Definitions
- the present invention relates to a gate with a fall protection according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such gates are suitable, among other things, for industrial use, for closing off production facilities, workshops and warehouses. For example, they are designed to mitigate air movement and help maintain temperatures in cooled or heated areas.
- Typical designs for doors with vertically movable door leaves are sectional doors, roller doors and spiral doors.
- Gates of this type can have gate leaves which are divided into sections that can be moved relative to one another, which are guided laterally in the gate frames and are opened or closed in a vertical movement.
- Gates with vertically movable gate leaves can be designed with or without weight compensation.
- Known counterbalancing systems include springs which are tensioned when the gate is closed and relax again when the gate is opened, the energy stored in the spring assisting the opening of the gate and thus allowing the gate to be moved with less effort. Gates without a counterweight reduce the production costs and the susceptibility to wear.
- Doors in industrial applications are often powered by electric motors;
- the motor is typically connected to the door leaf via a gearbox, with worm gears in particular, but also spur gears, chain or belt drives being used.
- a parallel direction of development is aimed at increasing the service life, with modern doors being able to complete up to 50,000 or more opening and closing cycles without failure.
- Friction occurs, such as the motor, the door leaf drive, the gear and the connections between the gear and motor or door leaf drive.
- a failure such as a material break in one of these door components, can cause the door leaf to fall. This poses great danger to objects and, above all, people who are in the area of the door opening when they fall.
- Known fall protection devices include mechanisms for detecting a door leaf fall and subsequent triggering of a fall blocking device.
- the GM 74 26 752 discloses a fall protection for a generic roller shutter.
- Said roller door essentially consists of movably interconnected slats which, when the door is opened, are wound up on a winding shaft attached in the area of the door lintel.
- the rotating winding shaft is connected to an electric motor by means of a worm gear.
- a fall protection system is triggered, which has two locking bolts attached to the bottom door section. These locking bolts, which are pretensioned during operation, are driven outwards into correspondingly shaped openings in the door frame when the fall protection is triggered, and the door is suddenly braked.
- the fall protection is triggered by means of a tachometer, which determines the speed of the winding shaft. Before the door is operated, a speed limit is defined, above which safe operation of the door cannot be guaranteed and a crash must be assumed. If the said limit speed is exceeded, the fall protection is triggered. In relation to the limit speed, the speed of the winding shaft is the monitoring variable that can be used to detect a malfunction. Errors in the gate that do not lead to an excessive increase in speed or, for example, to uncontrolled lowering of the gate at low speed, do not trigger the fall protection.
- Another fall protection for a gate is in the EP 1 882 802 A2 described.
- a control device processes the current setpoint value, direction of rotation and driving speed available internally and compares these with the actual value supplied by a position transmitter.
- Another function monitoring for a roller shutter is in the EP 0 808 985 A2 described.
- a sensor is provided there.
- a scanning device is used to measure the thickness of a layer, for example the thickness of an ice sheet on the goal.
- Other designs of gates are the JP 2007 177430 A and US2014/332172 described.
- the U.S. 5,551,535 A a door leaf drive, with a shaft driven by a motor, which a door leaf can move up and down. This gate has a fall arrest device.
- a measuring device monitors the rpm/speed of rotation of the shaft and the rpm/speed of rotation of the motor.
- the invention is based on the object of proposing a generic door with a fall protection and a method for triggering a fall protection which reliably detects a falling of the door leaf and just as reliably triggers a braking device which brakes the door quickly and thereby avoids damage to the door.
- a door with the features of claim 1 is specified.
- a method with the features of claim 11 is specified. Further advantageous developments are defined in the dependent claims.
- the coupling of the door leaf drive and the motor results in a defined relationship between the positions and movements of the door leaf, door leaf drive and motor that is determined by the design. Depending on the embodiment, this ratio can be given, for example, by the transmission ratio of a gear between the motor and the door leaf drive, or generally by the type of coupling of the motor and the door leaf drive.
- the movement parameters of the door leaf can be determined from the movement parameters of the motor using this defined ratio, and vice versa. If said movement parameters of the motor and door leaf are outside of this fixed relationship, a malfunction, such as the door falling, is assumed.
- the movement parameters of the door leaf and the motor are determined by the first and second measuring device and the measured values are evaluated in a comparator in which the design-related normal relationship of the movement parameters is stored.
- the braking device is triggered if the ratio of the measured movement parameters is outside the defined ratio.
- the second measuring device measures at least one movement component of the motor on the motor. From this, the current operating status of the motor can be determined and a sensible assessment of the operating status of the entire door can be made.
- the measured data can be evaluated quickly in order to initiate automatic braking of the gate in the event of a fault.
- a high level of safety is achieved with reliable triggering of the braking device in the event of faults.
- the anti-fall device is also triggered if the door leaf falls at a speed that is the same as or slower than the closing speed of the door in normal operation, i.e. slowly but uncontrollably sinks down. Furthermore, it is possible to stop the falling door leaf very soon after the start of the uncontrolled downward movement, favorably before it reaches a high rate of fall and accordingly requires large braking forces.
- a movement parameter of the door leaf determined by the first measuring device can be a translation speed of the door leaf. If the door falls, it is primarily indicated by the door leaf falling, i.e. a very rapid downward movement. By measuring the speed of the door leaf, a crash can be very reliably detected.
- a movement parameter of the door leaf determined by the first measuring device can be an angular position of the rotating door leaf drive.
- the angular position can be determined conveniently and in a space-saving manner close to the door leaf drive and independently of the current rotation speed of the door leaf drive, which depends on the operating status.
- a movement parameter of the motor determined by the second measuring device can favorably be a rotational speed of a rotating motor shaft.
- the speed of the motor shaft can be conveniently determined directly in the vicinity of the motor
- a movement parameter of the motor determined by the second measuring device can conceivably be an angular position of a rotating motor shaft.
- the angular position of the motor shaft can also be measured close to the motor to save space.
- the braking device has a friction brake.
- a friction brake allows the braking force to be deliberately dosed in order to achieve controlled deceleration of the door leaf. This allows the braking distance and the forces resulting from the negative acceleration, which act on the door leaf and the other components of the door, to be influenced.
- a braking element of the friction brake frictionally engages a braking surface rotating with the door leaf shaft when the braking device is actuated. Due to the frictional engagement, the door leaf is decelerated depending on the surfaces rubbing against each other and the force acting between the braking element and the braking surface.
- the one on the door leaf shaft applied brake can be placed in the area of the door leaf shaft to save space and independently of the extension of the door leaf when closed.
- the motor can be suitable for being controlled until the motor stops, with the door leaf being able to be held in one position, and with the motor being able to be designed in particular as a synchronous motor.
- Synchronous motors in particular are suitable for providing a high torque even at low speeds or when the motor shaft is stationary, in order to decelerate the door leaf or keep it stationary.
- the braking device can possibly stop a closing movement of the door leaf within a defined braking distance. This allows the forces occurring throughout the gate during deceleration to be limited to avoid damage to the gate, while the gate leaf is braked quickly enough to prevent damage and injury to objects and people in the gate area.
- At least one drive wheel formed on the door leaf drive can act on at least one drive means extending in a vertical direction of the door. This achieves good coupling between the door leaf drive and the door leaf and ensures reliable movement of the door leaf, particularly at high movement speeds.
- the door leaf can be stored in an open position in a kind of spiral guide. This allows the door leaf to be stored in a particularly space-saving manner while the door is open.
- the object according to the invention is also achieved by a method having the features of claim 11.
- the measured movement parameters of the motor and the door leaf are compared in the comparator. Due to the construction of the door, these movement parameters are in a defined relationship to each other in all normal operating states of the door, so that a Deviation from this relationship indicates damage to the door and the risk of the door leaf falling. If such a deviation outside of specified tolerances is detected in the comparator during the comparison of the previously measured movement parameters, a braking device is triggered in order to prevent the door leaf from falling and to decelerate the door.
- This error determination can be carried out reliably in all operating states.
- the door can be braked at speeds below the normal speed of the door leaf, for example at the start of the falling movement or when the door is slowly but uncontrolled lowering.
- a translation speed of the door leaf can be advantageously determined by means of the first measuring device. As a result, a falling of the door, which is accompanied by a downward movement of the door leaf at an uncontrolled speed of the door leaf, can be detected directly on the door leaf and thus very reliably.
- an angular position of the door leaf drive can be determined by means of the first measuring device.
- the angular position of the door leaf drive can be determined directly on the door leaf drive and by means of a space-saving arrangement of the second measuring device.
- a speed of a rotating motor shaft of the motor can be determined by means of the second measuring device.
- the speed lends itself well to the movement of the engine and can be measured relatively easily directly on the engine.
- the angular position of a rotating motor shaft of the motor can be determined by means of the second measuring device. Regardless of the speed of rotation, the current orientation of the rotating motor shaft can be conveniently determined directly in the vicinity of the motor.
- the opening and/or closing of the gate can be delayed by means of a friction brake.
- This enables the braking force to be metered, by means of which the door leaf can be decelerated in such a way that danger to people and objects in the area of the door is kept low and at the same time damage to the door due to high braking forces and abrupt braking is avoided.
- a braking element can be brought into frictional engagement with a braking surface rotating with the door leaf drive.
- the braking element can be designed to save space in the area of the door leaf drive and can achieve a controlled braking effect by means of the frictional connection.
- the braking device may be able to stop the closing movement of the door within a defined braking distance. By defining the braking distance, it can be ensured that the gate is stopped quickly enough to ensure safety for people and objects in the area of the gate in the event of a fall, and at the same time the deceleration can be limited to avoid damage to the gate due to sudden braking.
- the following embodiments relate primarily to high-speed doors, ie doors whose door leaves reach vertical speeds of more than 1.5 m/s, 2 m/s and in particular in the range from 2 to 4 m/s.
- figure 1 1 is a schematic plan view of a partially open door, approximately one-third open.
- the door leaf 10 extends between two door frames 11, in which it is guided laterally.
- Above the door opening in the area of the door lintel 12 is a door leaf shaft 5, which is part of a door leaf drive and extends approximately over the entire width of the door.
- the door leaf is formed from mutually movable parallel aligned sections. At its opposite horizontal ends, the door leaf is connected to a drive chain, which extends inside one of the door frames.
- a gear wheel which is rigidly connected to the door drive shaft 5, engages in each of the drive chains.
- rotation of the door leaf shaft 5 causes the door leaf to be raised and lowered.
- the door leaf is guided past the door leaf shaft into a spiral-shaped rail in which the door leaf is stored when open.
- the door is designed as a roller door with a flexible door leaf, which is wound onto the door leaf shaft.
- the door leaf drive with the door leaf shaft 5 is connected to an electric motor 3 via a gear 4, the connection between the motor and the door leaf shaft 5 being realized by means of a chain drive.
- Alternative embodiments can also be equipped with belts, spur, bevel or worm drives or can do without a gear.
- the motor shaft can be directly connected to the door leaf shaft without a gear.
- a holding brake 2 is implemented on the motor, which brakes the motor and also the door leaf through the coupling of motor and door leaf drive in normal operation and can hold it in one position.
- the goal has no counterbalance.
- tension or compression springs for example, can be designed in the frames or in the lintel to compensate for the weight.
- the door described therein has a sectional door leaf which, when open, is mounted in a spiral, gear wheels engaging in drive chains running on both sides of the door leaf.
- the motor is coupled to a drive shaft of the door leaf via a belt.
- a second measuring device 1 which measures a rotational speed of the motor shaft of the electric motor 3 , is also implemented on the motor.
- RPM measurement methods known from the prior art are used here, for example by means of induction transmitters or light barriers.
- speed measurement methods provide digital information on the distance covered by the motor shaft in the form of square-wave signals, which are counted in control units.
- the angular position can be represented by the measuring device in the form of phase-shifted sine/cosine functions.
- the measuring device is a rotary feedback system that outputs both the angular position via sine/cosine periods and the absolute number of revolutions as digital information.
- the measuring device can be used for the commutation of the motor at the same time.
- the absolute position is output as digital information with a specific resolution. The resolution should be as high as possible in order to achieve short reaction times and braking distances.
- a first measuring device 6 is implemented on the door leaf shaft 5, which also measures the speed of the door leaf shaft 5 by means of known speed measuring methods.
- the first measuring device is a sensor system that outputs pulses that are phase-shifted relative to one another on two signal coils.
- the measured values of the first and second measuring device are transmitted to a comparator 9 via lines 13 , 14 .
- the measurement can be transmitted via analog voltage values or in digital form if the first and second measuring device can already convert the measured speed values into digital signals. As a rule, digital information transmission is preferred.
- the comparator can be designed as an electronic component. Alternatively, the comparator can also be implemented as a digital component or by software.
- the speed can be deduced from the changes in the position values of the two measuring devices with reference to the elapsed time.
- the speed and position of the door leaf can be determined.
- the measured values are transmitted from the frames 11 to the comparator 9 via a line 17 .
- the first measuring device is a light grid, for example, which is arranged directly in the plane of movement of the door leaf and supplies the comparator 9 with the position of the interrupted light beam when a specific light beam is interrupted.
- the measured values transmitted by the two measuring devices relating to the speeds of the door leaf shaft and the motor shaft are set in relation to one another. Since the door leaf shaft 5 and the motor shaft 3 are coupled to one another via the gear 4, their speeds must be in a fixed ratio to one another in all operating states. If the comparator determines that the actual ratio between the measured speeds deviates from the ratio determined by the design, decoupling between the door leaf drive and motor 3 is assumed, which can be caused, for example, by a gear failure and, in the worst case, result in the door leaf 10 falling . In this case, the safety brake 7 is immediately triggered by the comparator, in that a braking signal is passed through line 15 to the safety brake 7 .
- the comparator is designed in such a way that it can read in the absolute position values of the measuring device 6 and, in parallel, can count the pulses arriving from the second measuring device.
- the phase shift of the incoming signals allows a distinction to be made between subtraction and addition.
- FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment in a sectional view.
- a control 19 which can be operated from the outside and in which the motor control and the comparator 9 are also implemented.
- the lines between the comparator 9 and the measuring devices 1, 6 are routed within the door frames 11 and the lintel 12.
- the door leaf shaft 5, which lies in the cutting plane, is supported at both ends in the area of the door frames by a roller bearing 20 in each case.
- the power is transmitted between the motor 3 and the door leaf shaft 5 by means of a chain 21 which is guided on a chain wheel 23 of the motor shaft and a chain wheel 24 of the door leaf shaft 5 .
- the motor 3 is carried out within the spiral 22 in which the door leaf 10 is stored in the open state.
- the second measuring device 1 is implemented inside the housing of the motor 3 .
- the first measuring device 6 is designed on the motor-side end of the door leaf shaft.
- a mechanical service brake which is used to brake the motor and the door leaf coupled to it during normal operation and to hold them in one position.
- the safety brake 7 is designed as a spring-loaded disc brake.
- a brake disk 26 is formed on the door leaf shaft so as to be non-rotatable.
- Two brake shoes 27 with brake pads attached on both sides of the brake disc are prestressed in the direction of the brake disc 26 by means of spring force and are held at a distance from the brake disc by means of an electromagnet counter to the spring force.
- the electromagnets are deactivated so that the brake shoes 27 are pressed against the brake disc by the spring force and the door leaf shaft 5 brakes.
- figure 5 shows the in 2
- the area marked B is enlarged and shows in particular the connection between the motor 3 and the door leaf shaft 5 via the sprockets 23 and the chain 21.
- the first measuring device 6 is carried out on the right-hand end of the door leaf shaft 5.
- the embodiment shown is substantially similar to the second embodiment in FIGS Figures 2 to 5 .
- the main difference is that the motor shaft and the door leaf shaft 5 are at right angles to one another here.
- the power is transmitted by means of an angular gear 28 with a bevel gear.
- the design of a worm gear or the like is also conceivable.
- the embodiment shown corresponds essentially to the embodiment in FIGS Figures 2 to 5 .
- the main differences are the use of a synchronous motor 3, which can be regulated down to zero speed and can brake and hold the door leaf during operation.
- the motor therefore requires no additional mechanical service brake in the motor housing and no transmission gear.
- the motor shaft is coupled directly to the door leaf shaft 5.
- This measured value is set in relation to the measurement on the motor shaft in the comparator in order to detect a failure of the gate.
- the embodiment shown essentially corresponds to the embodiment in FIG 7 . What is different is the arrangement of the motor, which is arranged here as a tubular motor inside the door leaf shaft.
