Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rope end which is spliced to form a loop.
- Spliced rope ends are eg in the US 3,102,715 A , of the GB 1480 826A and the WO 2011/071387 A1 described.
- Stiffness and thickness are a problem in particular in the application of a man protection in tree work, as it can still lead to a hanging of the rope at obstacles (branches).
- the present invention has for its object to provide a spliced and secured with a suture rope end, which is designed in terms of its stiffness and thickness over the known from the prior art rope ends more advantageous.
- a loop-spliced end of a rope comprising a rope end piece folded back to form the loop and a rope section leading to the loop, wherein a splice region is provided in which the rope end piece is guided inside the rope section leading to the loop, and wherein the rope is a core / sheath rope, which is characterized in that Rope end piece in the splice area a part of the core, preferably the entire core is removed, that in the splice region a load-bearing suturing of the cable end piece is provided with the rope leading to the rope section, and that a load-bearing suture in a region of the loop leading to the rope portion, which forms part of Kernes, preferably the entire core, is provided.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically the structure of a preferred embodiment of a cable end according to the invention.
- a spliced rope end of a core / sheath rope is provided in which the core or a part of the core is removed in the rope end piece at least in the splicing region.
- Core / sheath ropes can, as is well known, contain a single core (eg yarns braided into a rope), or else a core consisting of several separable parts (eg several twisted yarns, the twists without yarns) Connection with each other next to each other) consists.
- part of the core means part of the core forming materials, e.g. a part of the threads forming the core.
- removing a portion of the core is accordingly meant removing at least a portion of the core forming materials, e.g. by removing one of a plurality of twines forming the core, but also by detaching one or more yarns from a rope contained in the core.
- the term “the entire core” means the core in its present form in the rest of the rope, i. with all the core forming materials such as e.g. all twisted or braided yarns.
- part of the nucleus is to be understood as “ at least part of the nucleus”.
- the remaining jacket is compressible and therefore has a smaller diameter in the splice area than the original core / sheath rope.
- this also means that the splice area as such has a smaller increase in thickness compared to the normal thickness of the cable than in the case of cables known from the prior art or even virtually no increase in the thickness.
- the suturing may optionally be in the form of several separate sutures. There must be at least one load-bearing suture of the rope end piece with the rope section leading to the sling in the splice region and a load-bearing suture in a region of the rope section leading to the sling, in which part of the core, preferably the entire core, is present.
- load-bearing suturing means that suturing is stable, ie, not tearing or tearing, with respect to the tensile loads occurring during use of the respective rope.
- a load-bearing suturing in the sense of the present invention is able to ensure a minimum rope end load of at least 10 kN, preferably at least 15 kN, measured according to EN1891: 1998, chapter 5.10.1, for a safety rope according to EN 1891.
- Such ropes have a diameter of 8.5 to 16 mm.
- the production of such load-bearing sutures is known per se to the person skilled in the art, see, for example, US Pat EP 0 768 100 B1 ,
- the suturing or the sutures are machined.
- the material for sewing can be selected arbitrarily; Preference is given to seams of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (PA) or high molecular weight polyethylene (HMW-PE, known by the name Dyneema®).
- the core is preferably also located in the rope end piece in the region of the loop. It follows that even the loop itself has no or only a small increase in thickness in relation to the normal thickness of the rope.
- the core can also be removed in the cable section over at least part of the splicing area.
- the suturing provided according to the invention in any case comprises a region of the rope section leading to the loop, in which part of the core, preferably the entire core, is present. If part of the core is also removed in the area of stitching in the rope section leading to the loop, it is obvious to the person skilled in the art that at least enough material of the core must remain in order to ensure the tensile load resistance of the rope in connection with the sewing.
- the splice region and the region of the loop leading to the rope portion, which has a part of the core overlap. This means that the rope end piece guided inside the cable section without core or with only a part of the core lies at least partially against the core present in the cable section.
- a single continuous load-bearing stitching is provided.
- At least part of the region of the cable end piece in which the core is removed is additionally tapered. This can be done in particular by removing part of the material forming the jacket, e.g. by gradual removal of single or multiple yarns done. This results in a further reduction in the thickness of the rope end.
- a reinforcing element of the rope end can also be present at least in a part of the region of the loop leading to the rope section, in which the core is removed. It can also be present at least in a part of the region of the loop leading to the rope section, in which the core is removed, a reinforcing element of the rope end. Likewise, at least in part of the area of the sling leading rope section, which has a part of the core, a reinforcing element present.
- the reinforcing element is preferably arranged in the interior of the jacket. This reinforcing element can perform various tasks, such as e.g. the stabilization of the shape of the sling. Preferably, the reinforcing element serves to increase the tensile load resistance of the rope end.
- a glazing-resistant reinforcing element is preferably provided, which is preferably arranged in the interior of the shell.
- the shape and design of the reinforcing element depends on its objective.
- the reinforcing element may in particular be in the form of a flat band.
- At least part of the reinforcing element is encompassed by the suturing provided according to the invention or the sutures provided according to the invention.
- a single continuous stitching is preferably provided.
- Another aspect of the present invention relates to a cable having a cable end according to the invention.
- the rope end or rope according to the invention is constructed in a manner known per se as a core / sheath rope, it being possible to use all the materials and constructions known in the art for the core or the sheath, such as e.g. high strength polyamide or polyester materials.
- the material of the preferably provided reinforcing element in particular in the form of a band, high-strength materials such as e.g. Dyneema® (HMWPE), aramid and Vectran® (LC polyester) in question.
- the reinforcing element may e.g. woven or braided, in particular in the form of a collapsible hollow braid present.
- FIG. 1 refers to a single core embodiment (ie, a core made, for example, of rope braided yarns).
- a core made, for example, of rope braided yarns.
- the statements are analogously also for embodiments with a core consisting of several parts.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a rope end 1 of a core / sheath rope.
- the core of the rope is shown schematically by reference numeral 8.
- a loop 2 is formed by the repelling of the rope end 3.
- the rope end 3 is spliced in a known manner with the cable section 4 leading to the loop 2 by being inserted into the cable section 4 and extending over a certain area within the cable section.
- the area between the first point, viewed from the loop, at which the end piece touches the cable section 4 and enters it (eg in the form of a puncture), up to the end of the end piece 3, is referred to as a splicing area 5.
- a load-bearing sewing 6 is provided.
- the load-bearing stitching also includes sections of a core 8 having part 4a of the loop leading cable section. 4
- the stitching 6 is shown as a single continuous stitching. But there are also several separate stitching possible.
- the splice region 5 and the part 4a of the cable section 4 having a core preferably overlap one another in part.
- the stitching 6 in this case comprises a part of the splice region 5 in which the core is removed both in the cable section 4 and in the cable end piece 3, and a part of the splice region 5 in which the cable section 4 has a core 8.
- the areas of the cable end 1, in which no core is present, can be further tapered, which in the FIG. 1 only schematically for the cable end 3 in the splice region 5 is shown.
- a reinforcing element 7 (shown as a dotted line) is provided in the cable end 1. This can, as in FIG. 1 shown, ranging from the cable section 4 to the end of the splice region 5 or even beyond. Preference is given, as in FIG. 1 also includes the reinforcing element 7 of the suture 6.
- Cable ends according to the invention were produced from ropes of the following types:
- Rope 1 Core-sheath-rope (DM 11,5mm) with PET-sheath (24-braided) and a core of several twisted PA-twists. *
- Cable 2 skin-core cable (DM 11.5 mm) with PET sheath (24 flechtig) and a core with a braided PA Seilchen central and twisting of polyolefin.

Description
US 3,102,715 A , derGB 1480 826 A WO 2011/071387 A1 beschrieben.
