Die Hauptmenge des Reinigungsmittels wird jedoch durch die Saugöffnung abgesaugt, die erfindungsgemäß zu der bodenseitigen Öffnung der Walzenkammer benachbart ist und an ihrer von der Öffnung der Walzenkammer abgewandten Längsseite von einer Dichtungslippe begrenzt ist. An der Dichtungslippe sammelt sich Flüssigkeit, die auf dem Boden haftet und dann als Flüssigkeitsansammlung wirksam durch die Saugöffnung abgesaugt werden kann. Für die Anwendung auf einer textilen Bodenfläche ist die Dichtungslippe vorzugsweise als Schabkante ausgebildet, die steif ist oder nur eine geringe Flexibilität aufweist. Die Dichtungslippen können optional an eine mechanische Stelleinrichtung angeschlossen sein, die in Abhängigkeit der Bewegungsrichtung jeweils die in Bewegungsrichtung vordere Dichtungslippe anhebt und die hintere Dichtungslippe absenkt. Alternativ können die Dichtungslippen durch Stellbewegungen von Versteifungselementen wechselweise versteift oder durch entsprechende Stellvorrichtungen weggeklappt werden. Die Versteifungselemente können beispielsweise als Schieber ausgebildet sein, die jeweils hinter einer Dichtungslippe angeordnet sind und an der Unterseite des Gehäuses ein- und ausgefahren werden können.
