front of a wall.
- the piece of furniture has, in addition to a cover plate as a shelf ceiling, a floor and/or at least one intermediate floor provided above the standing surface.
- the rear wall, the base plate and/or the at least one intermediate base are usually arranged between two side panels that are offset in the longitudinal direction of the piece of furniture, so that a box-like or cupboard-like structure is generally preferably obtained.
- the arrangement below the intermediate floor can be open or closed with doors or drawers, etc., a space open to the front between the at least two side walls, the floor or intermediate floor and preferably the shelf at the top final cover board created.
- a cladding element is inserted into this free space, which is plate-shaped and/or preferably mat-shaped, ie has a certain flexibility and/or elasticity, but at least a certain deformability.
- This covering element runs in large areas of the vertical rear wall, directly or indirectly in contact with the front side of the vertical rear wall or at least over large areas of the vertical rear wall.
- this cladding element runs out horizontally in the lower area towards the front over an arc-shaped section and is supported and held there. This is preferably done only via a stop or a stop edge, preferably via a mat-like element fastened to the intermediate floor, preferably without a height offset. Therefore, no further fastening measures have to be taken for the paneling element used. Above all, it can be inserted without tools.
- the cladding element preferably runs more or less horizontally or slightly uphill over a curved section below the upper cover board of the piece of furniture and is held there by an end strip, which preferably has a lower support leg or at least sectionally provided support legs.
- This support leg can also be designed with a U-shaped cross section, that is to say in the form of a groove, so that here the end face edge of the cladding element comes to rest and is held above it.
- this end strip can be part of a lighting device that can be attached to the underside of the upper cover board of the piece of furniture and is preferably aligned with a component on the front side of the cladding element that is exposed to the front.
- the cladding element itself is provided in the curved areas with a multiplicity of parallel slits formed on the rear side of the cladding element, which, however, are only introduced at a partial depth into the material of the cladding element.
- it can be easily converted into a curved section despite a predetermined certain rigidity in this area.
- This can preferably be achieved in the case of an at least two-layer panel and/or mat structure which has a continuous layer at the front, with the horizontal slots mentioned only being formed in the underlying layer at a partial depth of the cladding element or cladding mat.
- support elements provided with a concave recess can be fastened to the front, which support the arched section of the cladding element towards the rear wall and prevent the cladding mat from buckling.
- Such a piece of furniture also serves excellently as an acoustic partition wall, above all through the use of the paneling element mentioned, which can have a highly noise-absorbing structure or a noise-absorbing wall of material.
- the lower area below the intermediate floor can be used as storage space.
- the closing element on the top of the intermediate floor which also serves as a stop element for the rear paneling element, preferably with more or less the same structure and material composition as the rear paneling wall, can also serve as a seat pad, which is extremely comfortable due to a certain elasticity and softness.
- bags can also be placed on the intermediate floor.
- the lighting device preferably attached to the underside of the upper cover board, in particular in the form of an LED bar, can also throw light into a bag that is open at the top, so that the contents of the bag are easily visible at all times.
- a table or a work table can then also be placed in the front of such a piece of furniture, which has proven to be particularly advantageous.
- Panel-shaped structures in particular based on wooden panels, which are provided on one side with a large number of slits arranged next to one another, in order to be able to deform the panels in an arc-shaped or arc-like manner, are known in principle.
- the DE 10 2008 031 898 B4 a panel-shaped structural element with a rigid cover layer, which forms the visible side of the component, and with a carrier layer that is slotted at least in some areas, and which forms the inside of the component.
- the recesses are not slit-like, but groove-like, to form a sufficiently large space for the remaining plate-shaped ribs, which then abut when the component is oriented in an arc to create a 90° angle.
- a comparable structure is also from the DE 20 2008 004 011 U1 as known, which describes a multi-layer flexible material panel, in particular for use in furniture, which consists of several layers of material. In the area of the bend, several U-shaped grooves running parallel to one another and laterally offset from one another are also provided in the material.
- figure 1 shows a variant of the furniture according to the invention, which is designed in the manner of an open cupboard or shelf wall.
- the piece of furniture or a piece of furniture comprises two side walls 1 which are arranged at a lateral distance from one another and which are in one piece, but also in multiple pieces can be trained.
- each side wall 1 is formed in two parts, for example, and comprises an upper side wall 1a and a lower side wall 1b, with the upper side wall 1a adjoining the upper edge of the lower side wall 1b.
- the upper side wall 1a has a smaller depth because the upper structure of the furniture has a smaller depth T1 overall.
- the piece of furniture has a greater depth T2 in the lower floor section, so that the piece of furniture protrudes further forward with its lower section.
- the side panel 1 with the two sections 1a and 1b shown can nevertheless be designed in one piece, or the upper panel section 1a runs continuously from the top to the floor, i.e. up to the standing surface 13 or the base plate 9, so that, in contrast, in the lower Furniture area of the vertically continuous side wall 1a, a front and lower underlying side wall section 1b connects.
- the division between the two side wall sections 1a and 1b would run along the dashed line 18, as shown in FIG figure 2 is drawn.
- the overall structure is preferably modular. That is to say, the piece of furniture comprises a base M1 with a base or a base plate 9 (this entire base M1 being able to be built on a furniture base 20).
- This substructure M1 further comprises a rear wall section 5, ie 5.2, and a cover plate 11b.
- a central structure M2 Placed on this substructure M1 is a central structure M2, which in turn also includes a floor panel, namely what is known as the intermediate floor 15a with a rear wall 5 and the actual furniture top panel 11.
- the central structure M2 in the exemplary embodiment shown is designed with a smaller depth T1 than the substructure (whose depth is T2), another intermediate floor panel 15b is placed on the actual top cover plate 11b in front of the intermediate floor 15a of the central structure M2 in order to achieve the same level form, on which the mat sections explained below come to rest.
- the depth T2 of the substructure can, for example, also correspond to the depth T1 of the central structure or superstructure M2.
- an attachment M3 can be added to the central structure M2, which is also box-shaped with its own storage space and preferably its own base plate and its own cover plate and associated side wall sections.
- the rear wall 5 has a front or front side 5a and a back side 5b.
- the piece of furniture usually includes a furniture base 9 (which is sometimes also referred to below as a shelf 9 is) and a furniture cover panel 11 (which is sometimes also referred to below as a shelf cover panel or shelf cover 11), via which the two side walls 1 are connected to one another in the region of their upper sides.
- a furniture base 9 which is sometimes also referred to below as a shelf 9 is
- a furniture cover panel 11 which is sometimes also referred to below as a shelf cover panel or shelf cover 11
- an intermediate base or intermediate compartment base 15 can be provided above the actual standing surface 13 of the furniture, as shown in the illustration figure 1 ff.
- An open storage space is formed below the intermediate floor 15, which can also be divided by further shelves.
- the storage space 17 can also be closed by doors.
- Drawers can also be used there, for example. There are no restrictions in this respect.
- top side of the furniture formed in this way there can also be a structure with side walls, base and top board and a rear side with or without compartments.
- several pieces of furniture designed in the same width or height or in different widths or heights can be placed side by side in a row.
- corresponding furniture it is just as possible for corresponding furniture to be set up with the same width and height at the back with their rear walls pointing to one another, so that a corresponding piece of furniture is accessible to the outside from both opposite sides.
- FIG 2 two pieces of furniture according to the invention are shown, for example, which have the same height and basically the same structure, but are of different widths. Both pieces of furniture are set up side by side in a lateral extension, so that the left side panel of one piece of furniture comes to rest parallel and preferably touching the right side panel of the next piece of furniture located next to it.
- figure 3 Based on figure 3 is a comparable representation of the lower part of the basis of figures 1 and 2 shown furniture shown, where in figure 4 the right side wall 1 has been omitted in order to make the further structure easier to understand.
- FIG figure 5 an enlarged view according to FIG figure 6 Referenced where in figure 6 opposite a side view rotated by 180° figure 5 is shown.
- a cladding element 27 is inserted, which is designed in the form of a plate and/or mat.
- It also consists of an elastic, but at least flexible and preferably resiliently flexible single-layer and preferably multi-layer, but at least two-layer structure.
- the panel-shaped and/or mat-shaped cladding element 27 is inserted in front of the front side 5a of the rear wall 5, ie here the rear wall 5.1 of the central structure M2.
- the cladding element 27 runs directly in the vertical direction over the major part of its vertical length and preferably rests with its rear side 27a directly or indirectly on the front or front side 5a of the rear wall 5 .
- the trim element 27 can be installed in such a way that it has an upper arcuate section 30a, over which the trim element 27 ends in a forwardly directed, slightly rising orientation in an upper outlet end 28a and that it also has an underlying, preferably has a 90° arc section 30b, in which the cladding element 27 then terminates in a horizontally running outlet end 28b.
- a plurality of slots or cuts 31 running transversely to its longitudinal extent are made in the rear side 27b of the cladding element 27, namely from the rear side 27b in a partial depth of the cladding element 27.
- the paneling element 27 is constructed in two layers, so that the slots or cuts 31 mentioned are only introduced in the rear layer 28b.
- These slits or cuts 31 run in the transverse direction of the covering element 27, ie in the horizontal direction when it is installed in the piece of furniture.
- the Slots are introduced laterally offset from one another, preferably uniformly laterally offset from one another, in a direction parallel to its upper and lower end faces 33a and 33b.
- the generally thinner layer 28a of the preferably mat-shaped cladding element 27 that is visible from the front is unslit and in particular has an unslit surface 27a that is visible from the front or front side.
- the cladding element 27 can form an upper arcuate section 25a and a lower arcuate section 25b in this mentioned area when it is inserted into the interior space 25 of the piece of furniture 1, which is open towards the front, whereby during the arcuate alignment of the cladding element 27 the rear Slits or cuts 31 are spread slightly according to the course of the arc, so the cuts run slightly fan-shaped towards the rear side in the opening direction.
- the cladding element can be bent comparatively easily through these mentioned slits or cuts 31 .
- the front layer 28a Since the front layer 28a remains free of cuts, at least on the front side 27a, a closed front or front side results on the cladding element 27 when viewed from the front.
- the cladding element 27 mentioned consists preferably of a plastic mat or, for example, of foam or foam-like material. It can have a cellular or porous structure. Preferred the cladding element 27 is made of PET material. Both layers 28a and 28b can consist or be made of different materials or consist of the same material, which, however, can differ in terms of its elasticity, load-bearing capacity, rigidity or other physical properties such as pore size, etc. There are no restrictions in this respect.
- slits or cuts are preferably made perpendicular to the plane of the trim element 27 when it is spread out in a straight line. Slots could also be slightly groove-shaped. They are preferably closely spaced from one another, for example less than 2 cm, in particular less than 1.6 cm, 1.2 cm, 0.8 cm or 0.6 cm.
- the cutting depth S on the back of the cladding element 27 can preferably be between 10% and 95% of the material thickness 23 of the cladding element 27, for example. These areas preferably range between an order of magnitude in which the slot depth is at least greater than 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70% or even 80% of the material thickness of the cladding element 27 . However, the cutting depth is preferably less than 95% of the material thickness of the cladding element 27, in particular less than 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30% or at least 20%.
- the depth of cut S shown there for the slots 31 corresponds to the material thickness of the rear layer 28b
- the depth of cut can be introduced from the rear 27b into this cladding element 27 at a depth be less or, in case of doubt, even greater than the thickness of the rear material layer 28b. Only a sufficient layer thickness on the front side has to remain, which makes the entire mat easy to handle and also ensures that the mat does not disintegrate into individual parts in the area of the cuts.
- an additional support 19 is provided on the intermediate floor 15, ie in the exemplary embodiment shown on the front intermediate floor section 15b.
- This support 19 is preferably a mat-shaped element 19' which corresponds to the structure and/or the layer thickness of the cladding element 27 in terms of structure and/or layer thickness.
- This support 19 is preferably glued on its rear side to the upper side of the intermediate floor 15, 15b located underneath.
- the intermediate floor 15b is also firmly connected to the side panels and cannot be displaced.
- the support 19 in the front area of the intermediate floor 15 is made of the same material and/or is at least provided with the same material surface 37, so that the cladding element 27 initially runs from the upper area via a rearward alignment in the direction of the rear wall 5 , then runs parallel thereto over an upper arcuate section 35a in front of the front side of the rear wall 5 downwards, in order to form a horizontal section in a lower area over an arcuate section 35b formed there expire, which rests on the top 15a of the intermediate floor 15.
- the support 19 is preferably attached and fastened (e.g. glued) to the upper side of the intermediate floor 15 in a suitable manner, so it can preferably at least not be easily removed or detached, or at least it can be attached using suitable measures (Velcro fastener, etc. ) attached to the intermediate floor 15 that this support 19 can not be easily slipped by the weight of the cladding element 27.
- the rear end face 19b of the support 19 forms a stop 39 against which the end face of this plate-shaped or mat-shaped cladding element 27 directly rests and is held by the dead weight of the cladding element 27 .
- the support 19 preferably has an identical height H as the overall thickness D of the cladding element 27, there is a continuous support, storage and/or seat surface F coming from the cladding element up to the support 19.
- the upper end of the cladding element 27 is preferably fixed by a retaining strip 41 fastened to the underside of the furniture cover or cover panel 11, which has a lower support leg 41a or is preferably designed with a groove shape in cross section.
- the retaining groove 43 thus includes in addition to the mentioned lower support leg 41a, in contrast, has an upper limiting leg 41b, the width of the groove being adapted to the material thickness of the cladding element 27.
- the cross-sectional view shown can be used to bring the cladding element 27 into the relevant position and securely anchor it in this position without using assembly aids and/or tools.
- the cladding element 27 can be designed in terms of its choice of material and/or thickness such that it has a good acoustic insulation value.
- the surface coating and/or the cladding element 27 can also be provided differently at all, different cladding elements with different materials and/or different surface materials and coatings and/or different color designs can be used depending on the customer's wishes, whereby the furniture in question is given a different design accent .
- rear stabilizing elements 45a, 45b can also be inserted in the above-mentioned upper and lower curved section 30a, 30b of the cladding element 27, which need only be located over a small transverse extent in the longitudinal direction of the furniture. These can therefore be comparatively narrow stabilizing elements 45a, 45b, which, however, are adapted to the rear arch of the cladding element 27 due to their specific front-side arch design in such a way that the corresponding arch section can rest securely here.
- the cladding element 27 cannot be pressed backwards even in the arch area, as a result of which the overall stability of the arrangement and the positioning is significantly improved.
- This lighting strip 47 preferably consists, for example, of an LED strip, i.e. with a large number of LED lamps 49 arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the piece of furniture.
- the corresponding LED bar can be plugged onto a preassembled mounting base bar 51 by means of a clamp, plug-in and/or snap-in fastener.
- the corresponding base mounting strip 51 is screwed onto the underside of the furniture cover plate 11, for example, which has two offset grooves 53a and 53b, which are accessible from the front.
- Corresponding plug-in legs 47a or 47b of the holding and/or lighting strip 47 can be inserted here from the front with horizontal components.
- This not only facilitates the installation of the lighting bar overall, but above all it also facilitates the anchoring section with the groove 43 and the two legs 41a and 41b of the groove 43. as this allows the corresponding groove to be inserted into this groove on the upper end face of the cladding element held in position. As a result, the positioning of the cladding element 27 can also be carried out in one movement without the use of tools.
- the aforementioned lighting strip 47 is designed and/or aligned in such a way that the lighting means illuminate the interior 25 with a beam direction 61, i.e. also with a component in the direction of the rear paneling element 27 and with a component in the direction of the support 19 Paneling element 27 fully illuminated in the rear area (where it runs vertically from top to bottom) but also in the underlying horizontally tapering area.
- the item of furniture explained can be produced in different widths and/or heights.
- the intermediate floor 15 can also be provided at different heights.
- a corresponding implementation would also be possible in which the cladding element 27 does not end at the level of the intermediate floor 15 but, for example, at the level of a furniture top panel 11 .
- the piece of furniture can be realized with a reduced overall height in that the piece of furniture does not have a furniture cover panel 11 and therefore the cladding element does not have the upper cladding element section with the upper arc section 35a.
- the cladding element 27 ends in a parallel alignment to the rear wall 5 of the piece of furniture and thus has only a lower arcuate section in which the cladding element 27 transitions from its vertical orientation to its horizontal orientation.
- the cladding element 27 would preferably be additionally attached to the rear wall 5 of the piece of furniture, for example glued on.
