Description

The invention relates to a cleaning head for a cleaning device for wet cleaning of floor surfaces with a housing, a fixed or pivotally connected to the housing suction nozzle for connecting a suction unit, a device for dispensing a cleaning agent and at least one arranged on a bottom of the housing slit-shaped suction opening for the suction of Detergent from a floor surface. The suction nozzle opens into a suction chamber of the housing, with which the suction opening for sucking the cleaning agent is connected.

A cleaning head with the features described above is out DE 100 03 883 C1 known. The known cleaning head has on its underside a mat or fleece-shaped cleaning pad, via which a liquid cleaning agent is applied to a floor surface to be cleaned. In the direction of movement in front of and behind the cleaning pad suction openings are provided to suck the cleaning agent again from the bottom surface. The cleaning process is referred to as a spray extraction process and is used, inter alia, to obtain a textile floor covering over many years in a new, respectable state. When using the cleaning head on a textile floor covering is disadvantageous that the detergent is applied only superficially on the floor surface and is not mechanically incorporated into the textile covering. In order to achieve a sufficient cleaning effect, a relatively large amount of detergent must be used. After aspirating the detergent, a high residual moisture remains on the floor.

Out EP 2 064 979 A1 For example, a cleaning head is known which has a cleaning roller in a roller chamber. Before and behind a bottom-side opening of the roller chamber a sealing lip is provided in each case, which limits an inflow of air. The entering into the bottom opening suction air is passed through a housing of the cleaning head to a back-connected suction. In order to achieve a sufficient flow and cleaning effect depending on the floor covering, a bypass is provided, which opens with a bottom-side bypass opening behind the bottom opening of the cleaning roller.

Out US 2006/0288517 A1 a cleaning head is known, which has a wet cleaning function. In a roll chamber, a cleaning roller is arranged, wherein nozzles are provided for the discharge of a cleaning liquid at the front of the cleaning head. The cleaning liquid is sprayed in front of the cleaning head and can then be taken up to a certain extent with the remaining suction air via a bottom-side opening of the roller chamber, wherein in each case a sealing lip is provided in front of and behind the roller chamber. The inclusion of liquid over the comparatively large bottom-side opening of the roller chamber is in need of improvement.

From practice electro brushing devices for wet cleaning of floor surfaces are known, which are used both on smooth floors and on textile floor coverings and have an arrangement of oppositely driven brushing rollers. By the brush rollers, the bottom surface is brushed intensively and applied to the bottom surface cleaning agent supplied to a collecting container. It is not sucked. The detergent must therefore be used in a lower dosage than in a spray extraction process. The residual moisture of the floor covering is therefore lower after use.

Against this background, the invention has for its object to provide a cleaning head for a cleaning device for wet cleaning of floor surfaces, which brushes the wetted with a detergent floor surface and the cleaning agent effectively resumes. The cleaning head should be universal and easy to handle.

The object of the invention and solution of this problem is a cleaning head according to claim 1.

According to the invention, the suction chamber of the cleaning head comprises a roller chamber, in which at least one rotationally driven cleaning roller is arranged. The roller chamber has on the bottom side a preferably rectangular opening into which a peripheral portion of the cleaning roller dips. The suction opening for sucking off the cleaning agent extends along the base-side opening of the roller chamber and is bounded on its side remote from the opening of the roller chamber longitudinal side of a sealing lip.

The cleaning roller provides for the distribution of the cleaning agent and for an intensive mechanical contact with the ground, for example a carpet pile or a smooth floor. Due to the mechanical action of the cleaning roller on the bottom surface, the detergent can be dispensed sparingly. With the suction, however, an increased detergent use for improved cleaning is harmless. By entering into the bottom opening of the roller chamber air flow dirt particles can also be recorded and transported. When cleaning textile bottom surfaces flows through the entering into the bottom opening of the roller chamber air flow first the batt and thereby makes a contribution to the drying of the bottom surface. However, the main amount of the cleaning agent is sucked through the suction opening, which is according to the invention adjacent to the bottom-side opening of the roller chamber and is limited at its side facing away from the opening of the roller chamber longitudinal side of a sealing lip. At the sealing lip liquid collects, which adheres to the floor and can then be effectively sucked as liquid accumulation through the suction opening. For use on a textile bottom surface, the sealing lip is preferably designed as a scraping edge, which is stiff or has only a slight flexibility. When used on smooth floors flexible wiper lips are advantageous, which create a line on the floor surface and have a Abstreiffunktion. In a cleaning head, which is to be used universally both on textile floor surfaces and on smooth floors, semi-rigid rubber lips are a compromise.

The opening of the roller chamber is bounded on the underside of housing surface portions which form the underside projecting Saugmundkanten. The distance of the suction mouth edges from the floor surface to be cleaned has an effect on the suction properties during suction of dirt particles and also influences the drying effect of the air flow entering the bottom opening of the roll chamber. With increasing reduction of the distance between the suction mouth edge and the floor surface to be cleaned, the flow velocity of the airflow flowing around the suction mouth edges increases. With increasing flow velocity, both drops and dirt particles can be absorbed and transported. The housing of the cleaning head preferably has rollers for bottom support. This allows a defined distance between the Saugmundkanten and the floor surface to be cleaned are set up. It is also within the scope of the invention that the rollers or floor sliding elements are height-adjustable and the distance of the suction mouth edges from the floor surface can be changed depending on the nature of the floor surface to be cleaned.

The Saugmundkanten can be integrally formed on a lower housing part of the housing or fixed to the lower housing part. A functionally advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the roller chamber consists of a pivotally mounted in the housing insert having angled surface sections with Saugmundkanten. By a pivotable mounting of the roller chamber, the Saugmundkanten adjust during a movement of the cleaning head via a bottom surface to the bottom surface. A slight inclination of the cleaning head, if this is moved over a high-pile carpet, for example, can be compensated by a pivotable mounting of the roller chamber.

The suction opening for sucking off the cleaning agent preferably adjoins a suction mouth edge. Upon movement of the cleaning head over a textile bottom surface, the suction mouth edge rests on the carpet pile, the resulting mechanical movement of the carpet pile reinforcing the suction effect on the adjacent one.

The device for dispensing the cleaning agent has at least one nozzle or outlet opening, which may be arranged in relation to a forward movement of the cleaning head in front of the bottom opening of the roller chamber or within the roller chamber. Preferably, a plurality of outlet openings or nozzles arranged in a row are provided, wherein the Spray jets of the exiting detergent are directed to the surface to be cleaned or the cleaning roller. The suction opening for sucking off the cleaning agent is always arranged behind the bottom-side opening of the roller chamber, based on a forward movement of the cleaning head.

In the context of the invention, it is alternatively also that with respect to a forward movement of the cleaning head on both sides of the bottom opening of the roller chamber slot-shaped suction openings are arranged for sucking the cleaning agent, wherein the suction ports connected to the suction chamber of the housing and at their respective from the opening of the roller chamber applied longitudinal side are limited by a sealing lip. The device for. Dispensing of the cleaning agent has at least one nozzle or outlet opening, which is arranged within the roller chamber. The detergent dispensed within the roller chamber can be sucked off with equal effectiveness both in a forward movement and in a backward movement of the cleaning head, wherein for the suction both contribute an entering through the bottom opening of the roller chamber air flow and the air flows entering through the suction openings arranged parallel thereto. The sealing lips may optionally be connected to a mechanical adjusting device, which raises depending on the direction of movement in each case the front in the direction of movement sealing lip and lower the rear sealing lip. Alternatively, the sealing lips can be alternately stiffened by adjusting movements of stiffening elements or folded away by appropriate adjusting devices. The stiffening elements may for example be designed as a slide, which are each arranged behind a sealing lip and can be moved in and out at the bottom of the housing. By the Adjustment device or by adjustable stiffening elements, a fluid and dirt absorption can be further improved.

The cleaning roller expediently has a trim of spirally arranged rows of bristles. However, in the context of the invention, it should also be the case that the cleaning roller is provided over its entire surface with a suitable cleaning surface, e.g. a plush cover, a foam or the like, is occupied.

It is understood that the device for dispensing the cleaning agent comprises one or more lines, channels or the like for supplying liquid. A metering pump for the promotion of the cleaning agent and a metering valve for quantity adjustment or flow control are preferably housed in the cleaning device to which the cleaning head is connected directly or with the interposition of a suction hose. However, the invention does not exclude that a metering device and / or the metering pumps are also arranged in the cleaning head.

Preferably, the device arranged in the cleaning head for dispensing the cleaning agent has at least one shut-off valve which can be actuated by a switch or sensor arranged on the cleaning head or an external electrical signal. The shut-off valve prevents dripping of cleaning agent when the cleaning head is not in function. The switch or sensor detects, for example, the rotation of the cleaning roller and closes the shut-off valve at a standstill of the cleaning roller. Furthermore, an electrical signal for actuating the shut-off valve can be derived from the operation of the cleaning device or a pressure-controlled pneumatic actuation or control can be provided by the suction vacuum.

The suction opening for sucking off the cleaning agent may have a closure element which can be actuated by a switch or sensor arranged on the cleaning head, a pressure-controlled switching device or by an external electrical signal, and which prevents unwanted dripping of dirty water.

A storage container for the cleaning agent and a collecting container for contaminated cleaning agent is suitably housed in the cleaning device. The detergent container may also be arranged on the cleaning head. This would have the advantage that a conventional vacuum cleaning device can be used as a cleaning device.

For driving the cleaning roller, an electric drive may be provided which is designed for a mains operation and / or a battery operation. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cleaning roller is driven by a turbine which is disposed within the housing of the cleaning head in a subsequent to the roller chamber suction channel and flows around a sucked on the underside of the housing air flow and / or flows through.
