Definitions

  • the invention relates to a slide closure for a metallurgical casting vessel, in particular ladle, with a slide plate displaceably mounted between a head plate and a discharge plate according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the known constructions are each characterized by a high design effort; soi is z. B. in the construction according to the EP 0446406 A1 or even the DE 4007993 A1 provided that an additional gas-tight lockable box is built around the slide valve closure or the slide housing itself, into which an inert gas, in particular argon gas, line opens, so that an inert gas environment can be produced within the mentioned box.
  • all known solutions are characterized by a relatively complex accessibility to the plates of the slide closure, whereby the exchange of the same is more difficult.
  • the present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a slide closure available, compared to the prior art considerably is easier to build, and in which the plates are easily accessible, while at the same time reliably avoiding (during operation) Ambient air is sucked into the spout channel and added to the molten metal.
  • the slide plate has at least one passage opening whose inner diameter preferably corresponds to the inner diameter of the corresponding through holes of the head and spout plate. In principle, it is also conceivable that the inner diameter of the slide plate deviates from the inner diameters of the head and / or discharge plate.
  • a second passage opening in the slide plate is conceivable, whose diameter is smaller than the aforementioned diameter, to a defined reduced spout of molten metal from the casting vessel, e.g. a ladle, to ensure.
  • the slide plate would then in this case not only one, but two spaced-apart open positions.
  • Argon is preferably used as the inert gas.
  • the slider housing by the mounting plate comprehensive side on the one hand and a pivotally mounted about a first axis limited box-like frame on the other hand, wherein on the opposite side of the mounting plate, the spout plate is mounted.
  • a circumferential seal in particular sealing cord arranged. This seal is therefore assigned to the same freely open at the opening of the slide housing sides.
  • An essential aspect of the invention is that the slide plate frame together with slide plate on the box-like frame of the slider housing is pivotally held about a second, in particular approximately parallel to a first axis extending axis, in such a way that when closing the slide housing, the slide plate in the box-like frame into contact with the discharge plate mounted there and then the box-like frame including spout and slide plate to the mounting plate zoom under the slide plate to the mounted on the mounting plate head plate are pivoted, or vice versa when opening the valve body.
  • this construction which is extremely compact, all the plates of the three-plate slide are easily accessible and interchangeable if required.
  • the pressure either the negative pressure or alternatively the inert gas overpressure
  • adjustable within the valve body in particular is adjustable, preferably in response to the slide plate position between "fully open” and “completely closed". If, for example, the inert gas pressure in the valve body were set too high, inert gas could pass excessively into the molten metal between the plates of the valve and be entrained with it into a distributor channel. There is then the danger that inert gas bubbles rise through the slag and break up the slag layer or corresponding melt cover. Thus, the melt comes back directly in contact with ambient air, which leads to potentially adverse chemical reactions.
  • the pressure in the slide housing may be either underpressure or overpressure, depending on the slide plate position.
  • the pressure in the slide housing may be either underpressure or overpressure, depending on the slide plate position.
  • the pressure in the slide housing may be either underpressure or overpressure, depending on the slide plate position.
  • full open position of the slide plate on the other hand sucked less ambient air or inert gas between this one hand and the head and / or spout plate than in half-open position.
  • half-open or partial open position arises at the bottom of the protruding into the spout opening portion of the slide plate high negative pressure. Accordingly, more “inert gas” is “consumed”. This increased “inert gas consumption” can be compensated by correspondingly increased inert gas supply into the valve housing.
  • this negative pressure in the slide housing should be reduced accordingly to avoid that on the underside of the protruding into the spout part of the slide plate too high a negative pressure is produced, which is harmful could affect the metal flow.
  • a circumferential seal in particular sealing cord is arranged between the mounting plate and casting vessel. This ensures that no ambient air can penetrate between the connection side of the valve housing on the one hand and the underside of the casting vessel or ladle on the other hand.
  • the slide plate is preferably held within a slide plate frame and together with this from a closed to an open position and vice versa.
  • a slide plate drive is still connected, and also with the interposition of a separate seal.
  • the slide plate frame is formed a connection part for coupling to a complementary connection element of the slide plate drive, the latter protrudes into the interior of the slide housing to be automatically locked there when closing the slide housing with the connection part of the slide plate frame. So that is the slide plate with the slide valve housing always in operative connection with the slide plate drive.
  • the slide plate frame is either manually or automatically locked to a separate swing frame when opening the slide plate and simultaneous decoupling of the slide plate frame including slide plate from the slide plate drive, or vice versa when closing the slide housing unlocked. This ensures that when the slide housing is closed, the slide plate frame together with the slide plate is freely back and forth, while with the slide housing open the slide plate frame including slide plate is securely held on the slide housing, via the separate swing frame.
  • the slide plate frame locking mechanism includes a locking pin slidably mounted on the swing frame and cooperating with a corresponding pin receiver in the slide plate frame.
  • a locking pin slidably mounted on the swing frame and cooperating with a corresponding pin receiver in the slide plate frame.
  • the locking pin engages in the pin receptacle. Conversely, it behaves when unlocking the slide plate frame including slide plate.
  • FIGS. 1 to 7 a preferred embodiment of an inventively designed slide closure is shown.

This spout is in Fig.
  • the slide plate 3 is reciprocally mounted between one of the mounting plate 2 associated top plate 5 and the spout 8 associated spout plate 6, between an open position according to the Figures 3 and 4 on the one hand and a closed position on the other.
  • the slide plate 3 is arranged within a slide plate frame 10.
  • the slide plate frame 10 is coupled to an outer drive 13. It is preferably a hydraulic drive with hydraulic cylinder and piston rod.
  • the free end of the piston rod, which in the Figures 3 and 5 Numeral 11 is coupled to a complementary terminal portion 12 of the gate plate frame when the gate housing is in the closed position, as shown in FIG Fig. 3 is shown.

  • In the closed state of the slide housing are all three plates 3, 5, 6 within the same, as the Figures 3 and 4 very good.
  • the spout plate 3 may preferably be sprung in the direction of the slide plate, so that a sufficiently high density is ensured between the plates by design. As already mentioned, it is true that as little ambient air and / or inert gas as possible reaches the spout channel 4.
  • the head plate is in a conventional manner still an upper sleeve 18, and the spout plate 6 associated with a spout in the form of a spout 8.
  • a not shown here immersion tube may be connected.
  • the slide plate frame 10 together with the slide plate 3 is pivotally held on the box-like frame about a second, parallel to the first axis 16 extending axis 9, such that when closing the slide housing 1, the slide plate in the box-like frame 14 into contact with the mounted there Ausgussplatte. 6 , And then the box-like frame 14 including spout and slide plate to the mounting plate 2 zoom under the slide plate 3 to the mounted on the mounting plate 2 head plate 5 are pivotable.
