Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for sharpening pencils, in particular for sharpening pencils of different diameters, comprising two sharpener units, each comprising a housing part and at least one sharpening device which is arranged or formed at least in sections in the housing part and comprises at least one sharpening element which is accessible via an access opening .
  • Such devices sometimes also referred to as “double or multiple sharpeners”, are known per se.
  • the particular practicality of these devices is that they have two sharpening units which (each) comprise different sharpening devices, by means of which different pencils, i. H. in particular, pins having different outer diameters or different (geometric) outer configurations can be sharpened; different pencils can be sharpened with one and the same device.
  • U.S. 5,987,759 A discloses a pencil sharpener having a closable sharpener opening.
  • U.S. 2009/067912 A1 and DE 15 11 450 A1 disclose pencil sharpeners that have multiple sharpening units and are suitable for use with pencils of various diameters.
  • the invention is based on the object of specifying an improved device for sharpening pins, in particular for sharpening pins of different diameters.
  • the device described herein is generally for sharpening pens.
  • pins with different (geometric) external configurations ie in particular different diameters or different cross-sectional geometry, can be sharpened with this device.
  • the device can be referred to as or considered "double or multiple sharpener" in the appropriate configuration.
  • any type of pencil that can be sharpened ie in particular paint, cosmetic, writing or drawing pencils, can be sharpened with the device.
  • the device includes two (separate) sharpening units.
