Abstract

The invention relates to a pack for products from the cigarette industry, the pack (10) having a box part (11) for accommodating a pack content (21), and the pack having predetermined dimensions in terms of width, depth and height and at least one dimension of the pack contents (21) is smaller than a corresponding dimension of the interior of the box part (11), so that the interior of the box part (11) is not filled by the pack contents (21) with respect to at least one dimension, and wherein in the box part (11) a collar (13) is arranged, which serves to compensate for the at least one dimension, and wherein a wall of the collar (13), in particular a front wall (17) of the collar (13), has several sections (16, 19, 20), which are connected to one another by folding lines (22), and wherein a section (16) on a side wall of the box part (11), in particular on a large-area front wall (18) of the box part (11), at least partially abuts and another portion (20) of the wall is spaced from the side wall of the box part (11) and supports the pack contents (21). Description

The invention relates to a pack for products of the cigarette industry, the pack having a box part for accommodating a pack content, and the pack having predetermined dimensions in terms of width, depth and height and at least one dimension of the pack content being smaller than a corresponding dimension of the Interior of the box part, so that the interior of the box part is not filled by the contents of the pack in relation to at least one dimension, and wherein a collar is arranged in the box part, which serves to compensate for the at least one dimension, and wherein a wall of the collar, in particular a front wall of the collar, has a plurality of sections which are connected to one another by fold lines, and wherein one section rests at least partially against a side wall of the box part, in particular against a large front wall of the box part, and another section of the wall at a distance from the side wall nd of the box part and supporting the contents of the pack, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a pack for products of the cigarette industry according to the preamble of claim 9.

Packs of the type mentioned are known from practice (see 1 and 2 ). It has turned out to be disadvantageous that during the manufacture of this pack it can happen that the front wall of the collar is bulged in a wavy manner in certain areas. On the one hand, this affects the shape of the pack. On the other hand, however, the reliable securing of the lid in the closed position is also impaired.

Proceeding from this, the invention is based on the object of further developing packs of the type mentioned at the outset, in particular with regard to improved quality and/or improved practicability.

A pack according to the invention has the features of claim 1. Provision is therefore made for at least one of the fold lines to have a curved course, such that the section of the wall of the collar which bears at least partially against the side wall of the box part has a (slightly) arched course in cross section.

It has been shown that a (correspondingly) curved course of the section of the wall of the collar can be predetermined by the curved course of the fold line, while at the same time a partial formation of waves or bulges in the material of the section of the wall can be counteracted.

Insofar as this application is based on the fact that the dimensions of the package contents on the one hand and the interior of the box part or the package on the other hand are different, this does not refer to the usual deviations that occur in the course of dimensional and manufacturing tolerances or for the purpose of simpler Removal of the products are usually present, but deviations that go beyond this level.

Rather, the application relates to deviations in the dimensions that arise from the fact that the contents of the pack are contained within the pack, which, due to the number and/or dimensions of the products contained therein, have different dimensions than are otherwise usual for such packs, so that significant differences in the dimensions, which must be compensated in an appropriate manner in order to contain the contents of the pack securely in the pack, despite the different dimensions.

Within the scope of the application, products of the cigarette industry are understood to mean tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigarillos and the like, but also novel tobacco products such as heat-not-burn products or liquid carriers for e-cigarettes.

It can preferably be provided that the section of the wall of the collar resting against the side wall of the box part and the section of the wall of the collar spaced apart from the corresponding side wall of the box part are connected to one another by at least one further section of the wall of the collar as a connecting section, with the first-mentioned Sections are arranged to run essentially parallel to the plane of the corresponding side wall of the box part and the connecting section is arranged to run at an angle, in particular transversely, to the plane of the corresponding side wall.

In a preferred embodiment it can be provided that (narrow) side walls of the box part are formed by inner side tabs and outer side tabs, and that the second holding means and/or support means are arranged on the inner side tabs.

A pack according to the invention, which can also be a development of the pack according to claim 1 (and vice versa), has the features of claim 9. Accordingly, it is provided that the pack has at least one receiving space for objects, in particular for waste.

Provision can preferably be made for the pack contents to have a lower height than the box part and for the receiving space to be formed below the pack contents.

It is also conceivable that the receiving space is formed below the pack contents and is delimited below by a bottom wall of the box part and laterally by a large front wall, a rear wall opposite the front wall and narrow side walls of the box part connecting the front wall and rear wall to one another.

Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that the pack contents are less deep than the box part and that the receiving space is formed in front of or behind the pack contents, in particular in such a way that the receiving space is formed between a large side wall of the box part and the pack contents.

In a preferred embodiment it can be provided that the receiving space is formed below the pack contents and between the pack contents and a front wall or a rear wall of the box part.

A special feature can be that access to the receiving space is through the collar of the pack, which at least partially delimits the receiving space at the top and which has an opening for this purpose.

It is preferably provided that the collar has a section which runs transversely, preferably essentially perpendicularly, to the plane of the front wall or rear wall of the box part and closes off the receiving space at the top, and that the opening to the receiving space is formed in this section.

According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the opening is defined at least in part by a stamping, severing or perforating cut in the material of the collar, and that the opening is initially closed by a tab defined by the cut in the material of the collar, which for access can be brought into a position releasing the opening in relation to the receiving space, in particular by pivoting or separating out the tab.

Preferably, at least one group of products, which is wrapped in an inner blank and is preferably cuboid, is arranged as the contents of the pack in the box part.

The box part of the pack preferably has at least opposite large-area side walls, in particular a front wall and a rear wall, as well as narrow side walls connecting the large-area side walls and a base wall. A cover can also be provided.

The pack 10 is designed as a hinged-lid pack and, in addition to a box part 11 open at the top, has a pivotably mounted lid 12. In the box part 11, a collar 13 is also arranged. The collar 13 rests with both side walls 14 on the inside against the narrow side walls 15 of the pack 10 . An upper section 16 of a front wall 17 of the collar 13 rests partially on the inside, namely with a lower region, against a front wall 18 of the pack 10 . Section 16 is adjoined by a transverse section 19, and section 19 by section 20, which serves to support the pack contents 21, which do not fill the box part 11 in terms of depth. The three sections 16, 19 and 20 of the front wall 17 of the collar 13 are connected to one another by fold lines 22. The middle section 19 serves as a connecting section for the two sections 16 and 20. The lower section 20 runs in the pack 10 parallel to the upper section 16 and to the front wall 18 of the pack 10.

As usual, the box part 11 or the pack 10 has, in addition to the front wall 18 , a rear wall 23 lying opposite thereto and a bottom wall 24 . The front wall 17 and the rear wall 23 are connected by the narrow side walls 15 . The bottom wall 24 is peripherally connected to the front wall 18, the rear wall 23 and the narrow side walls 15.

In the plane of the front wall 17 of the collar 13 laterally protruding collar brakes 25 are formed. When the cover 12 is closed, these collar brakes 25 rest against the inside of the narrow side walls 15 of the cover 12 and help to keep the cover 12 in a closed position.

It has been shown that the pressure exerted by the narrow side walls 15 of the lid 12 via the collar brakes 25 on the front wall 17 of the collar 13, in particular during the manufacture of the pack 10, can result in the front wall 17 partially, particularly in a central Area 26 of the section 16 above the front wall 18 of the box part 11, for example, is bulged in a wavy manner. The fact that section 16 of front wall 17 of collar 13 is not supported by pack contents 21 at the rear also contributes to this.

To solve this problem, collar 13 was removed as in 4 shown adjusted. A first special feature of the blank shown for a collar 13 and of the collar 13 produced from it is that the fold line 22 has a curved course between the section 16 and the section 19 serving as a connecting section. This then executes like 6 visible to a section 16 of the front wall 17 of the collar 13, which is correspondingly curved in cross section.

The problem described can be counteracted and buckling counteracted by the curvature of the front wall 17 or of the section 16 of the front wall 17 . In addition, not only the front wall 17 or the section 16 can be stiffened in this way, but also the front wall 18 of the box part 11.

In the present exemplary embodiment, section 16 of front wall 17 is curved outwards, i.e. in the direction of front wall 18 of box part 11.

The fold line 22 is preferably formed by a perforation line.

6 FIG. 1 also shows that the upper section 16 of the collar 13 now rests against the front wall 18 of the box part 11 or the pack 10 only in a central area. In this area it can be provided that the section 16 is glued to the front wall 18 . Two adhesive dots 27 are shown as an example.

In contrast to the prior art according to 1 In the exemplary embodiment according to the invention, a package content 21 is provided which, in addition to being less deep than the interior of the box part, is also less high than the latter, so that an underside of the package content 21 is arranged at a distance from the bottom wall 24 .

The gluing of the pack contents 21 to the box part 11 can serve to prevent the pack contents 21 from slipping into the box part 11 . Additionally or alternatively, support means 33 can be provided, which can support the pack contents 21 on the underside. In the present case, folding tabs 30, which are formed by punching in the material of inner side tabs 31 of the narrow side walls 15, serve as support means 33. Together with the outer side tabs 32, the inner side tabs 31 form the narrow side walls 15. The folding tabs 30 are pivoted about a fold line 34 out of the plane of the narrow side walls 15 in such a way that they support the pack contents 21 on the underside.

The (connecting) section 19 is also supported on the underside in a similar manner. Serve for this purpose (first and second) holding means 35, 36, which are formed accordingly by folding tabs 37, 38 and are pivoted about a fold line 39, 40 out of the plane of the side walls 14 of the collar 13 on the one hand or out of the plane of the narrow side walls 15, to support section 19 on the underside.

Another special feature is that the pack 10 or the box part 11 has a receiving space 41 for objects 42, in particular for waste.

In the present case, the pack 10 according to 5 intended for (heat-not-burn) sticks 43 as package content 21. The sticks 43 are shorter than conventional cigarettes, so that with the usual size of the pack 10 and the arrangement of the pack contents 21 in the box part 11 (top of the pack contents 21 roughly flush with the top of the collar 13), there is a free space below the pack contents 21 in the box part 11, which Recording space 41 is used. The receiving space 41 also extends into the area between the pack contents 21 and the front wall 18 of the box part 11, since the pack contents 21 also have a smaller depth than the interior of the box part 11. This section of the receiving space 41 is covered at the top by the section 19 of the collar 13, which therefore has a dual function.

The collar 13 serves to separate the interior of the box part 11 into a space for receiving the pack contents 21 and into the receiving space 41.

In order to gain access to the receiving space 41, the collar 13 has an opening 44, namely in the transverse section 19. The opening 44 can be at least partially delimited by a (stamping, separating or perforating) cut 45 in the material of the collar 13 . The opening 44 can initially be closed by a tab 46 delimited by the cut 45 in the material of the collar 13, which can be brought into a position exposing the opening 44 for the purpose of access to the receiving space 41, in particular by pivoting or separating out the tab 46.

The contour of the cut 45 can be in the form of radially intersecting incisions, circles of perforations, U-shaped or rectangular stampings or scores.

It is also conceivable that several openings 44 are provided, in particular with the same and/or different dimensions or geometries.

Since heat-not-burn sticks 43 are generally only heated and not burned, there is almost no ash or burn-off. After consuming a stick 43, it cools down quickly, so that the used or consumed sticks 43 as Waste can be collected in the receiving space 41.

It is provided that the sticks 43 are wrapped in an envelope 47 made of a suitable packaging material. For example, an aluminum layer of a laminated packaging material can serve as a separating barrier to the receiving space 41 and prevent the remaining sticks 43 in the casing 47 from being burnt if the used sticks 43 in the receiving space 41 are still smoldering. The sticks 43 can be removed from the cover 47 after opening the folding tabs 48 ( 5 ).

The package content 21 can be as in 5 shown to be two sets of sticks 43 placed in a separate enclosure 47. However, one or more groups of sticks 43 in a single or common casing 47 are also conceivable

A relatively small opening 44 can largely prevent the used sticks 43 from accidentally falling out of the receiving space 41 again. The carton of pack 10 prevents any possible warming from the sticks 43 from being felt.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the receiving space 41 is dimensioned in such a way that it can receive all the sticks 43 contained in the pack 10 after use.

It goes without saying that, based on the exemplary embodiment described, numerous variants are conceivable. For example, the contents of the pack 21 can be arranged on the front wall 18 of the box part 11 and the collar 13 behind it. It is also conceivable that the collar 13 is arranged parallel to the narrow side walls 15 instead of parallel to the front wall 18 or rear wall 23. The position of the receiving space 41 can be adjusted accordingly. It is also conceivable that the receiving space 41 is formed either only below or in front of or behind the pack contents 21 . The combination of both variants (both below and in front of or behind the pack contents 21) is preferred.

Furthermore, it goes without saying that the pack 10 is not only suitable for heat-not-burn sticks 43, but also for other products of the cigarette industry.
