Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an arrangement for cutting and ejecting waste for a flat support, provided with two cylindrical tools, in a packaging production machine.
  • the invention also relates to a cutting and waste ejection cassette, comprising an arrangement for cutting and ejecting waste.
  • the invention relates to a processing unit for a flat support, equipped with a cassette for cutting and ejecting waste.
  • the invention relates to a processing unit for a plane support, comprising an arrangement for cutting and ejecting waste.
  • the invention also relates to a packaging production machine from a flat support, comprising at least one processing unit for the plane support.
  • a packaging production machine is intended for the manufacture of boxes, which form packaging, after folding and gluing.
  • an initial planar support such as a continuous strip of cardboard, is unwound and is printed by a printing unit, consisting of printing units. The strip is then transferred to a processing unit to make plate elements, in this case boxes.
  • the processing unit comprises at least one transformation arrangement provided with two rotary cylindrical tools positioned parallel to each other, so as to cooperate with each other.
  • the band moves between the two tools, to be transformed. Both tools rotate in opposite directions.
  • the first tool is rotatably mounted in a first and a second bearing.
  • the second tool is rotatably mounted in a third and a fourth bearing. Clamps are provided to firmly hold the first and third bearings, as well as the second and fourth bearings.
  • the transformation arrangement is most often provided to form a cassette.
  • the cassette is slidably inserted into each of the side frames of the unit.
  • the cassette allows a quick change of the tools, depending on the transformations of the support to be made.
  • the packaging manufacturer has at least two cassettes. A first cassette is in the machine being produced and is adapted according to the transformation work in progress. Meanwhile, a second cassette is being assembled and adjusted to be adapted function of the next transformation job. When changing the job, the operator takes out the old cassette and inserts the new cassette, minimizing machine downtime.
  • one of the arrangements or one of the cassettes is a rotating cutting and waste ejection arrangement or a rotating cutting and waste ejection cassette.
  • the cardboard poses have areas of cardboard waste that are cut, then immediately separated and eliminated, so that the boxes can be created.
  • the cutting and ejecting arrangement ensures a controlled, precise and fast ejection of the waste.
  • the precise operation of the cutting and ejecting arrangement eliminates all waste and prevents jams.
  • the cutting and ejecting arrangement comprises two tools, in the form of two rotating cylinders, positioned parallel to one another, so as to cooperate with each other.
  • the band consisting of poses, circulates between the two tools along a path tangential to these tools.
  • the first of these cylindrical tools has needles inserted radially in its surface.
  • the needles are placed at precise locations corresponding to the layout of the pose, and so as to stitch each waste.
  • the needles separate the waste from the laying and so the band, by driving them on a circular path with the rotation of the first needle tool, while the band away from this tool.
  • the second of these cylindrical tools ensures both the cutting and the transport of the poses and their maintenance during the stitching of the waste.
  • the second tool is equipped with knives. Radial holes are drilled in the metal surface of the second tool, apart from the knives. The position of the holes corresponds to that of the needles of the first tool. The latter are lodged in the holes during the rotation of the two tools, so as to sting and pierce the waste.
  • Some pads of a flexible material, for example foam, are arranged between the knives and outside the holes. These buffers are used to pull the tape with its boxes.
  • the combs are placed laterally relative to each other, so that one of their slots coincides with the lateral position and thus with the circular path of one of the needles on the first tool, for the purpose of avoid any collision between needles and combs.
  • the waste cut by the second tool is caught by the combs and is torn from the needles when the first tool rotates.
  • the needles are released and will sink into other waste during their next passage in the cut area of the next pose.
  • the edge of the comb must be positioned at a very precise distance from the first tool, of the order of a hundredth. If the operator leaves too great a gap between the surface of the cylinder and the edge of the comb, the waste may pass between the comb and the surface. This may first result in deformation of the comb and may also break one or more needles. Damage usually gets worse as the cylinder rotates until the machine stops. If the gap is too small, the comb may degrade and damage the first tool.
  • the combs are fixed to the frame via a guide rail.
  • the cross is itself fixed by means of lower assembly parts including studs and cheeks, reported under the bearings.
  • the layout or cassette is returned to the unit.
  • the arrangement or cassette was laid by its assembly parts during adjustment.
  • the arrangement or the cassette rests in the unit by its upper bearings and more by the assembly parts.
  • the addition of tolerance of the assembly parts then causes a maladjustment of the combs.
  • a main object of the present invention is to develop a waste cutting and ejecting arrangement for a planar support for a processing unit in a packaging production machine.
  • a second objective is to provide a device for cutting and ejecting the rotary tool waste, to obtain an extremely precise adjustment of the gap between one of the needle-carrying tools and the ejectors.
  • a third objective is to avoid adjustment variations of a cutting and ejecting arrangement between the table of setting and processing unit.
  • a fourth objective is to solve the technical problems mentioned for the arrangements of the state of the art.
  • a fifth objective is to provide a cassette comprising an arrangement for cutting and ejection of waste. Another objective is to succeed in inserting a processing unit in a packaging production machine.
  • the invention is defined in claim 1.
  • the ejectors or ejectors are attached directly to the two bearings of the needle-carrying tool, by means of the transverse fastening means.
  • the securing means have few parts and are compact. Due to the fixing directly on the bearings, a very good rigidity is obtained both in static and dynamic. The setting made on the adjustment table remains the same when the layout is found in a machine.
  • the flat support is defined, by way of non-exhaustive example, as being made of a continuous web material, such as paper, flat cardboard, corrugated cardboard, laminated corrugated cardboard, flexible plastic, for example polyethylene ( PE), from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), bioriented polypropylene (BOPP), or other materials.
