Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device and a method for cleaning drinking containers.
  • Such devices have long been known from the prior art and are used, for example, at festivals, fairs and the like. It is known, for example, that a container to be cleaned is turned over onto a washing body and is thus washed. Often, however, the problem arises with devices of this type that the rinsing process is either relatively complex or that the vessels are not yet sufficiently cleaned.
  • the German Offenlegungsschrift DE 10 2006 017 407 A1 discloses an apparatus and method for handling bottles, containers or the like. It is provided that the containers are pretreated in a pre-cleaning machine in order to remove labels from the containers before they are treated with a heated liquid treatment medium in a main treatment phase.
  • the treatment zones include a device-internal conveyor on which the bottles are moved through the treatment zones in an upright position, the conveyor forming a transport path.
  • Two clamping jaw conveyors are provided on both sides of the transport path, each of which is formed by two endlessly rotating belts or belts which laterally delimit the transport path and rest against the side of the bottles.
  • the belts of the two clamping jaw conveyors are preferably driven at different speeds in order to rotate the bottles around their vertical bottle axis as they pass the transport path. Furthermore, nozzle heads are arranged above and to the side of the transport path in order to apply a treatment medium to the bottles.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device and a method which enable the containers to be cleaned to be cleaned more efficiently.
  • these containers it can in particular, but not exclusively to be beer mugs, wine glasses, coffee cups, mulled wine cups and the like.
  • a device according to the invention for cleaning drinking containers has a transport device which transports the drinking containers along a predetermined transport path. Furthermore, the device has a first cleaning device which applies a first flowable (cleaning) medium to the drinking containers in order to clean them.
  • the device has a second cleaning device, which is arranged in the transport direction of the drinking containers after the first cleaning device and which acts on the drinking containers with a flowable medium in order to clean them.
  • the device has at least one rotating device which rotates the drinking containers during transport and in particular also during their cleaning with respect to a longitudinal direction of the drinking containers relative to at least one cleaning device.
  • the cleaning device transports the beverage containers, but, on the other hand, also enable a relative rotation between the containers and at least one cleaning device.
  • the longitudinal direction of the container is understood to mean a direction which, in particular, is perpendicular to a base of the container. In the case of an upright container, this is a vertical direction.
  • At least one cleaning device has an application device which applies the flowable medium to an area of the drinking container, in particular an area of the inner wall of the container and / or an area of the outer wall of the container, but also possibly the edges of the container.
  • an application device which applies the flowable medium to an area of the drinking container, in particular an area of the inner wall of the container and / or an area of the outer wall of the container, but also possibly the edges of the container.
  • Containers of this type have traces of dirt such as lipstick traces or the like, which are often difficult to clean in the prior art.
  • the rotating device advantageously rotates the container itself with respect to its longitudinal axis.
  • a rotating device could be provided which instead rotates the cleaning device.
  • the cleaning device could have nozzle elements which are arranged on a rotatable carrier. Several nozzles could be arranged on a rotating carrier. Several such nozzle carriers could also be provided.
  • the cleaning device could also have one or more spray heads which emit a cleaning medium in different directions or which in turn have rotatable spray heads.
  • the cleaning device could have an element which can also be moved in a longitudinal direction of the drinking containers to be cleaned.
  • a cleaning head could also be introduced into an interior space of the container or also be guided along an outer surface of the drinking container to be cleaned.
  • the first cleaning medium and the second cleaning medium advantageously differ in at least one property. It would be possible that these are physically or chemically different media. However, it would also be conceivable that the cleaning media differ by a further physical property, such as a temperature. For example, it would be possible to first wash the containers with a warm liquid, then wash them with a cold liquid and, if necessary, rinse them further with a clear liquid.
  • the transport path is a linear transport path, ie the containers to be cleaned are transported along a straight direction.
  • the transport path it would also be possible for the transport path to be a circular or circular segment-shaped transport path and so the cleaning device is designed, for example, as a rotary machine.
  • the device advantageously has a housing which surrounds this transport path at least in sections.
  • elements of the cleaning devices can also be arranged in this housing.
  • the device also has a reservoir for a cleaning medium, such as, for example, for waste water.
  • a cleaning medium such as, for example, for waste water.
  • filter elements can be provided which are used to clean the cleaning medium, such as, for example, rinsing water.
  • one or more circuits are provided for cleaning media.
  • the device also has a processing device for the cleaning media, such as, for example, a processing device for rinsing water and the like.
  • the device has a heating device for heating at least one flowable medium.
  • a heating rod or the like can be provided.
  • the device can also be operated independently of a hot water connection.
  • the device has at least one pump device for conveying at least one flowable medium.
  • the device is preferably designed to be movable, for example arranged on wheels, so that it can also be used in a mobile manner.
  • the device described here can also be used for other products, for example motor vehicle parts and the like, which should preferably also be rotated during a cleaning process.
  • the transport device has a first side guide means and a second side guide means and the drinking container is arranged between the first side guide means and the second side guide means during transport.
  • the lateral guide means prefferably be circumferential conveyor belts which hold the drinking container to be cleaned between them and transport it in this way.
  • the container is thus advantageously gripped on an outer circumference.
  • the lateral guide means preferably has a width which is less than a longitudinal extension of the container to be cleaned. This width of at least one lateral guide means and preferably both lateral guide means is preferably also less than half the length of the container to be cleaned.
  • the lateral guide means grip the container in a suspended manner, in particular in an inverted position and thereby preferably above the handle element (i.e. would grip below the handle when the container is normally standing on a table). In this way, even when the handle is rotated, it does not interfere with this rotation of the container.
  • the transport device is preferably designed in such a way that it transports the containers in an inclined position, i.e. an inclined position compared to a conventional (in particular horizontal) standing position.
  • a bottom of the containers can be inclined during this transport (with respect to a horizontal plane) at an angle of between 2 ° and 50 °, preferably between 5 ° and 45 °, preferably between 10 ° and 40 ° and particularly preferably between 10 ° ° and 30 °.
  • Such an inclination can facilitate the drainage of cleaning media and / or dirt.
  • the two mentioned lateral guide means are also arranged obliquely and / or are offset from one another in the vertical direction.
  • a storage surface is arranged in front of the lateral guide means or in front of the transport device, on which the drinking container to be cleaned can be arranged.
  • the lateral guide means preferably have drive means such as electric motors.
  • the device has a dividing device which is placed between the drinking containers to be cleaned, in particular during the Cleaning process generated a predetermined distance.
  • dividing means can be, for example, dividing screws which generate a setpoint distance between the containers.
  • the transport device itself to be operated clocked and in this way to ensure that the containers to be cleaned are transported through the device at defined intervals.
  • the device could have an inlet rail or a stowage section in which the drinking containers are initially fed in piece by piece, in order then to be subsequently separated by the transport device and in particular transported at a predetermined distance from one another.
  • the lateral guide means mentioned above can be driven at different speeds in the transport direction of the containers. As a result of these different speeds or the resulting relative speed, a rotation of the containers can also be achieved.
  • the transport device advantageously transports the containers at a defined distance from one another. It is thus possible for a first drinking container to be located in the area of a first cleaning device and a subsequent or preceding drinking container in the area of a second cleaning device. In this way, in particular, clocked operation is also possible, in which the containers are clocked transported from one cleaning station to the next cleaning station. Furthermore, it would also be possible that the lateral guide means can also be driven in opposite directions. It would thus be possible for the containers to be rotated by the lateral guide means, but not to be transported in the transport direction during this rotation.
  • a lateral guide means prefferably be at least temporarily, but possibly also completely, or to be arranged in a stationary manner. In this case, both a transport of the container and a rotation of this container are achieved by the movement of the other lateral guide means.
  • the transport device enables the containers to be transported in a clocked manner. As mentioned above, in this way a drinking container can be transported from a first cleaning device to a second cleaning device and cleaned in each case in the area of this cleaning device.
  • the cleaning devices could have brush elements and the like, which can in particular be introduced into an interior of the drinking containers.
  • At least one cleaning device is suitable and intended to act on the containers with a flowable medium which has a temperature of at most -10 degrees Celsius.
  • This cleaning device is advantageously at least the second, preferably the last cleaning device in the transport direction of the containers, which the container to be cleaned passes through.
  • Another advantage of this configuration is that the containers are not only cleaned but also cooled, which is of great advantage especially when used, for example, at public festivals in the summer, since the drink, for example beer, that is filled again into these containers is then easier can be cooled.
  • a cleaning device which is arranged upstream and in particular immediately upstream of the cleaning device, which acts on the containers with the medium at most -10 degrees cold, advantageously acts on the containers with a cooled medium, for example with cool water. In this way can be achieved be that the temperature gradient between these two flowable media is not too high, and therefore the risk of the material of the drinking receptacles cracking can be avoided or reduced.
  • the suitability of the cleaning device for subjecting the containers to a correspondingly cold medium is understood to mean that especially those donor organs, such as nozzles and the like, are designed with regard to their material selection in such a way that they also allow exposure to a very cold medium.
  • Said cleaning device advantageously allows the containers to be exposed to a medium which is less than -10 ° C., preferably less than -20 ° C., preferably less than -30 ° C., preferably less than -40 ° C., preferably less than -50 ° C, and particularly preferably less than -60 ° C.
  • This medium is advantageously a gaseous or vaporous medium, and it is particularly preferably dry ice.
  • the containers to be cleaned are advantageously exposed to at least three flowable media, particularly preferably at least water of a first temperature, water of a second temperature deviating from the first temperature and said flowable medium which has a temperature of less than -10 ° C .
  • the device has a third cleaning device which acts on the drinking containers with a third flowable cleaning medium in order to clean them.
  • the device also has a drying device for cleaning the containers.
  • a drying device for cleaning the containers. This can be, for example, air drying.
  • the transport device transports the containers along a straight transport path.
  • the transport device advantageously also transports the containers along a horizontal transport path.
  • At least one cleaning element of at least one cleaning device is arranged below the container to be cleaned during the cleaning process.
  • the containers to be cleaned be conveyed above the respective cleaning devices and in particular above the cleaning nozzles.
  • the containers are preferably transported upside down.
  • the drinking containers are advantageously containers which have a mouth or an upper peripheral edge, the cross section of which is not significantly smaller than an adjoining base body of the drinking containers.
  • the drinking containers for example, can preferably have an essentially cylindrical internal cross section.
  • cleaning elements it would also be possible for cleaning elements to be arranged both below the drinking containers or their transport path, and for example to the side thereof.
  • the drinking container it is possible for the drinking container to be cleaned to be cleaned both inside and outside. Furthermore, it is preferably also possible for individual cleaning elements to be aligned with an edge of the containers, since considerable soiling (for example from lipsticks) can often occur here during use.
  • the present invention is further directed to a method for washing drinking containers, wherein the drinking containers are transported along a predetermined transport path and the drinking containers are subjected to their cleaning by means of a first cleaning device with a first flowable medium and by means of a particularly subsequent second cleaning device with a second flowable medium are applied.
  • the drinking containers are rotated at least temporarily during the cleaning process relative to at least one cleaning device with respect to their longitudinal direction.
  • the containers and / or the cleaning device
  • the containers should be rotated during cleaning. is made. In this way it is in turn possible to completely clean the walls of the drinking containers.
  • the drinking containers are selected from a group of drinking containers which contains beer mugs, wine glasses, beer glasses, coffee cups, mulled wine cups and the like.
  • the drinking containers are drinking containers which have a handle or a handle.
  • the drinking containers are advantageously gripped on a section which lies in the longitudinal direction of the drinking containers between the grip element and a base of the container.
  • said handle or grip element of the container can also be cleaned during cleaning.
  • the drinking containers are advantageously transported cyclically during the cleaning process, d. H. the transport of the containers is interrupted at least once, in particular in order to carry out a cleaning process on the container while the container is at a standstill.
  • a standstill of the container is primarily understood to mean a standstill in the transport direction, which means that the container can still be rotated about its longitudinal axis, even if it stands still in the transport direction or essentially stands still. In other words, during the cleaning process of the container, the container is only rotated about its longitudinal direction, but not at the same time moved or transported in the direction of transport.
  • the container is acted upon with a flowable medium which has a temperature of less than -10 ° C.
  • the container is preferably exposed to at least two different flowable media, which have a temperature difference of at least 20 °, preferably of at least 40 °, preferably of at least 50 ° and particularly preferably of at least 60 ° and particularly preferably of at least 80 °.
  • the drinking containers are transported singly by the transport device. This means that between the drinking containers a predetermined distance lies. This distance between the drinking containers is advantageously between 10 cm and 80 cm, preferably between 20 cm and 60 cm and particularly preferably between 30 cm and 50 cm. In a further preferred method, the containers are gripped on a peripheral wall of the drinking containers during their transport.
  • Figure 1 shows a side view of a device 1 for cleaning beverage containers 10. These beverage containers 10 can be supplied by a user 20 and then conveyed through the device 1 along the transport path P via a transport device 2, which is only partially shown here.
  • the device 1 has a first cleaning device 4, a second cleaning device 6, a third cleaning device 14 and a fourth cleaning device 16.
  • a warm liquid for example warm water
  • An application takes place through the second cleaning device 6 with cold water.
  • the cleaning device 14 rinses with fresh water.
  • the cleaning device 16 can also apply a cold medium, for example dry ice and / or compressed air. In this way, the fourth cleaning device can also dry the containers.
  • the reference number 54 denotes a storage surface on which the user can place a drinking container in order to supply it to the cleaning device 1. It would be possible here for this storage surface to be inclined in such a way that the drinking container is fed to the cleaning process by the action of gravity.
  • the reference numeral 30 relates to a housing of the device 1, in which, in particular, the individual circuits or the loading devices are also arranged.
  • This housing can be opened, for example, by means of a cover 34, so that the user 20 has access to the device 1 and, for example, can also intervene in the event of a fault.
  • These cleaning devices 4, 6, 14 and 16 preferably each have application devices such as nozzles which apply the cleaning media to the containers 10.
  • the reference number 8 roughly schematically denotes a rotating device which causes the containers 10 to rotate about their respective longitudinal axis L. As explained in detail below, the rotation can be achieved by different drive speeds of two lateral guide belts. However, these lateral guide belts are also part of the transport device 2 here.
  • the reference numeral 32 relates to a first pump device which is used to convey, for example, hot water for the corresponding hot water cleaning.
  • the reference number 34 denotes a second pump device which is used to convey cold water.
  • the reference numerals 26 and 28 identify drive devices which, for example, drive the lateral guide belts for transporting the containers 10.
  • Figure 2 shows a side view of the in Figure 1 device shown.
  • the shelf 54 on which the container 10 can be placed can be seen here again.
  • This shelf is here at an angle with respect to a horizontal plane, that is to say that the container 10 is placed at an angle on the device. As mentioned, this incline makes it easier for media to drain off.
  • the reference number 26 in turn denotes the drive for the two side guide belts 22 and 24.
  • the reference number 52 denotes a level switch which can, for example, detect a liquid level of the device. For example, it can be determined whether there is still enough liquid in the reservoir for the cleaning media.
  • light barrier switches can be provided in the initial area of the device, which detect the presence of a container, and this container can then be transported into the device accordingly.
  • the reference symbol S schematically denotes the impact areas or liquid jets with which the containers 10 are acted upon.
  • Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the in Figure 1 shown device along the line AA.
  • the two side guide belts 22 and 24 are also provided, which are designed here as circumferential conveyor belts and which grip the containers 10 on the outer circumference in order to convey them.
  • Reference numeral 58 denotes a filter device, in particular a coarse filter, which is suitable for filtering out coarse dirt particles (e.g. particles falling out of the containers). Accordingly, these dirt particles should not get into a liquid cycle.
  • the reference number 36 denotes a stop device which can be activated in each case in order to generate the clocked transport of the containers or a transport with a predetermined distance between the containers.
  • Reference numeral 56 denotes a heating device such as a heating rod, for example, which is used to heat the hot water. In this way, as mentioned above, the machine can also be operated independently of hot water connections.
  • the device in a further embodiment, it would also be possible for the device to have liquid reservoirs so that it can also be operated completely (if a power connection is present) for a certain time. This can be useful, for example, when applied to folk festivals and the like.
  • the device can also have an outlet for waste water.
  • the device could also have a reservoir for dry ice in order to apply dry ice to the containers for cleaning but also for cooling them.
  • This reservoir can preferably be isolated from an environment.
  • FIG. 11 shows a top view of the FIG Figure 1 device shown. Opening devices 62, 64 can also be seen here in order to open the device for cleaning purposes, for example.
  • the four cleaning devices 4, 6, 14 and 16 are again provided. As mentioned above, these can clean the containers 10 circumferentially, but in particular also from the inside.
  • the two lateral guide devices 22 and 24 take the containers between them and thus convey them through the device 1.
  • the reference numeral 72 denotes a device for fresh water rinsing. It is possible that fresh water is supplied via a connection.
  • rod-like bodies 76 within the housing between the two lateral guide devices 22 and 24, which extend parallel to the transport travel P of the containers 10.
  • These rod-like bodies 76 which are also shown in Figure 5 shown can serve, for example, to hold containers if they are not properly gripped by the lateral guide devices 22 and 24.
  • these rod-like bodies can themselves also be hollow or have outlet openings through which a cleaning medium can exit and thus in particular act on the containers 10 from below.
