Abstract

Against this background, the object of the invention is to further develop packs for cigarettes, in particular with regard to the most advantageous possible inclusion of different pack contents in preferably standardized packs, as well as with regard to the simplest possible manufacturability on conventional packaging machines. A package for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. Accordingly, it is provided that a wall of the collar partially abuts against the corresponding wall of the box part and is partially spaced from the corresponding wall of the box part and supports the cigarette block to compensate for a corresponding different dimension of the cigarette block compared to the corresponding dimension of the box part.

In this way, the interior of the box part can be reduced with respect to one or more dimensions of the cigarette block, in particular with regard to a smaller width or depth of the cigarette block. Since only the adjustment of the collar is required to adapt to or any smaller dimension, the effort to retrofit the packaging machines is limited. In addition, no additional blanks or other tools are needed to safely position the cigarette group in the box part.

The invention will be described below with reference to various embodiments, each of which relates to a pack 10 of the hinge-Ud-packing type for cigarettes. It is explicitly pointed out that the invention may relate to other types of packs for cigarettes.

The packs 10 shown in the figures consist of a box part 11 and a pivotally mounted in the region of a rear wall 12 of the box part 1 1 lid 13. The box part 11 further consists of a (bottom) bottom wall 14 and an (upright) front wall 15, the Rear wall 12 opposite. Side walls 16, 17 connect rear wall 12 and front wall 15 with each other and are formed from overlapping, inner and outer side flaps 18, 19. Another component of the packs 10 is in each case a collar 26 in a different configuration. Basic components of the collar 26 but are always a front wall 27 which rests against the front wall 15 of the box part 1 1 and optionally connected to this by gluing. Unless it is pointed out in the context of this application that the dimensions (of cigarette block 29 on the one hand and the interior of the box part 1 or 10 on the other hand), this does not refer to the usual deviations that are usually present in the course of dimensional and manufacturing tolerances or for the purpose of simple removal of cigarettes, but to deviations that go beyond this measure.

Rather, the invention relates to deviations in the dimensions which result from the fact that one or more cigarette blocks 29 are received within the pack 10, which have a smaller package content due to the number and / or dimensions of the cigarettes than is usual with such packs 10 there are significant differences in dimensions which must be properly compensated to safely accommodate the cigarette block 29 in the package 10 despite the differing dimensions. In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, to reduce the depth of the box part 11, the front wall 27 of the collar 26 is folded along two fold lines 31, 32. The fold lines 31, 32 extend transversely to an imaginary longitudinal axis 33 of the collar 26.

The fold lines 31, 32 divide the front wall 27 into three sections, namely an upper section 34, a middle connecting section 35 and a lower section 36. The three sections are folded around the fold lines 31, 32 so that the section 34 is on the inside on the front wall 15 of the box part 11 abuts, whereas the portion 36 is arranged parallel to the portion 34 but at a distance from the front wall 15 of the box part, and wherein the distance results from the corresponding dimension of the connecting portion 35. The front wall 27 of the collar 26 is thus folded in a Z-shape around the fold lines 31, 32. The connecting portion 35 is directed transversely to the two sections 34, 36. Preferably, the fold lines 31, 32 are formed as perforation lines.

It is understood that the collar 26 can of course also have more than two fold lines 31, 32, so that a different folding of the front wall 27 of the collar 26 results. In order to be able to fold the front wall 27 of the collar 26 in the manner shown, further separating cuts 37 are provided between the front wall 27 and the two side walls 28. The separating cuts 37 extend along the fold line 38 between the front wall 27 and the two side walls 28 from the first fold line 31 to the underside 39 of the collar 26. The holding means 43 are formed by folding tabs 48 which are formed in the side walls 28 of the collar 26.
