Definitions
- the invention relates to a jetty for pillars of offshore installations according to the features in the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a maintenance crew is transferred by boat to the offshore facility.
- the boat is brought to a jetty which is attached to a pillar of such an offshore facility.
- the jetty consists of two vertical fender pipes.
- the boat is pushed against the fender pipes on the bow side, so that the maintenance team can climb onto a ladder that is closer to the pillar than the fender pipes.
- the fender pipes protect the maintenance crew from the pressure exerted by the boat on the fender pipes.
- Such a jetty will be in the GB 2485556 A and in the GB 2480408 A described.
- the unyielding fender pipes are made of steel and are coated with a corrosion protection layer, usually a paint, which is exposed to high mechanical loads and strong environmental influences.
- a corrosion protection layer usually a paint
- Fenders are also arranged on the mooring boats. These may be rubber buffers, so there is no metallic contact between the boat and the fender pipes. Due to the unavoidable relative movement between the fender pipes and the boats, damage to the fender pipes occurs relatively quickly. Despite a protective coating corrosion is detected early. On the other hand, a very long service life is expected from offshore installations, in particular wind turbines.
- the invention has for its object to provide a jetty for pillars of offshore installations, which is characterized by a longer life.
- This construction of two different tubes has the advantage that a cost-effective, not resistant to seawater steel can be used as a supporting substructure.
- the outer tube protects the substructure against attack by the seawater.
- an outer tube of a seawater-resistant metal alloy in any case more resistant than a paint or a UV-aging and mechanical, z. B due to flotsam to be injured shell in the form of a plastic film.
- An outer tube made of a suitable metal alloy is by far superior to all other anti-corrosion coatings for the specific application.
- the outer tube and the inner tube of the fender tube are non-positively connected with each other.
- This preferably applies to all double-walled pipes on the jetty according to the invention.
- a non-positive connection can in particular be produced by pressing the outer tube onto the inner tube. This can be done by means of a drawing bench, by means of which the outer tube is virtually pulled onto the inner tube. This creates a soundproof connection. This means that the two pipes are firmly seated without a gap.
- the non-positive connection allows no relative displacement of the inner tube relative to the outer tube.
- the fender tube behaves like a single unit, only with different material properties inside and outside.
- these support tubes can be constructed with two shells, ie they can have an inner tube of non-seawater resistant steel and an outer tube of a seawater resistant metal alloy.
- the diameter range of the support tubes is preferably in a range of 80 mm to 200 mm.
- the ladder itself and the struts connecting the ladder with the fender pipes can also consist exclusively of a seawater-resistant metal alloy. It may be a solid material or a hollow material.
- the diameter range can be between 60 mm and 200 mm. In these diameter ranges, preferably a hollow material is used, as well as in the struts themselves. Of course, but here is the same two-piece construction as possible with the Fenderrohren.
- the ladder rungs can be made of a square material in a diameter range of 20 mm to 60 mm. Here, a solid material is preferably used.
- the outer tube of the fender tube is preferably a seamlessly drawn tube. Seamless drawn tubes have no welds. The homogeneous structure provides fewer points of attack for corrosive influences. Naturally, there are no weld seams on the seamlessly drawn pipe and therefore no welding additives or structural changes due to welding, which could increase the risk of corrosion.
- the outer tube is also a welded tube, either by a spiral weld or by a longitudinal weld.
- the wall thickness of the outer tubes is preferably in a range of 1 mm to 10 mm. This wall thickness is sufficient to withstand strong mechanical loads. It should be noted that mechanical stresses are caused not only by the application of a boat, but also by the mechanical removal of adhesions required from time to time, e.g. barnacles. This applies in particular to the area of the ladder, which should enable safe passage of the maintenance team to the offshore installation.
- the seawater-resistant metal alloys are copper-based alloys, since these have, in addition to a prominent resistance to seawater, also a unique inhibiting property against seawater organisms, in particular copper-nickel alloys containing 70 to 90% copper, balance nickel and impurities caused by melting.
- nickel alloys such as Alloy 400 (European material number 2.4360, American UNS N04400) and Alloy 825 (European material number 2.4858).
- high-alloy seawater-resistant stainless steels, duplex steels or super duplex steels can be used.
- the wall thickness of the inner tubes is greater than the wall thickness of the outer tubes, e.g. by a factor of 2 to 10.
- the inner sides of the fender pipes are to be protected from access to seawater. Consequently, the fender pipes are sealed watertight at the end.
- the individual components of the boat feeder are preferably welded together. In order to protect the welds against corrosion attacks, it is also envisaged that these also preferably have a nickel content of 25% to 95%, if the seawater-resistant metal alloys used are copper-based or nickel-based alloys. When stainless steels are used, appropriate corrosion-resistant welding materials are used.
- FIG. 1 shows a jetty 1, which is attached in a manner not shown on a pillar of an offshore installation.
- the pillar may be, for example, the pillar a wind turbine.
- the jetty 1 comprises two fender tubes 2, 3, which are arranged parallel to each other and are substantially perpendicular to the sea level. The exact orientation depends on the pillar, not shown. Theoretically, the jetty 1 may also be slightly inclined when the pillar tapers upwards. The lower ends of the fender tubes 2,3 are angled in the direction of the pillar. This ensures that a boat does not get caught on the fender pipes 2, 3 during rough seas.
- the conductor 4 is held by struts 5, which are connected to the fender pipes 2, 3.
- the fender tubes 2, 3 themselves are connected via transverse outgoing support tubes 6 with screw flanges 7 to a supporting structure of the pillar, not shown.
- FIG. 4 shows hinted the support structure 8, which counts to the pillar and is used to attach the jetty 1.
- FIG. 2 shows a fender tube 2 in cross section along the line II-II of FIG. 4 ,
- the structure is double-walled.
- the fender tube 2 has an outer tube 9 and an inner tube 10.
- the outer tube 9 is made of a seawater resistant metal alloy. It consists in this embodiment of a copper-nickel alloy CuNi90 / 10 min.
- the inner tube 10 is made of non-seawater resistant steel in this embodiment S355J2H.
- the fender tube 2 and the transverse outgoing support tube 6 have the same diameter D1. It is in this embodiment between 300 mm and 400 mm.
- the structure of the support tube 5 is identical in terms of materials with the structure of the fender tubes 2, 3.
- the fender tube 2 is welded to the support tube 7.
- FIG. 3 shows a sectional view in the region of a strut 5.
- the strut 5 is a circular cross-section hollow profile. Also, this hollow profile is constructed double-layered and has on the outside an outer tube 11 made of a seawater resistant metal alloy. Inside is a supporting inner tube 12 made of steel. It is the same material pairing as the fender tube 2 and the support tube 6, ie CuNi90 / 10 and S355J2H.
- the vertical left in the image plane pipe is a ladder stile 13. Again, this is a hollow profile.
- the ladder stile 13 has the same outer diameter D2 as the strut 5. However, there is the difference that the ladder stile 13 consists exclusively of a seawater-resistant metal alloy. In this case, it is also the same alloy as in the outer tubes 9, 11 of the fender tube 2 and the strut 5, i. CuNi90 / 10 min.
- the ladder stile 13 carries rungs 14.
- the rungs 14 also consist of a seawater resistant metal alloy. It is a square profile made of CuNi90 / 10.
- FIG. 4 It can be seen that the struts 5 are approximately at 45 ° to the support tubes 6.
- the support tubes 6 are welded to the flanges 7. These consist in this embodiment of the steel S355NL and are coated on the outside with a layer of CuNi90 / 10.
- the jetty therefore has no surface areas that do not consist of a seawater resistant metal alloy. Preferably, it is altogether the same metal alloy.
