Definitions
- the invention relates to a multifunctional toilet arrangement with an actuating device, a flushing device comprising a concealed cistern and which can be actuated by means of the actuating device, a toilet body with a flushing rim, a flushing water inlet connected to the flushing device, a waste water outlet, a wall, a cover wall and at least one further functional element, wherein in addition the flushing device for the operation of the at least one functional element required technical elements are arranged in the wall behind the toilet body and an opening is provided in the wall behind the toilet body, which can be closed via the cover wall that can be detachably fastened in front of the wall.
- the functional element can be, for example, a bidet, which is often also referred to as a toilet shower.
- a toilet shower This usually includes a swiveling shower arm that can be connected to a boiler. The water heated by the boiler can be fed into the shower arm by means of a pump.
- Other functional elements can be a hair dryer, the air temperature of which can usually be regulated, or an odor extraction system, with which bad air can be sucked directly out of the toilet body.
- EP 1 317 586 an arrangement is known in which the technical elements such. B. operating units and control technology, are arranged below and on the toilet body itself around. The toilet body is therefore quite bulky and cannot be used in every installation situation.
- a toilet arrangement with a height-adjustable toilet body is known, with the toilet body being arranged in a wall opening with a vertical extension to enable the height adjustability and a cover plate being provided with which the opening can be covered in any vertical position of the toilet body, and the cistern and others pieces of equipment cannot be visibly arranged behind the wall.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of at least partially avoiding the disadvantages mentioned in the prior art and of further developing a toilet arrangement of the known type so that it can be better maintained and expanded without great effort, so that individual functional elements can be retrofitted modularly as required without time-consuming dismantling.
- the opening is designed as an inspection opening, which allows easy access for maintenance and retrofitting of the technical elements required for the operation of the at least one other functional element and which extends at least from the upper edge of the toilet body to the Actuating device extends, which is integrated in the cover wall.
- the technical elements are often arranged in a pre-wall arranged behind the toilet body, which has a mounting profile arranged at a distance from the on-site wall with an enclosing Wall and a tiled mirror arranged thereon includes.
- This front wall then has the inspection opening through which the flushing device and the additional elements are accessible and which can be closed by a cover wall.
- the technical elements for the operation of the at least one additional element are now arranged in the front wall or in a recess in a wall and are thus "pulled out of the area of the toilet body to the rear". This makes it possible to keep the toilet body particularly filigree and small. Actually, this only has to include the actual toilet body, which is often also referred to as "ceramic".
- the covering wall allows particularly good access to the technical elements arranged in the wall or front wall, such as e.g. B. the cistern, the operating units, the control technology, etc.
- This enables a new type of performance through the coordination of the technical elements arranged behind the toilet body, e.g. B. the flushing technology and the toilet elements.
- the considerably larger inspection opening than in the prior art which can have dimensions of 80 cm ⁇ 30 cm, for example, facilitates access for maintenance of the units and also simplifies retrofitting of the units. All you have to do is remove the cover panel from the inspection opening.
- the design according to the invention also offers the advantage that electricity and lines do not have to be provided in or on the toilet body, as in the prior art, but only within the technical area behind the toilet body. This significantly reduces the installation and retrofitting effort.
- the design according to the invention makes it possible to provide the retraction area for retracting the feed elements behind the wall or curtain wall. A significant reduction in the required installation space is thus possible and a more filigree design of the toilet body can thus be implemented.
- the actuating device for the flushing device is integrated in the cover wall.
- the actuation device can be mechanical keys or electronic sensors, which can also be actuated without contact.
- a particularly elegant solution includes sensors embedded in the cover wall, which also include proximity sensors for illuminating the button in the cover wall, which is preferably designed as a glass plate.
- control device and the operating device for the functional elements are preferably also arranged in the front wall area or the recess behind the toilet body.
- the toilet body is preferably designed to be adjustable in height in order to adapt it optimally for different users.
- the toilet body is usually between a low seat height, for example, for children at a height of 40 cm at the top edge of the toilet body through an adjustment of 45 cm, in the standard seat height, adjustable up to a height of 60 cm in the top seat height, which is used in particular for the elderly, which is also related can be done with a stand-up aid.
- the adjustment can take place either in predefined steps or continuously, and the control technology can include a memory function for storing different seat heights for different users.
- the waste water pipe should also be designed to be flexible and the overall construction should be designed in such a way that the height adjustment can also be operated under load.
- the adjusting means for the height adjustment can also be adjusted manually.
- these include an automatically operable drive unit for adjusting the seat height, which can be done, for example, via a linear motor, electrically or hydraulically.
- the inventively large and uninterrupted inspection opening in the front wall or wall behind the toilet body allows easy access to the technical elements for their maintenance and retrofitting.
- This inspection opening can B. have a size of 80 cm x 30 cm without intermediate struts.
- This inspection opening is covered by the cover panel according to the invention, which can be designed as desired.
- this z. B. include a glass plate on a mounting frame.
- the outer dimension of the glass plate is preferably slightly larger than the mounting frame, so that it is set back with a shoulder. This creates a particularly aesthetic and filigree impression.
- a further innovation of the invention lies in the design of a separately attachable flushing rim, which can also function as a toilet liner.
- the waterway can be designed as required by different water supply channels on the inside of the flushing rim and, on the other hand, the external appearance of the toilet body can be redesigned in an impressively simple way.
- the flushing rim is designed on the outside as an apron that overlaps the upper side of the toilet body at least laterally and at the front, the upper edge of the toilet body can be concealed to a large extent. It is thus also particularly easy to retrofit or redesign existing, simple lavatory bodies according to the invention and to cover the connecting elements thanks to the attachable flushing rim.
- the rinsing rim can have a recess, penetration or opening for the passage of one or more of the feed elements according to the invention.
- this can include an integrated flushing water distributor in the manner of a watershed.
- the flushing rim which can be attached separately, could also be described as a new type of toilet cladding with an optional integrated water channel. Consequently, the toilet trim need not necessarily contain the water conduit.
- the solution according to the invention is not limited to use on a pre-wall with a mounting profile and a backsplash arranged on it enclosing the interior of the pre-wall, but can also be used in conjunction with a regular wall with a recess provided therein to accommodate the flushing device designed as a concealed cistern and the technical elements for operating the at least one further functional element, without departing from the scope of the invention.
- the cover wall is arranged in front of the inspection opening, which is preferably continuous, in the wall behind the toilet body, and this wall can be designed as a brick wall or pre-wall, and thus covers it continuously.
- the preferred embodiment includes a mounting frame placed or stretched in front of the wall, on the front side of which the cover wall is fastened.
- This mounting frame is preferably designed to be as flat as possible, so that the cover wall stands out from the wall as little as possible or is even integrated into it. In order to reduce the depth, the mounting frame can also be partially embedded in the wall or in the inspection opening, so that the covering wall rests almost flat on the wall and slides down on it.
- the mounting frame is preferably connected to the toilet body.
- the cover wall can z. B.
- the cover plates preferably protrude slightly over the outer edge of the mounting frame, which is preferably circumferential, in order to form a filigree-looking shadow gap.
- the cover plates can be removed individually or together for inspection to open the inspection opening. When removed, the entire opening of the inspection opening is available for processing and installation and is therefore not limited to the tight installation space of the button, as is the case with the prior art.
- the bottom cover plate is removable only by disassembling the toilet body.
- the flushing rim can either be closed or open with a or more interruptions can be designed to direct the flushing water flow as desired. There is no need for a backflow preventer if the water for a shower arm (shower toilet) is taken from the cistern.
- the multifunctional toilet arrangement proposed according to the invention consists essentially of a toilet body 2 made of ceramic, a flushing device arranged in a front wall 4 and a toilet panel 8 placed on the toilet body.
- the flushing device comprises a flush-mounted cistern 10 which is arranged in the pre-wall 4 and which is connected via a flushing pipe 12 to the rear flushing-water inlet of the toilet body 2 .
- the flushing water flowing into the toilet body 2 via the flushing pipe 12 when flushing is distributed in a known manner around the inside of the toilet body 2 via the flushing channel formed between the toilet body 2 and by a flushing rim to carry out the flushing.
- Different configurations of the rinsing channel 14 on the cladding 8 allow different rinsing properties or flow properties of the inflowing rinsing water to be implemented. After rinsing, the rinsing water runs back into the sewage system via a waste water outlet.
- the toilet body 2 also includes at its lower end a siphon filled with flushing water for odor blocking.
- the multifunctional toilet arrangement comprises a plurality of control buttons 20 arranged separately via control buttons 20 on a covering wall 18. In the present embodiment, a total of six different control buttons 20 are provided.
- the depth of the electronic control embedded in the wall or front wall is preferably designed to be so small that it can move the glass plate in front of the wall vertically.
- Feed elements in the form of feed pipes 22, 24 are provided between the back of the toilet body 2 and the inside of the front panel, via which the technical elements required for the operation of the functional elements in the front panel can be connected to the toilet body and/or in which the functional elements also can be arranged.
- the functional elements include a shower arm 26 and a hair dryer, not shown, which can each be activated by pressing the corresponding control buttons 20 , causing them to telescopically move out of the supply pipes 22 , 24 into the interior of the toilet body 2 .
- the control is carried out entirely or partially via a remote control.
- the shower arm can protrude into the toilet body at will.
- the shower arm or the hair dryer can, for example, exit below the flushing rim or also extend through the flushing rim.
- a particularly small overall depth of the toilet arrangement can thus be realized by the feed elements.
- the boiler for heating the rinsing water for the shower arm 26 and the blower for the hair dryer and any desirable air extraction device can now be installed in the cavity within the front wall area. They therefore no longer have to be arranged on the toilet body as in the prior art. Consequently, a significantly more space-saving and filigree design is possible.
- This design also allows the toilet body 2 further set back to arrange in the pretext, so that the overhang of the toilet body 2 z. B. is only 450 mm.
- a cover wall 18 is arranged in front of a continuous inspection opening 30 in the pre-wall 4 .
- this consists of a peripheral mounting frame 32 placed on the pre-wall and measuring e.g. 786 x 330 mm (HB), which is covered on the front by an upper glass plate 34 and at a distance by a lower glass plate 36.
- HB e.g. 786 x 330 mm
- the glass plates 34, 36 also protrude slightly beyond the outer edge of the peripheral mounting frame 32 and thus produce a filigree shadow gap.
- the glass plates 34, 36 can be removed for inspection to open the inspection opening 30. In the removed state, the entire opening of the inspection opening 30 is available for processing and installation and is therefore not limited to the tight installation space of the button, as is the case in the prior art . It can be seen in particular from the lateral sectional view 4 that the covering wall 18 extends slightly over the upper end of the concealed cistern 10 .
- one or more recesses are provided in the back of the toilet body 2, in which the feed pipes 22, 24 can be inserted or through which they can be performed.
- control keys 20 are arranged at the upper end on the front side of the upper glass plate 34, which in the present case are formed by capacitive touch panels and can be illuminated. They also include a proximity sensor so that the lighting is only switched on when a hand approaches and these control buttons 20 are otherwise not visible in the upper glass plate 34 or are only illuminated when approaching.
- a control technology (not shown in detail) with the necessary software for controlling toilet operation. Also not shown is one arranged approximately in the middle of the upper glass plate Electromagnet which interacts with an iron core arranged in the toilet seat 40. By activating this electromagnet, the toilet lid 40 is held in the open position and the toilet lid 40 closes by reversing the polarity, which in the preferred embodiment is dampened. With this design, no projection to the rear for the toilet lid in the open position is required.
- the toilet panel 8 which in the present case also forms the flushing rim for the toilet body.
- the toilet cover 8 in the present embodiment encloses the upper third of the toilet body 2 in the manner of an apron.
- the WC paneling 8 is essentially designed as an inverted U-profile, with the outer vertical leg 42 being more than twice as long as the inner vertical leg 44, which protrudes slightly obliquely inwards.
- the width of the outer vertical leg 42 and the inner vertical leg 44 The connecting horizontal leg 46 is designed in such a way that it encloses the upper edge of the toilet ceramic without play in the installed position in order to ensure that the toilet cover 8 sits on the toilet body 2 without play.
- the toilet seat 40 is fastened in a known manner by means of two pins with an external thread that penetrate vertically through the toilet cover 8.
- the toilet cladding also assumes the function of directing the flushing water and thus forms the flushing channel in cooperation with the toilet body 2.
- a flushing flow distributor can also be formed adjoining the rear flushing pipe be able to divide the water evenly or as needed.
- the proposed multifunctional toilet arrangement can have the functional elements individually or in any combination.
- Other functional elements are, for example, means for adjusting the seat height of the toilet body, with the height setting also being programmable.
- an odor extraction system an automatic opening device for the toilet lid, a heater, a hair dryer for drying, a deodorizing device, either individually or in combination and can be retrofitted, can be provided as functional elements.
- an occupancy sensor can be provided, which actuates the odor extraction and the functionality of the shower arm automatically a certain time after use.
- control technology can be designed in such a way that after a certain time after leaving the toilet, the lid is automatically lowered and/or flushed.
- Figures 7 to 12 show various alternative embodiments of the multifunctional toilet assembly, in which the cover walls are made wider.
- the cover wall 48 is provided next to the cover wall 48 for the toilet another cover wall 50, which covers a wider inspection opening and is also about a third wider than the cover wall 48.
- a washbasin 52 is mounted on the left cover wall 50 and is connected through the cover wall 50 to the connections behind the cover wall 50 .
- a cover wall 54 which is slightly wider than the toilet body 56.
- a shelf is mounted on the cover wall, for example for receiving 58 toilet paper.
