Definitions

  • the invention relates to a door for a domestic appliance with a first door pane and at least one second door pane arranged at a distance from it.
  • the door also comprises a holding element which is connected to the two door panes and holds the door panes in position relative to one another.
  • Such a door is for example from the U.S. 4,041,930 known.
  • the holding elements have wraparound areas that encompass the edge sides of the door panes.
  • a spacer element extends between these wraparound areas, which is integrally connected to these wraparound areas, so that the distance between the door panes is maintained by this spacer element in a direction perpendicular to the planes of the two door panes.
  • the holding element shown in the prior art is designed as a circumferential rigid frame.
  • the U.S. 5,799,647 A describes an oven door having a window unit in which a pair of rectangular window panes are held in spaced, parallel relationship by means of a frame.
  • the document discloses all the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the EP 1 308 676 A2 describes an oven door in which an intermediate pane is arranged between an outer pane and an inner pane.
  • the object of the present invention is to create a door for a household appliance and such a household appliance with which or in which at least two door panes of a door are held together and, on the other hand, no undesired leakage openings for the passage of an air flow or thermal radiation occur, in particular when the Deform door panes due to manufacturing tolerances and / or temperature influences during operation of the household appliance.
  • a door according to the invention for a domestic appliance comprises a first door pane and at least one second door pane arranged at a distance from it. Furthermore the door comprises at least one holding element which is connected to the two door panes and holds the two door panes in position relative to one another.
  • An essential idea of the invention is to be seen in the fact that at least one cover element is formed which extends in an intermediate space between the door panes and beyond parallel to the edge sides of the door panes.
  • the cover element is arranged such that it covers the space between these edge sides in the direction of the edge sides at least in sections and is designed to be elastically deformable in a direction perpendicular to the planes of the door panes.
  • an additional, separate cover element also creates the possibility that undesired deformations or manufacturing tolerances prevent leakage openings from forming at undesired locations between these door panes. This is achieved by the shape and the local attachment as well as the elasticity of the cover element. Even if at least one of the door panes deforms, in particular bends, for example when exposed to temperature during operation of the household appliance, this change in shape can also be carried out by the elastically deformable cover element, and the space between the door panes remains closed or covered in the area of the cover element . This prevents an undesirable air flow between the cover element and a door pane.
  • the cover element is thus also an intermediate part which covers a gap between the edge sides of the two door panes that run parallel to one another and spaced apart from one another, this cover being dependent on the length of this cover element over which it extends in the direction of these edge sides.
  • the at least one holding element on the one hand and the at least one cover element on the other hand are provided as separate components.
  • the retaining element has wraparound areas that encompass the edge sides of the door panes and at least one spacer bracket which extends freely cantilevered from a wraparound area encompassing a door pane at the edge in the direction of the other encompassing area and, in the assembled state, rests against the door pane encompassed by the other wraparound area .
  • This spacer for the door panes is again favored.
  • this spacer bracket is not an element standing vertically and thus perpendicularly on the door panes, which would then be inherently rigid. Rather, this spacer bracket is an inclined and / or angled bracket which then rests with a curved end region on the inside of the opposite door pane.
  • a cover element may be sufficient here that extends only over a partial path or a partial length of these parallel edge sides.
  • the specific direction in which the cover element can be elastically deformed is particularly suitable for counteracting these negative issues.
  • this cover element is to be understood in particular in such a way that it can change its overall height measured in the direction perpendicular to the planes of the door panes at specific points, this then possibly occurring only locally due to the local deformation of the door panes.
  • the cover element can not only be curved with regard to its elastic deformability and then has the same overall height over the entire length in this curved position, but that precisely this local height variation is particularly advantageous.
  • the cover element is designed like a rail.
  • the cover element is U-shaped in cross-section and with one leg of the U-shape on a surface side of the first door pane facing the second door pane and with a second leg of the U-shape on a first door pane facing surface side of the second door pane is applied.
  • the cover element has at least one clip strap with which the cover element engages around an edge side of a door pane and is held on this door pane.
  • this configuration makes a very Achieved easily mountable and demountable fastening option of the cover element on a door pane.
  • this possibility of fastening the cover element is also very stable and permanently functional, so that the cover element is also held in a positionally secure manner on the one door pane, on which the clip tab then also engages.
  • a plurality of individual and spaced apart clip tabs are provided over the entire length of the cover element, so that the security against slipping is improved and undesired tilting of the cover element in the plane of this door pane is prevented. An at least two-point attachment of the cover element to a door pane is thus achieved.
  • At least two separate cover elements are formed, which are arranged on opposite edge sides of the door panes and extend into the space.
  • these cover elements extend on the opposite edge sides of the door panes which are oriented vertically when the door is closed.
  • the holding element in a basic state of the door panes, which is characterized by a positional and shape-specific state in such a way that, based on this, a state that is deformed or deformed when the door panes are exposed to temperature results, holds these door panes positionally in such a way that the cover element is compressed acting pretensioned in the direction perpendicular to the planes of the door panes.
  • This is also a very advantageous embodiment, because on the one hand the positional arrangement of the cover element is kept even better and constant, on the other hand the pretensioning results in a quasi double-sided pressing on the door panes and thus the door panes would more or less be pushed apart.
  • This preload is thus designed in such a way that the two legs of the U-shape are moved towards one another in relation to the unloaded basic state.
  • the holding elements are preferably designed to be rigid in themselves, so that there is no elastic deformation effect here to compensate for a deformation of the door pane.
  • the holding elements are adapted to the corner areas in a quasi L-shape and are only designed and arranged in these corner areas.
  • a cover element extends parallel to the respective edge sides of the door panes between two holding elements, so that here, too, the composite between the cover elements and the holding elements results in a pane package that is sealed all around and thus circumferentially.
  • the seal is to be understood in the context of the fact that no undesired air flows due to leaks due to the deformation of the door panes between such a door pane and a cover element occur.
  • a gas-tight seal is therefore not to be understood or required, but only to be understood as an embodiment in which undesired leakage air flows, which could have an undesirable positive or negative temperature influence on one or more door panes, is prevented.
  • two cover elements and two holding elements can also be provided in the case of a configuration of square door panes with thus four edge sides.
  • a retaining element is U-shaped and extends over the entire length of one edge side of two parallel edge sides of the door panes and still encompasses the corner areas adjoining these edge sides.
  • the holding elements are thus designed as a kind of U-shaped bracket.
  • This is then preferably also provided on the opposite edge sides of the two door panes extending parallel to them by a further holding element which is configured and shaped accordingly.
  • Cover elements then extend between the two holding elements as connecting parts, so that even with such a configuration, a completely circumferential structure is again formed from the holding elements and the cover elements.
  • an all-round sealed configuration is achieved in the sense of the above explanation.
  • the holding element is designed in a plane parallel to a door pane or in a plane of the door pane in a U-shape.
  • the cover element is U-shaped in a plane perpendicular to the planes of the door panes and thus in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of such a cover element.
  • a retaining element is designed like a strip and encompasses edge sides of the door panes running parallel. This encompassing is then also to be understood in a plane perpendicular to the two door panes, so that this holding element also represents a certain edge protection or edge protection for the door panes.
  • this configuration also benefits the relative position of the door panes to one another.
  • first holding element engages around at least the upper horizontal edge sides of the door panes and a second holding element engages around at least the lower horizontal edge faces of the door panes.
  • holding elements are thus designed as upper horizontally extending parts and lower horizontally extending parts.
  • a horizontal edge side of the door panel closer to a cooking chamber of a household appliance is encompassed by the at least two door panels over at least 80%, in particular at least 90%, of the length of the edge side, by the holding element. Since the holding element is very stable in the direction of its longitudinal axis due to the shape and thus also withstands bending relative to the longitudinal axis very well, a very stiff part is also provided by this configuration, which also prevents deformation of a door pane and thus bending the door pane from its Counteracts level out.
  • the holding element holds edge sides of the door panes to be held with play.
  • this configuration with play is to be understood to the effect that only relatively small movement tolerances are permitted in order to be able to yield undesirable stresses under temperature influences on the door panes when the door panes are immediately rigidly received and expanded in the areas around the holding elements. This can prevent the formation of cracks in the door panels.
  • precisely this defined and intentional small play-afflicted attachment also takes better account of the functionality of the cover element, so that the corresponding deformation elasticity of the cover element can then be better utilized.
  • the holding element and the cover element are connected in a non-destructive detachable manner, in particular in a locked manner.
  • these separate parts can also be held in a certain position fixation with respect to one another and, especially in the case of an embodiment in which a completely encircling concept is implemented in the combination of these holding elements and cover elements, the mechanical holding of the entire components to one another can also be improved.
  • the above-mentioned sealing concept is also improved by such a configuration.
  • non-destructive detachable connection which can be an advantageous locking connection, is also very quick and user-friendly assembly and Dismantling possible.
  • the total number of cover elements and the total number of holding elements form a circumferential frame.
  • cover element and the holding element are non-destructive and non-detachable.
  • the invention also relates to a household appliance for preparing food, which has a door according to the invention or an advantageous embodiment, and which is designed and arranged to close a cooking chamber of the household appliance.
  • this pane package with the at least two door panes and the at least provided retaining elements and the at least provided cover elements can be preassembled independently of the door and the household appliance as such and can be provided as an already preassembled assembly for further assembly.
  • a cover element is made of plastic or metal, for example as a thin sheet steel or spring sheet.
  • a cover element extending adjacent to one edge side or parallel to the edge sides of door panes is preferably designed in one piece.
  • wraparound areas of a holding element are formed by additional components made of metal or plastic, for example silicone, and are attached between the holding element and the respective door pane, in order in particular to also avoid rattling. It can also be provided that more than two separate door panes are held in position relative to one another by such cover elements and holding elements and the intermediate spaces formed by the spacing of the parallel plate-like door panes are correspondingly covered.
  • the aspects achieved by the holding elements and the cover elements and thus also their functional interaction have a positive influence on the temperature development of the individual door panes, on the energy consumption of the Household appliance and thus also on the cooking result.
  • the door can be ventilated in a more defined manner through the individual spaces between the door panes.
  • the effect of the cover elements also means that other components, for example side parts of the door, are protected from the high temperature from the cooking space and can be made from less expensive materials.
  • such a solution creates the freedom to replace more expensive sealing materials with more common and less expensive materials, such as spring steel sheets or thin steel sheets, for example.
  • a household appliance 1 for preparing food for example an oven
  • the household appliance 1 comprises a housing 2 which surrounds a muffle 3. With its walls, the muffle 3 delimits a cooking space 4 in which food can be introduced for preparation.
  • the muffle 3 has a loading opening at the front, which can be closed by a door 5.

  • Household appliance 1 also includes, in terms of position and configuration, only shown by way of example, an operating device 6 with a display unit 7 and operating elements 8 and 9. Household appliance 1 can also have a hob with cooking zones.
  • the household appliance 1 can also be equipped with a pyrolysis function.
  • the door 5 is shown in a further schematic representation with partial components. It has a front pane or an outer pane 10 which, when the door 5 is closed, faces a viewer and faces away from the cooking space 4.
  • the door 5 comprises an inner pane 11 which, when the door 5 is closed, is the pane closest to the cooking space 4.
  • the door 5 comprises at least one, in the exemplary embodiment two, intermediate panes 12 and 13, which are arranged between the front pane 10 and the inner pane 11.
  • the disks 10 to 13 are plate-like and oriented parallel to one another, with an intermediate space 14, 15 and 16 being formed between adjacent disks. Provision is made for the door 5 to be specifically ventilated, on the one hand to keep the front pane 10 as cool as possible, and on the other hand to cool the inner pane 11 as little as possible. For this purpose, very specific air ducts are specified through the door 5.
