  • an upper portion OS of the muffler housing 11 of a muffler 10 has substantially the same outer profile as an upper portion OV of the closure 93 of a weapon 90, as described with reference to Figure (b ) of the Fig. 9 shown.
  • a muffler which is intended for the reduction of acoustic emission when a shot of a firearm is fired is provided.
  • the muffler can also be used as Duelsimulator.
  • Fig. 10 shows a further inventive embodiment of a muffler that can be used as a duel simulator, such as for training and / or training purposes, with bang or maneuver cartridges are used.
  • the problem is that the bang or maneuver cartridges usually do not generate enough pressure during firing to build up the gun fast enough and / or far enough to the rear to move so that the spent cartridge case ejected and a new cartridge can be reloaded.
  • the muffler 10 according to the invention is further developed in such a way that the muffler can be used as duel simulator.
  • the muffler used as duel simulator is inventively designed such that it is ensured that even when using blast and / or maneuver cartridges the self-charging function of the weapon is completely upheld.
  • the basic construction of a muffler 10 used as a duel simulator corresponds essentially to that with reference to FIG Fig. 1 shown.
  • the duel simulator thus comprises a muffler housing 11 and a mounting rail 30, wherein the mounting rail 30 is configured and attached to the muffler housing, as with reference to FIG Fig. 1 to Fig. 9 shown.
  • the muffler housing 11 When using a muffler according to the invention as duel simulator, the muffler housing 11, however, be designed to be much shorter than that with respect to Fig. 1 to Fig. 9 shown muffler, because the volume of an expansion space for the expanding gases of the bang and / or Maneuver cartridges can or must be considerably smaller than the volume of the expansion space of a designated silencer used.
  • the expansion space of a duel simulator should therefore be chosen to be smaller than the volume of an expansion space of a conventional muffler, to provide a sufficiently large recoil force or pressure for the return movement of the shutter.
  • an expansion space 16 is formed in the rear region, which adjoins the receiving opening 25 of the muffler housing 11, so that when firing a bang and / or maneuver the gases in the gun run 91 expanding gases can enter the expansion space 16.
  • the relatively small-sized expansion chamber 16 ensures that a pressure is built up by the penetrating into the expansion chamber gas, which ensures a reliable function of the self-charging function of the weapon.
  • the expansion chamber 16 may be connected to an overpressure channel 18, which is guided to the front end wall VE of the muffler housing 11. Via the overpressure channel 18, the expanding in the expansion space 16 gases are discharged to the outside, so that the pressure in the expansion space is reduced again.
  • the overpressure channel 18 is preferably dimensioned so that despite the discharge of the gases from the expansion chamber 16 in the expansion chamber 16, a sufficiently large pressure can be built up, which is sufficient for the Doubleladefunktion of the weapon, and that the pressure in the expansion space to deliver the next shot reduced to a normal level.
  • the expansion space 16 of the duel simulator is pressure-tightly coupled to the gun barrel 91 after installation of the duel simulator on the weapon 90, so that as little gas as possible can escape between the expansion space and the weapon barrel.
  • a pressure-tight coupling of the expansion space with the gun barrel can be dispensed with a reducer 19 for blast and / or maneuver cartridges.
  • this can also be used together with a arranged at the mouth opening of the gun barrel 91 reducer 19.
  • the reducer 19 is screwed into the mouth opening of the gun barrel 91 and screwed to the mouth of the gun barrel and ensures that enough pressure is built up in the gun barrel 91 after delivery of a shot to a proper function of the self-charging function of the weapon even with the use of bang - And / or maneuver cartridges to ensure.
  • the reducer has a substantially conical shape in the embodiment shown here.
  • the reducer may also have any other suitable form for this purpose.
  • the reducer 19 has a longitudinal channel 19a, through which the expanding in the gun barrel 91 gas can escape.
  • duel simulator protrudes the front end of the reducer 19 into the receiving opening 25 of the duel simulator.
  • the reducer 19 seals the expansion space 16 pressure-tight against the receiving opening 25 from.
  • the expansion space 16 when used in conjunction with a reducer 19, may be configured to achieve and achieve pressure necessary to maintain the self-loading function of the weapon such that the expansion space 16 performs substantially the same function as when using the dueling simulator without one arranged on the gun barrel reducer 19th
  • the expansion space 16 is arranged substantially coaxially to the gun barrel 91 and has substantially the same diameter as the weapon barrel 91.
  • a receiving channel 21 is provided which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing 11 and extending from the rear end wall HE to the front end wall VE of the housing 11.
  • a bulkhead 17 is arranged, which pressure and gas-tight separates the rear portion of the receiving channel from the front portion of the receiving channel.
  • the overpressure channel 18 opens into the rear region of the receiving channel 21, which forms the expansion space 16.
  • the bulkhead 17 can be moved in the longitudinal direction relative to the receiving channel 21 and locked to the receiving channel.
  • expansion chambers of different sizes can be formed, so that the size of the expansion space 16 can optionally be adapted to the bang or maneuver cartridges used. For example, when using a bang cartridge, which generates too low a pressure for the proper functioning of the self-loading function of the weapon, the expansion space 16 are reduced accordingly, which amounts to an effective pressure increase.
  • the receiving channel 21 is configured here cylindrical. However, the receiving channel can also have a different shape, for example a rectangular or square profile. In particular, the front region of the receiving channel 21 may have a different profile than the rear region which forms the expansion space 16.
  • a power supply such as a battery, a sensor unit and a laser diode are arranged.
  • the battery 22 serves to supply power to the sensor unit 84 and the laser diode 80.
  • the sensor unit may comprise, for example, an acoustic sensor with which the firing of a blast or maneuver cartridge can be detected acoustically.
  • the sensor unit 84 may also include a pressure sensor with which a pressure increase in the expansion space 16, which is caused by the firing of a bomber cartridge, can be detected.
  • an evaluation or control device is arranged in the receiving channel 21, which is operatively coupled to the sensor unit 84.
  • the evaluation or control unit is adapted to evaluate the sensor signal provided by the sensor unit 84 and to control the laser diode 80 as a function of the evaluation result.
  • the evaluation or control device is adapted to cause the laser diode 80 to emit a laser beam after detection of an emitted shot.
  • an encoded laser beam is emitted by the laser diode after the detection of a firing.
  • the encoded laser beam may include, for example, an identification number of the shooter and information about the weapon and / or ammunition type used.
  • the Duelsimulator can be modular, wherein the receiving channel 21 forms together with the pressure channel 18 a module that can be inserted into the housing 11. As a result, 11 different modules can be used in the housing, which are each adapted to different requirements.
  • the use of the muffler according to the invention as Duelsimulator, as with reference to Fig. 10 described, has the advantage that the duel simulator is not more on the gun barrel 91 must be screwed, but can be pushed to the mounting rail 94 of the weapon, which allows a particularly fast assembly and disassembly of Duelsimulators to or from the weapon.
