Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Flächenbrenner (1) mit einer Verteilerplatte (5) und einer Brenneroberfläche, die zumindest ein erstes Faser-Gewirk (3) aufweist, und mit einer Mischkammer, aus der ein Brennstoff-Luft-Gemisch durch die Verteilerplatte zur Brenneroberfläche geführt ist. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Überwachung einer definierten Flammenbildung bei einem derartigen Flächenbrenner.
Es ist Aufgabe der Erfindung, im Überwachungsbereich eine definierte Flammenbildung zu erreichen, um eine genaue Überwachung und insbesondere Luftzahlregelung zu ermöglichen.
Gekennzeichnet ist der erfindungsgemäße Flächenbrenner dadurch, dass die Verteilerplatte einen Überwachungsbereich (4) und einen Hauptbereich (6) aufweist, wobei das Brennstoff-Luft-Gemisch im Hauptbereich das erste Faser-Gewirk durchströmt und im Überwachungsbereich vom ersten Faser-Gewirk unbeeinflusst ist. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine Flammenbildung in einem Überwachungsbereich insbesondere mit einer Überwachungselektrode (14) überwacht wird, wobei ein Brennstoff-Luft-Gemisch im Überwachungsbereich an einem ersten Faser-Gewirk, das einen Hauptbereich überdeckt, vorbei geführt wird.
