L'invention concerne un paquet de cigarettes qui comprend une partie boîte (11) au moins délimitée par une paroi avant (15), une paroi arrière (12), des parois latérales (16, 17) et un fond (14), au moins un groupe de cigarettes, sous forme de bloc de cigarettes (29), de préférence parallélépipédique, enveloppé dans une découpe intérieure, étant disposé dans la partie boîte (11), et ledit paquet (10) présentant des dimensions prédéfinies en termes de largeur, de profondeur et de hauteur et au moins une dimension dudit au moins un bloc de cigarettes (29) étant inférieure à une dimension correspondante de l'espace intérieur de la partie boîte (11), de sorte que le bloc de cigarettes (29) ne remplit pas l'espace intérieur de la partie boîte (11) par rapport à au moins une dimension, et un col (26) étant disposé dans la partie boîte (11), lequel est au moins partiellement adjacent, par une paroi avant (27), à la paroi avant (15) de la partie boîte (11), et les parois latérales (28) du col (26), disposées sur les côtés de la paroi avant (27) du col (26), étant adjacentes à des parois latérales (16, 17) correspondantes de la partie boîte (11), ledit col (26) servant à compenser une différence de dimension entre au moins une dimension du bloc de cigarettes (29) et une dimension de l'espace intérieur de la partie boîte (11). L'invention est caractérisée en ce qu'une paroi (27) du col (26) est partiellement adjacente à la paroi correspondante (15) de la partie boîte (11) et partiellement disposée à une certaine distance de la paroi correspondante (15) de la partie boîte (11) et elle repose contre le bloc de cigarettes (29) afin de compenser une différence de dimension entre deux dimensions correspondantes respectivement du bloc de cigarettes (29) et de la partie boîte (11).
