Abstract

A hinge-lid box for cigarettes having a box part (10) and a lid (11) is provided with a linear articulation means for the lid (11) in the region of a narrow side wall. A bottom wall (16) and an end wall (21) comprise in each case a folding tab having connecting tabs (38, 39) which are attached to said folding tab which is connected firstly to the inner side of a front wall (12) of the box part (10) and secondly to a lid front wall (17). In addition, an outer covering tab (49) which is connected to the lid front wall (17) can be attached in the region of the end wall (21).

The invention relates to a folding box with box part and lid and preferably with a collar for a particular cigarette block, consisting of a blank with adjacent areas for a first side wall, a front wall, a second side wall, a rear wall and an inner side lobe of the first side wall with lid Side flaps, as well as with folding flaps for forming an end wall and a bottom wall, wherein folding flaps for front wall and bottom wall are attached to a rear wall of the box part and the lid rear wall opposite to each other, wherein on the lid front wall, a cover flap is attached, which is the end wall on the outside preferably covers the entire surface and is connected to this, according to the preamble of claim 1.

The invention has for its object to provide a folding box with arranged in particular in the region of a side wall line joint for the lid, which consists of a simpler, packaging technically easy-to-use blank.

In order to achieve this object, the folding box according to the invention is characterized in that the lid side flap and an adjacent area of the side flap have a cutout and that a supplementary flap attached to the cover flap bears against the inside of the lid side wall, specifically in the area of the cutout.

The present packs are folding boxes for cigarettes. In its basic construction, the folding box consists of a lower box part 10 and a lid 11. The box part 10 consists of a large front wall 12, an opposite corresponding rear wall 13, two narrow, upright side walls 14, 15 and a bottom wall 16. Accordingly the lid 11 from the walls of the box part 10 complementary lid front wall 17, lid rear wall 18, cover side walls 19, 20 and an end wall 21. The lid 11 is pivotally connected to the box part 10 in the region of one of the side walls 14, 19 via a transversely directed line joint 22. A closing edge 23 formed between the box part 10 and the lid 11 is curved with a rising edge guide to the side wall 14, 19. The lid side wall 20 opposite the line joint 22 therefore has a greater height than the opposite lid joint. Side wall 19.

Within the box part 10, a collar 24 is arranged. This consists of a separate blank ( Fig. 2 ) to form collar front wall 25, opposite collar rear wall 26 and collar side walls 27, 28. The blank for the folding box is according to Fig. 1 formed in a special way, namely according to the principle of transverse folding. Within the blank are therefore adjacent to each other areas for an outer side flap 32 with lid side tabs 33, the front wall 12 with lid front wall 17, the side wall 15 with lid side wall 20, the rear wall 13 with lid rear wall 18 and an inner side flap 34 with also inside lid side flap 35 defined successively within the blank.

In the region of the rear wall 13 and the lid rear wall 18 folding flaps for the bottom wall 16 and the end wall 21 are arranged. These extend over the full width of the rear wall 13, 18. A arranged in the rear wall 13 folding tabs 37 forms the (single-layer) bottom wall 16 and then a connecting tab 38. In an analogous manner, an end-side folding tabs 36 is formed, namely with a range for the (single-layer) end wall 21 and a subsequent connecting tab 39. At the side wall 15 includes in the region of the bottom a corner tabs 40 and opposite in the region of the lid side wall 20 a corresponding corner tabs 41 at. The line joint 22 is formed in the region of the double-layered side wall 14, 19, namely as a delimitation between the side tabs 32 on the one hand and the lid side tabs 33 on the other hand and between the side tabs 34 on the one hand and the lid side tabs 35 on the other. The line joint 22 is preferably preformed by a corresponding stamping line. In the region of the front walls 12, 17 and rear walls 13, 18 and the side wall 15, 20 box part 10 and lid 11 are separated by a transverse punching line 44. This is interrupted by residual compounds 45 and forms the closing edge 23. Preferably, two residual compounds 45 in the region of the front wall 12, 17 on the one hand and in the region of the rear wall 13, 18 on the other hand arranged approximately at equal intervals of packing edges. In the region of the side wall 15, 20, the punching line 44 is continuously without interruption.

The collar 24 is in particular relative position on the inside of the blank according to Fig. 1 positioned (dash-dotted line), namely such that fold lines 46 are congruent to limit the collar walls with fold lines 47 of the blank. The edge-side collar side wall 28 is positioned in the region of the inner side flaps 34, 35 of the blank.

The blank according to Fig. 1 surrounds the contents of the package - cigarette block 30 - according to the Querfaltprinzip. The side wall 15 and 20 in the region of an opening side of the lid 11 is formed in one layer. Opposite, in the region of the line joint 22, the side wall 14 is formed double-layered, namely from the inner side tabs 34, 35 and the outer side tabs 32, 33. These side tabs are interconnected by gluing or the like.

A special feature results in the area of the bottom wall 16 and / or end wall 21. The box shape is created by the bottom wall 16 on the one hand and the end wall 21 on the other hand via the connecting tabs 38, 39 on the inside of the front wall 12 (bottom side) and lid front wall 17 (frontally) are fixed, in particular by gluing. The connecting tabs 38, 39 are folded transversely to the bottom wall 16 and end wall 21, respectively. These connections create a dimensionally stable folding box. In addition, the corner tabs 40, 41, 42, 43 are connected on the inside with the bottom wall 16 and with the end wall 21 also by gluing. The end-side connecting tab 39 is provided with a peripheral recess 48 to form a contoured edge of the connecting tab 39, adjusting the contour of the collar 24, namely the collar edge 29 in a line joint 22 facing area. The front-side connecting tabs 38, 39 lie flush with the collar front wall 25 (FIG. Fig. 6 ), so that over the entire height distributed contact surfaces for the cigarette block 30 are formed. In the area of the side wall 15, 20 that is important for the optics, only one visible edge results at the front side through a transverse edge of the end wall 21.

The embodiment according to Fig. 8 to Fig. 13 contains changes and improvements over the previous embodiment. Matching walls of the Pack or blank are marked accordingly. An important feature is the arrangement of a folding flap, namely an outer cover flap 49 on the lid front wall 17. The area of the end wall 21 and the region of the bottom wall 16 are constructed in principle as in the previous embodiment. The cover flap 49 is finally folded as an outer layer on the end wall 21, such that it is completely covered by the cover flap 49. On the one hand, this results in a higher dimensional stability in the region of the lid 11. In particular, however, a visible edge in the region of the front side of the pack, namely in the region of an upper, transversely directed pack edge 50, is avoided.

Another deviation is the design of the end wall 21 and the connecting tab 39. The recess 48 is formed so that the connecting tabs 39 extends only over part of the corresponding dimension of the end wall 21. In the area of the (inner) lid side flap 35 no corner tab is provided. Instead, the blank in this area has a contoured cutout 51 which extends into the side tabs 34. The lid side flap 35 is formed as a reduced triangular gusset. In this embodiment, however, can be dispensed with the connecting tab 39, because a stable construction in the region of the end wall of the lid due to the two-ply design (end wall 21, cover flap 49) results.

On the cover flap 49, a supplementary flap 52 is attached laterally, which extends in the finished package over corner in the region of the side wall 14 and lid side wall 19. The supplementary flap 52 is provided with a contour which is matched to the shape of the cutout 51 so that the folded supplementary flap 52 fits snugly into the cutout 51 formed by the side flaps 34, 35 ( Fig. 10 ). The supplementary flap 52 extends into the region of the side wall 14 and extends completely in the plane of the side flaps 34, 35. Outside, therefore, the supplementary flap 52 is completely covered by the side flaps 32, 33. The supplementary tab 52 has a transversely directed marking 53, in particular in the embodiment as a scratching or punching of the material. The marking 53 extends exactly in the region of the line joint 22.

The attached to the lid side wall 20 Ecklappen 41 is adjacent to the cover flap 49 is provided with a widening 54. This acts as a support for the connecting tab 39 of the end wall 21 (FIG. Fig. 10 ).

The collar 24 is formed in this embodiment in the same or similar manner as in the previous example. This also applies to the arrangement of the collar 24 on the package blank.

During the production of the pack, it is expedient to proceed so that the package blank and the collar 24 are folded as a unit around the cigarette block 30, wherein preferably the collar 24 is adhesively bonded to the package blank. In a special way, an inner wrapper for the package contents, namely the inner blank 31 for the cigarette group to be wrapped is formed and folded. In the region of an end face 55 of the cigarette block 30, a front flap 56 is formed by corresponding folding, which rests on the outside of the end face 55 of the inner blank 31 and can therefore be grasped by hand. The flap 61 is associated with a flap 57, ie a part of the inner blank 31 defined by lines of weakness, in particular by perforation lines 58, 59. The flap 57 can be separated by grasping and pulling up the end flap 56, so that upper ends of the cigarettes are exposed for removal ,

Embodiments for the design and folding of the inner blank 31 are shown in FIG FIGS. 14 and 15 shown. The inner blanks 31 (made of paper, Stanniol or the like) are formed according to the Längsfaltprinzip. Starting from a bottom surface 60, the blank U-shaped folded around the cigarette group to form mutually partially overlapping side surfaces and to form the end face 55 from each other also partially overlapping end tabs 61 and 62. The folding of the inner blank 31 in the region of the end face 55 is formed so that at least in a region opposite the cover joint 22, ie on the side facing the lid side wall 20, the end flap formed by folding the inner blank 31 is outside and therefore can be detected by hand. This front flap 56 is formed by folding the front flaps 61, 62 and peripheral edge tabs 63, 64. In this case, the procedure is such that in a first folding step the end tabs 61, 62 are folded against the package contents and then the corner tabs 63, 64 against the already folded end tabs 61, 62. This results in the outer end flap 56, which opens up the possibility of the flap 57 due to the assignment to the perforations 58, 59. On the opposite side to the front flap 56, namely in the region of the line joint 22, the fold can be formed in the same way or - as exemplarily in Fig. 4 . Fig. 11 shown in such a way that first the corner tabs 63, 64 against the contents of the package and then the end tabs 61, 62 are folded.

The flap 57 may be formed differently due to the corresponding arrangement or design of the perforation lines 58, 59. According to Fig. 14 two "over corner" arranged legs for each perforation 58, 59 are provided. These result together, namely in the folded blank, a corner or edge flap 57, as in Fig. 4 . Claims (10)

1. Hinge-lid box having a box part (10) and a lid (11) and preferably a collar (12) in particular for a cigarette block, said hinge-lid box consisting of a blank with regions placed side by side for a first side wall, a front wall, a second side wall, a rear wall and an inner side tab (34) of the first side wall with a lid side tab (35), and with folding tabs for forming an end wall and a bottom wall, wherein the folding tabs (36, 37) for the end wall (21) and the bottom wall (16) arc arranged located opposite each other on a rear wall (13) of the box part (10) and on the lid rear wall (18), wherein a lid tab (49) is arranged on the lid front wall (17), said lid tab preferably completely covering the end wall (21) on the outer side and being connected to said end wall, characterized in that the lid side tab (35) and an adjoining region of the side tab (34) have a cutout (51) and in that a supplementary tab (52) arranged on the lid tab (49) abuts against the inner side of the lid side wall (19) in the region of the cutout (51).

Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1, characterized in that the bottom wall (16) and/or the end wall (21) are connected by way of edge-side connecting tabs (38, 39) in each case to the inner side of the (box) front wall (12) or of the lid front wall (17), in particular by means of adhesive bonding.

Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or to one of the further claims, characterized in that corner tabs (40, 42) arc arranged at least in the region of the bottom wall (16) on the side wall (15) of the box part (10) and on a side tab (34) as part of the side wall (14), said corner tabs abutting against the inner side of the bottom wall (16) and being connected thereto.

Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or to one of the further claims, characterized in that corner tabs (41, 43) are arranged on the lid side wall (20) and on an inside lid side tab (35) of the lid side wall (19), said corner tabs abutting against the inner side of the end wall (21) and preferably being connected thereto.
5. Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or to one of the further claims, characterized in that the folded supplementary tab (52) lies completely in the plane of the inner side tab (34) or of the lid side tab (35) and is covered on the outer side by the outer side tab (32) or the lid side tab (33).
6. Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or to one of the further claims, characterized in that the folded supplementary tab (52) is covered on the inside at least in part by the collar (24), in particular by an edge-side collar side wall.
7. Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or to one of the further claims, characterized in that the supplementary tab (52) has a transversely directed marking (53), in particular a scoring or stamping, in the plane of the line hinge joint (22).
