Definitions

  • the invention relates to a watch glass with at least one gemstone such as a diamond or other gemstone. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a watch comprising such a watch glass.
  • Watch glasses with jewelry or gemstones are well known.
  • such a watch glass is made of two interconnected glasses, the gems are each inserted in a recess of the watch glass.
  • the thickness of the finished watch glass depends on the size of the gem.
  • the watch glass is very thick, which can lead to a massive and not very elegant watch.
  • the manufacturing process of a watch glass of two glasses can be complex and expensive.
  • the preamble of claim 1 is made JP 2008 089533 A previously known.
  • a watch glass which comprises at least one gemstone, a socket, which has at least one pin-shaped projection and in which the gemstone is received, and at least one continuous recess, in which at least the pin-shaped projection of the socket is arranged, wherein the pin-shaped approach is attached to the watch glass.
  • the application of the gems is made easier and cheaper than watch glasses in which the gems between two interconnected watch glasses are arranged.
  • Another advantage of the present invention is that the Watch glass can be made relatively thin, whereby a clock can be considerably flatter. This provides additional design possibilities as well as a different visual impression of a clock.
  • a continuous recess by providing a continuous recess, the application of the socket with the gemstone and the connection with the watch glass can be made easier because access to the recess from both sides of the watch glass is possible.
  • a continuous recess can be made simpler and cheaper, for example, as a blind hole.
  • the watch glass can be advantageously made of saffron glass, which is harder and more scratch resistant than other glass types.
  • the recess is designed in particular as a bore with a circular cross-section.
  • the recess may have other shapes such as the shape of a rectangle.
  • the pin-shaped projection preferably has a circular cross-section, but other shapes are also conceivable within the scope of the invention.
  • the pin-shaped projection of the socket is riveted.
  • the socket with the pin-shaped area serves as a rivet, in which a rivet head is formed at the end of the pin-shaped projection.
  • the pin-shaped projection of the socket can be adhesively bonded to the watch glass according to the invention, particularly preferably adhesively bonded. Bonding provides a simple and inexpensive way to attach the parts together. The advantage of bonding in combination with a continuous recess in the watch glass is that a larger adhesive surface between the neck and the watch glass is available.
  • the socket is at least partially disposed on a surface of the watch glass. This results in a high-quality optical effect, since the gem is on or on the surface of the watch glass. Especially when the watch glass is viewed from a flat angle, depending on the design of the frame, the gemstone may be visible from the side. If the gemstone is placed on the surface of the watch glass, the gemstone is much more prominent and dominates the watch. When the gemstone is recessed in the recess so that the top of the gemstone is over the surface of the watch glass, an elegant optical effect combined with a compact construction of the watch glass is achieved.
  • the recess has a first cross-sectional area and at least one second cross-sectional area, the first cross-sectional area having a substantially larger cross-section than the second cross-sectional area.
  • the first cross-sectional area is cone-shaped or conical while the second cross-sectional area is pin-shaped.
  • a recess can be carried out quickly, cost-effectively and accurately.
  • the recess can advantageously accommodate a funnel-shaped socket.
  • the inventive shape of the recess, the insertion of the socket is predetermined, which facilitates the positioning of the socket in the recess.
  • the first cross-sectional area is arranged according to the invention on the underside of the watch glass.
  • a flexibility in securing the socket on the watch glass and the design of the socket is possible.
  • the first cross-sectional area is formed on the underside of the watch glass, the advantage is that the pin-shaped projection is riveted without the projection over the underside of the watch glass protrudes.
  • the watch glass can thus be made shallower.
  • the socket may have a plurality of pin-shaped projections and the watch glass may have a plurality of recesses, wherein the pin-shaped projections are each arranged in a recess of the plurality of recesses.
  • the watch glass can be provided with larger gemstones.
  • Another aspect of the present invention relates to a timepiece comprising a timepiece according to the invention.
  • the watch according to the invention can be made thin by the use of a single watch glass and offers a high-quality optical effect, since the gems are immediately and directly recognizable from several viewing angles.
  • the very prominent position of the gemstones give the watch a completely new character and recognition value, which can be a trademark of the watch of high value.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 a watch glass 1 according to an example described in detail.
  • the Fig. 1 shows a clock 10 in the form of a wristwatch with a housing 11 and a watch glass 1, which is arranged in the housing 11 and provided with gemstones 2.
  • the gemstones 2 are each taken in a version 3.
  • the housing 11 and the watch glass 1 are circular, but may have any other shape such as a rectangle, a polygon, etc.
  • four gemstones 2 shown as diamonds are arranged with a constant radius in the circumferential direction equidistant from each other in the watch glass 1.
  • the position and the number of gems 2 can be chosen arbitrarily depending on the watch design.
  • the watch 10 further includes a dial 12, which is formed for example as a gold leaf, and three hands 13 for the display of hours, minutes and seconds, and two connections for a bracelet 14.
  • the Fig. 2 is a highly simplified, schematic view of a section AA of a portion of the watch glass 1 of Fig. 1 ,
  • the holder 3 has a receiving region 32, in which the gemstone 2 is received, and is provided with a pin-shaped projection 30.
  • the socket 3, which is formed of gold, platinum or other durable material, can already be made together with the pin-shaped projection 30. Alternatively, the socket 3 can be soldered onto the pin-shaped projection 30.
  • the pin-shaped projection 30 is inserted into a continuous recess 4 of the watch glass 1, which is formed as a bore with a circular cross-section.
  • the receiving region 32 of the frame 3 is arranged completely on a surface 5 of the watch glass 1.
  • the reference numeral 31 denotes a rivet head which is formed during the riveting operation.
  • the version 3 can be compressed with the pin-shaped projection 30, for example by means of a rivet tool.
  • the projection 30 is shorter and bulged in the recess 4, which in particular has a rough inner surface produced by the drilling process. As a result, a firm attachment of the lug 30 on the watch glass 1 and a tightness of the recess 4 is ensured.
  • FIG. 3 Another example of the watch glass 1 is shown.
  • the recess 4 is also formed throughout.
  • the recess 4 is formed in two stages and has a first cross-sectional area 41 and a second cross-sectional area 42.
  • the first cross-sectional area 41 is conical and the second cross-sectional area 42 is formed as a cylindrical bore.
  • the first cross-sectional area 41 is arranged on the surface 5 of the watch glass 1.
  • the receiving region 32 of the holder 3, which has a funnel-shaped geometry matching the recess 4, is arranged partly in the first cross-sectional region 41 of the recess 4 and partly on the surface 5 of the watch glass 1.
  • the watch glass 1 differs according to another example of the watch glasses 1 of the first two examples, characterized in that the pin-shaped projection 30 is formed flush with the bottom 6 of the watch glass 1. Thus, the size of the clock 10 can be reduced. Another difference is that the projection 30 is glued to the watch glass 1 in the recess 4. An advantage of this type of attachment is that the gemstone 2 can be taken already in the version 3, before the socket 3 is glued into the watch glass 1. Thus, a simple handling and accurate positioning of the gem 2 in the version 3 is possible.
  • the socket 3 can be upset with the pin-shaped projection 30 so that the projection 30 widened in the recess 4 and thus a positive and non-positive connection between the neck 30 and the watch glass 1 is produced.
  • the recess 4 is formed in two stages, wherein the first cross-sectional area 41 is arranged on the underside 6 of the watch glass 1.
  • the socket 3 is pressed, so that the pin-shaped projection 30 is riveted in the first cross-sectional area 41.
  • the projection 30 in the recess 4 is positively and non-positively connected to the watch glass 1.
  • the projection 30 is aligned with the underside 6 of the watch glass. 1
  • the socket 3 may according to another example, a plurality of pin-shaped projections 30 have, as in the FIGS. 6 and 7 is shown. Accordingly, the watch glass 1 has a plurality of recesses 4, in which the pin-shaped projections 30 are inserted. The attachment of the socket 3 on the watch glass 1 is ensured by riveting the lugs 30. The receiving area 32 of the frame 3 is arranged on the surface 5 of the watch glass 1.
  • the Fig. 8 shows the complete watch glass 1 of FIGS. 6 and 7 , in which twelve gems 2 are arranged by means of frames 3.
  • the sockets 3 are arranged such that the sockets 3 are assigned to the times. This arrangement provides a uniform and elegant appearance of the watch glass 1 and thus simplifies the recognition of the time.
  • the Fig. 9 illustrates another example of the watch glass 1.
  • the socket 3 is sunk in the recess 4, whereby even larger gems can be used without the entire height of the watch glass 1 is too large.
  • the receiving portion 32 of the socket 3 is exposed in the recess. 4
  • FIG. 10 Another example of the watch glass 1 ( Fig. 10 ) provides a version 3, which is designed such that the gemstone 2 is taken over his Rundist 20. This gives the watch glass a high quality appearance because the gemstone can be viewed from multiple angles.
  • Fig. 3 is a plan view of a watch glass 1 of an embodiment of the present invention.
  • the watch glass 1 three recesses 4 are formed, which serve to receive three pin-shaped projections 30 of a triangular socket 3.
  • the pin-shaped projections 30 may be fastened by riveting and / or gluing on the watch glass 1.
  • Fig. 12 a watch glass 1 according to an embodiment of the invention, which comprises a plurality of elongate sockets 3a, for example according to FIGS
  • FIGS. 6 to 8 and a plurality of triangular sockets 3b according to the Fig. 11 having.
