Description

The invention relates to methods for cleaning floors according to the preamble of patent claim 1 and to a floor cleaning machine according to the preamble of patent claim 5.

Today's scrubber-driers are used for wet cleaning of hard floors. The machines have one or more scouring brushes or cleaning elements made of a foam-like material (cleaning pads), which scrub with the addition of water, or a water / detergent mixture adhering dirt on the ground. During the movement of the machine over the dirt, the soiled by the brushes and dissolved by water or a mixture of water / detergent contaminants are sucked up with a arranged in the direction of movement behind the brush squeegee. Scrubber dryness is a cleaning method to remove soil soiling. However, loose debris such as dust, paper, wood particles, or hair, etc. may get under the brushes or cleaning pads, thereby further contaminating the brushes or cleaning pads and adjacent machine parts (such as housings). Often then not all of these loose contaminants can be absorbed with the suction during the scrubber so that a part of it remains lying on the floor and thus a lower cleaning quality is achieved. In order to increase the quality of cleaning, the floor is usually dust-binding wiped with a disposable cloth (wet wipe, Masslinn) or dry mop, swept with a broom, vacuumed with a vacuum cleaner or picked up the loose dirt with a sweeper before scrubbing. This means that two separate cleaning processes have to be carried out in succession in order to achieve optimum cleaning quality and hygiene, which leads to increased time expenditure and additional costs.

A floor cleaning machine comprising a first and a second cleaning zone is known from the document US 7,389,156 [Ziegler et al. ] known. In this case, in the first cleaning zone loose particles by means of an air jet absorbed negative pressure. The second cleaning zone is disposed behind the first cleaning zone, as viewed in a forward direction of travel, and includes a module for spraying a cleaning liquid onto a floor to be cleaned, a scrubbing module, and a squeegee for absorbing the dirty cleaning liquid. This known floor cleaning machine further comprises a tank for the cleaning liquid, a dirt collecting tank and a waste water tank. A disadvantage of this known floor cleaning machine is that easily stuck to the ground particles, dust or hair are not absorbed by in the first cleaning zone or large amounts of local loose dirt can not be absorbed directly by the first cleaning zone and thus enter the second cleaning zone and the In addition, dirty brushes or cleaning pads.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention aims to remedy this situation. The invention has for its object to provide a method for cleaning floors and a floor cleaning machine, which prevents contamination of the cleaning device, in particular a scrubbing device by large amounts of local loose dirt.

The invention achieves the stated object with a method for cleaning floors, which has the features of claim 1, as well as with a floor cleaning machine, which has the features of claim 5.

  • durch das kombinierte Wischen und Absaugen mittels der Vorreinigungsvorrichtung auch leicht am Boden haftende Partikel, Staub, Papier oder Haare bereits vor der Reinigungsvorrichtung, z.B. einer Scheuervorrichtung vom Boden abgesaugt werden, so dass die Bürsten oder Reinigungspads der Reinigungsvorrichtung weniger verschmutzt werden;
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that thanks to the inventive method and the inventive floor cleaning machine:
  • by the combined wiping and suction by means of the precleaner also easily adhering to the ground particles, dust, paper or hair already before the cleaning device, such as a scrubber be sucked from the ground, so that the brushes or cleaning pads of the cleaning device are less polluted;
  • due to the achievable by the rear wiper lip of the front squeegee "storage effect" the loose soils are not absorbed directly have to. This is especially true for a large amount of local loose soils. The rear wiper lip pushes the loose dirt in front of them until they are finally sucked by the vacuum in the suction channel of the front squeegee. The loose soils may initially accumulate in the area of the rear wiper lip of the front squeegee; and
  • compared to pure scrubber a significantly better cleaning quality can be achieved.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention can be commented on as follows:
In a special embodiment of the method, under step A), the wiping of a floor is carried out by means of two wiper lips arranged at a distance from one another on the floor cleaning machine. These embodiments are particularly suitable for absorbing coarse contaminants, such as metal chips, wood residues, coarse paper remnants, broken glass or organic residues from kitchen areas.

In another embodiment, the two wiper lips are disposed on a squeegee and adjacent to a suction channel disposed in the suction channel adjacent a rear and a front wiper lip.

Preferably, in the operation of the floor cleaning machine, the scraper device and the rear scraper lip of the squeegee define a virtual plane, the front scraper lip being spaced from the virtual plane by a height h in a vertical direction, or the virtual plane in a transversal direction (B) perpendicular to the advancing direction (A) ) considered only partially touched.

In a specific embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the front squeegee additionally comprises a front wiper lip, wherein the scrubber, the rear squeegee and the rear squeegee of the front squeegee define a virtual plane during operation of the floor cleaning machine and the front wiper lip in a vertical direction from the virtual plane Height h is spaced or the virtual plane in a direction of forward movement (A) vertical Transverse direction considered only partially touched. Thus, the advantages are achievable that the vacuum in the suction channel of the front squeegee can be amplified and the front wiper lip in large amounts of local loose dirt this pushes before them until they are sucked by the vacuum in the suction channel of the front squeegee. The achievable already by the rear wiper lip of the front squeegee "storage effect" is thus enhanced, so that the loose dirt must not be absorbed directly. Furthermore, easily adhering to the ground dirt can be loosened by the front wiper lip and thus already sucked by the pre-cleaning device from the ground.

In einer anderen Ausführungsform der Bodenreinigungsmaschine beträgt die Höhe h mindestens 1 mm, vorzugsweise mindestens 0,5 mm.In another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the height h is at least 1 mm, preferably at least 0.5 mm.

Als typischer Wert für die Höhe h gilt 1 mm.In a further embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the height h is at most 12 mm, preferably at most 10 mm. The typical value for height h is 1 mm.

In yet another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the front wiper lip in the transverse direction B comprises a plurality of contiguous or spaced recesses. Large or close depressions are suitable for absorbing coarse soils, e.g. Metal chips, wood residues from production environments, coarse paper scraps, broken glass, organic residues from kitchen areas. Wells, which form smaller openings, allow a greater vacuum in the suction channel of the front suction bar. This is particularly suitable for high cleaning requirements, e.g. in hospitals.

In another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the front squeegee is connected by means of a fourth pipe or hose via a branch pipe with the second pipe or hose and via this with the vacuum pump. This provides the advantage that only one vacuum pump is needed to operate the machine.

In another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the scrubbing device comprises a housing, wherein the rear and front squeegee are integrated into the housing or releasably secured to the housing.

In yet another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the rear squeegee is secured to the floor cleaning machine, preferably on the housing, by means of an elastic connecting device so as to allow movement of the rear squeegee in the transverse direction B relative to the scrubbing device against a resistance provided by the resilient connection device.

In a further embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the scrubbing device comprises at least one rotatable brush or a cleaning element made of a foam-like material.

In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Bodenreinigungsmaschine beträgt der Saugluftvolumenstrom im Saugkanal der vorderen Saugleiste mindestens 1 l/s, vorzugsweise mindestens 3 l/s.In a further embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the suction air volume flow in the suction channel of the front squeegee is at least 1 l / s, preferably at least 3 l / s.

In einer anderen Ausführungsform der Bodenreinigungsmaschine beträgt der Saugluftvolumenstrom im Saugkanal der vorderen Saugleiste höchstens 50 l/s, vorzugsweise höchstens 20 l/s.In another embodiment of the floor cleaning machine, the suction air volume flow in the suction channel of the front squeegee is at most 50 l / s, preferably at most 20 l / s.

The invention and further developments of the invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the partially schematic representations of an embodiment.

In the Fig. 1 - 4th and 6 is an example and not limiting an embodiment of the inventive floor cleaning machine 1 shown, which is designed as a scrubber and includes as a main cleaning device 6, a scrubbing device 10 and additionally a pre-cleaning device 5. The floor cleaning machine 1 is movable in a forward movement direction A and essentially comprises a scrubbing device 10, which can be brought to rest on a floor to be cleaned 7, a first tank 11 for a cleaning liquid, to which a first pipe or hose 16 for discharging the cleaning liquid is connected in the region of the scrubbing device 10, a suction device 12 and a pre-cleaning device 5, which is arranged in front of the scrubbing device 10 as viewed in the forward movement direction A. The suction device 12 is used for sucking off dirty water and comprises a second tank 13 for the dirty water and arranged downstream of a rear squeegee 14, which is arranged in the forward movement direction A of the floor cleaning machine 1 behind the scrubbing device 10, and a vacuum pump 15 (FIGS. Fig. 6 ), which by means of a second pipe or Hose line 17 is connected to the rear squeegee 14 and by means of a third pipe or hose connection 18 with the second tank 13.

The pre-cleaning device 5 comprises a front suction strip 20 (FIG. 3 and 4 ) with a suction channel 29, which is bounded by a front wiper lip 27 and a rear wiper lip 28, the rear wiper lip 28 is viewed in the forward direction of movement A behind the suction channel 29 and at the same time with the scrubbing device 10 and the rear squeegee 14 on a cleaning soil 7 can be brought to the plant.

The front squeegee 20 is by means of a fourth pipe or hose 23 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) via a branch pipe 25 with the second pipe or hose 17 and connected via this with the vacuum pump 15.

The scrubber device 10, the rear squeegee 14 and the rear wiper lip 28 of the front squeegee 20 define during operation of the floor cleaning machine 1 a resting on the floor 7 virtual plane 21 (FIG. Fig. 1 ), wherein the front wiper lip 27 is, by way of example and not limitation, spaced apart from the virtual plane 21 in a vertical direction by a height h, ie it does not touch the bottom 7 (FIG. 3 and 4 ).

In the Fig. 5a - 5f For example, different embodiments of the front wiper lip 27 are shown.

In Fig. 5e an embodiment is shown in which the lower end 31 of the front wiper lip 27 is spaced from the virtual plane 21, and the bottom 7 by a height h, so that between the lower end 31 of the front wiper lip 27, a gap 32 with the height h is formed, wherein the height h is exemplarily between 0.5 mm and 10 mm, preferably 1 mm.

Alternatively, the front wiper lip 27 may have a serrated profile in a transverse direction B perpendicular to the advancing direction A (FIG. Fig. 5a - 5c and 5f ) or a profile with slots or slats ( Fig. 5d ) exhibit. The lower end 31 of the front squeegee 27 can not at all or only partially on the floor. 7 lie so that the lower end 31 of the front wiper lip 27 does not touch the virtual plane 21 or, viewed in the transverse direction B, only in sections ( Fig. 5a-5d and 5f ). Thereby, a continuous or non-continuous gap is formed between the lower end 31 of the front wiper lip 27 and the bottom 7.

In the in the Fig. 5a - 5d and 5f In embodiments shown, the front wiper lip 27 includes recesses 22 which penetrate from the lower end 31 of the front wiper lip 27 to a depth T in the latter. The depressions 22 may be illustrative and not restrictive triangular ( Fig. 5a, 5b, 5d ), rectangular ( Fig. 5c ) or semicircular ( Fig. 5f ) be formed. Further, the recesses 22 may be contiguous in the transverse direction B ( Fig. 5a ) or spaced apart ( Fig. 5b - 5d and 5f ) can be arranged. In the in the Fig. 5a - 5d and 5f As shown, the front wiper lip 27 profiles may contact or be spaced apart from the tips or portions between the recesses 22.

In particular, the in the Fig. 5a, 5b and 5f illustrated embodiments for the absorption of coarse dirt, such as metal chips, wood residues, coarse paper residues, glass splinters or organic residues from kitchen areas. Due to the openings formed in the front wiper lip 27 by the recesses 22, however, the vacuum in the suction channel 29 is lower than in the embodiment according to FIGS Fig. 5e ,

In the Fig. 5c illustrated embodiment includes rectangular recesses 22, whose depth T is approximately the height h in the embodiment according to Fig. 5e so that the openings formed by the recesses 22 have an overall cross-sectional area which is opposite to that through the gap 32 (FIG. Fig. 5e ) formed cross-sectional area is reduced, so that in the suction channel 29, a stronger vacuum is generated. The embodiment according to Fig. 5c is therefore particularly suitable for high cleaning requirements, eg in hospitals.

In the Fig. 5d embodiment shown has in the transverse direction B viewed on a profile with fins, wherein the fins are formed by the recesses 22. This embodiment is suitable for finer contamination.

Furthermore, according to the embodiment according to Fig. 5c the vacuum in the suction channel 29 are increased again, whereby a better extraction of very fine particles can be achieved.

Through the gap 32 ( Fig. 5e ) or depressions 22 (FIG. Fig. 5a - 5d and 5f ) arrive during the movement of the floor cleaning machine 1 in the forward movement direction A, the loose dirt in the suction channel 29 ( Fig. 4 ) of the front squeegee 20, so that the loose soils are absorbed before the scrubbing device 10 is used.

Suitable materials for the front and rear wiper lips 27, 28 are elastomers, polyurethane or rubber, typically polyurethane is used.

The floor cleaning machine 1 can be designed as a completely autonomous cleaning machine, as a manually moved by a user or powered by a motor cleaning machine. In this case, embodiments of the floor cleaning machine 1, which are driven by a motor, be designed as Aufsitzmaschinen with steering wheel or alternatively be controlled by means of a remote control.

By way of example and not limitation is in the Fig. 1 and 6 an embodiment of the floor cleaning machine 1 is shown, which two lateral wheels 9, which are arranged behind the scrubbing device 10 viewed in the forward movement direction A, and a chassis 2 includes. By way of example, the floor cleaning machine 1 can be equipped with a handle bar 33, which is suitable for moving the floor cleaning machine 1. The handlebar 33 may be elongated member and secured to the chassis 2 so that the handlebar 33 allows the floor cleaning machine 1 to be manually displaced in a forward and reverse direction. In various embodiments of the floor cleaning machine 1 according to the invention, the scrubbing unit 10 may comprise one or more brushes 19 or pads (cleaning pads, scouring pads). Exemplary, but not limiting, is that in the Fig. 1 to 4 and 6 illustrated embodiment of the floor cleaning machine 1 equipped with a two brushes 19 comprehensive scrubbing device 10. The two brushes 19 are rotatable attached to a housing 26. The housing 26 is attached to the chassis 2 on the underside 3 by way of example. The brushes 19 are each rotatable about a rotation axis. For example, but not limited to, the brushes 19 may be arranged so that their axes of rotation extend vertically on opposite sides of a vertical median plane and substantially vertically to the advancing direction A of the floor cleaning machine 1. Alternatively, the one or more brushes 19 may be arranged so that their axes of rotation extend horizontally in the transverse direction B of the floor cleaning machine 1.

The floor cleaning machine 1 comprises a first electric drive motor 35 mounted on the upper side 4 of the chassis 2 for driving the vacuum pump 15 and also mounted on the upper side 4 of the chassis 2, a second and third electric drive motor 36, 37 each for driving one of the two brushes 19. Die Floor cleaning machine 1 may be equipped with a battery (not shown), preferably a lithium-ion battery, to supply the electric drive motors with electrical energy. The two brushes 19 can rotate in opposite directions of rotation.

By way of example and not limitation, the first tank 11 is configured as a fresh water tank and the second tank 13 is configured as a water recovery tank. Further, the first tank 11 can be detachably attached to the chassis 2 by means of a quick-attaching device, and the second tank 13 can be detachably attached to the elongate member of the handlebar 33 by means of a quick-fastening device. The first tank 11, ie the fresh water tank is via a first pipe or hose 16 ( Fig. 1 ) each with a nozzle 38 ( Fig. 2 ), so that water from the first tank 11 via a respective nozzle 38 to a brush 19 can flow.

The rear squeegee 14 is exemplary and not limiting by means of an elastic connection device 30 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) is attached to the housing 26 so that movement of the rear squeegee 14 in the transverse direction B relative to the scrubbing device 10 against a resistance provided by the elastic connection device 30 is made possible.

By way of example, the resilient connection device 30 may comprise an elongated carrier 39 having a first end secured to the rear squeegee 14 and a second end secured to the housing 26 by means of a resilient connection member 40. The elastic connecting part 40 preferably forms a pivot joint, which is fastened to the housing 26 by means of a fastening element, wherein the pivot joint has an axis of rotation extending vertically with respect to the forward movement direction A of the floor cleaning machine 1. The elastic connecting part 40 may be made of plastic or rubber. The outer periphery of the resilient connection member 40 may be polygonal to prevent rotation between the resilient connection member 40 and the elongate support 39, or may be rotationally fixedly secured to the elongate support 39 by means of an adhesive or other means known to those skilled in the art.
