- connector device In addition, embodiments of the connector device will be described. These also apply to the semi-finished connector, for the connection arrangement, for the method, for the vehicle and for use.
- bending lines along which the plate is bent may be aligned parallel to an extension direction of the male elements starting from the main body.
- the extension direction of the male elements is defined by the largest dimension of the male elements starting from the main body.
- the extension direction corresponds to the plugging direction of the plug device when inserted into a printed circuit board.
- the bending lines may be (in particular virtual or imaginary) straight axes on the plate, which serve as bending axes for at least partially congruent superimposition of corresponding male members by bending the plate.
- the bending lines can also be, for example, perforated or locally thinned; in particular, a bending line can provide a desired bending point, on which the semi-finished product can preferably be plastically deformed in particular.
- the plate may be bent along two bending lines which are parallel to each other and each offset laterally relative to a center of gravity (in particular a center of gravity) of the mounting region, wherein the center of gravity is arranged geometrically between the two bending lines.
- these two bending lines may be symmetrical relative to one another with respect to the center of mass of the fastening region or a center of gravity of the plate.
- the two bending lines are chosen such that the bending of a piece of the plate around this bending line leads to the at least partial congruence of associated male element pairs. With four Einsteckelementcruen it comes to forming two associated bending lines.
- a third bendline may result from crimping a fastener area by bending corresponding components of the panel about this bending direction.
- a first end region of the plate can be bent in a U-shaped manner, with which the two of the first insertion elements lie opposite the two other first insertion elements.
- a second end portion of the plate can be bent in a U-shape, whereby the two of the second plug-in elements are opposite to the two other second plug-in elements.
- a U-shaped bend substantially corresponds to a 180 ° deflection of a plate area, thus dividing a formerly flat area of the plate into two areas parallel to and spaced from each other and connected together by a U-shaped bend portion.
- the two bent end portions form flat end portions that are directed towards each other or show clearly, but are arranged at a predeterminable distance from each other.
- a substantially annular structure is then defined by the base body, which can be accommodated in a receiving opening of an associated housing, for example made of plastic, to save space.
- the plate as part of the plate by forming at least two recess lines (in particular punched lines) in the plate at least one clamping strip for clamping the connector device in a housing formed (in particular separated).
- Such clamping strips are used for receiving and securing the substantially annular structure of the curved base body in a housing, for example made of plastic.
- a plastically bendable clamping strip is defined, which then inserts by a clamping or spring force Fixing the connector device in a housing allows.
- a clamping strip may be formed on each of the two bent end regions of the plate, so that the two clamping strips protrude in the same direction relative to the plate.
- the clamping strips can represent mutually parallel plane sections.
- the two clamping strips are clearly in a common plane and thus secure a fixation of the connector device in a housing in two places.
- the plate may be bent such that the two of the first male elements are in contact with the other two of the first male elements, in particular in pairs, and that the two of the second male elements are in contact with the other two of the second male elements.
- the plug device may have an integer multiple of two plug-in elements, in particular an integer multiple of four plug-in elements, furthermore in particular exactly eight plug-in elements.
- the straightness of the male members ensures that each pair of male members can form a resilient contact element.
- the provision of the male multiples of four ensures that each two pairs of male members for forming a pair of contact springs can be associated with each other and inserted into a common contact hole.
- the provision of exactly eight male elements in the connector device has proven to be sufficiently high current capable and vibration robust, at the same time the connector device can then be made very compact.
- the plastically bendable electrically conductive plate may be formed in one piece and / or einstoffig.
- the plastically bendable electrically conductive plate may be composed of several partial plates of different thicknesses and / or different materials (for example by means of a stamping and / or riveting connection).
- the attachment region may be configured as a crimpable crimping portion.
- the male elements can be configured as crimp contacts.
- crimp connection is a stable, flexible and With reasonable effort feasible connection with a wire or cable allows.
- crimping or crimping is meant a joining process in which two components are joined together by plastic deformation.
- the crimp contacts may include a crimped crimping section (for attaching a wire or cable) and an elastically pluggable section (for direct plugging onto a printed circuit board).
- the crimpable crimping portion and the male members may be formed of different materials.
- the crimped crimping portion and the elastically pluggable portion (male member) may be formed of different materials.
- the crimped crimping portion may be formed with a thinner material thickness than the sum of the thicknesses of the two at least partially congruent opposing male members.
- the plate in the region of the crimping section, the plate can then have the same (alternatively a different) thickness as in the region of the insertion elements.
- the plug-in zone is thicker for reasons of mechanical stability and power transmission in the plated through-hole of the printed circuit board.
- the plate in the crimpable crimping section may have a thickness in a range between about 0.1 mm and about 0.7 mm, in particular a thickness in a range between about 0.3 mm and about 0.5 mm.
- the at least partially congruent opposing male members together have a thickness in a range between about 0.5 mm and about 1.1 mm, in particular a thickness in a range between about 0.7 mm and about 0.9 mm.
- each of the male members may have a male portion, wherein the male portion is the portion of the male members that is within the respective contact hole when the male members are inserted in the respective contact hole.
- the male members may be elastically deformable relative to the main body independently of each other and be arranged such that, when the male members are inserted in the respective contact hole, a plug connection of the connector device to the printed circuit board is available.
- Each of the male members may have a free end.
- the end portion which has each of the male elements, can for example extend beyond the insertion portion of the male, so that in an inserted state of the connector device in the contact hole on the opposite side of the body relative to the circuit board, the end portion with the free end of the male from the protrudes respective contact hole.
- the end portion or the free end of the male member in the insertion direction may protrude from the respective contact hole when the connector device is inserted in the contact hole.
- each male between the male and the main body may have an intermediate portion.
- the intermediate portion in an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the base body does not rest directly on a surface of the printed circuit board, so that in the insertion direction the male members initially have the intermediate portion. Subsequent to the intermediate section in the insertion direction, the insertion section of the insertion elements extends, which is closed, for example, by the end section of the insertion element.
- the insertion section has at least partially the transmission area.
- the insertion portion of the male member may, for example, with a conductive layer be coated.
- the male members or the entire connector device may consist of an electrically conductive material. Areas that should not transmit power can be coated with an insulating layer. Since the insertion portion is already in contact with the inner surface of the contact hole due to the generation of the connector or the press connection, the transmission area can be provided simultaneously without further structural design.
- the insertion portion of each male element has at least one convexly extending surface.
- the convexly extending surface is formed in particular on the side of the male elements, which aligns in the inserted state of the male elements in the direction of the inner surface of the contact holes.
- At least two of the four male elements per contact hole are at least partially mutually opposed.
- these can mutually support and stabilize, so that a higher mechanical load capacity can be provided.
- these can still in the other Be free to move directions and spread at different locations in the contact hole.
- At least two male members are spaced by a gap.
- the male elements which are separated by a gap, can deform elastically in the direction of the gap.
- the insertion elements can deform elastically during insertion into the respective contact hole in the direction of the gap, so that the plug device can be inserted into the contact hole by means of the insertion elements.
- the male elements form, so to speak, interspace-free thighs.
- Their outer sides facing away from each other can optionally be designed, for example, convexly curved. By such a curvature, an undesirable spreading of the legs in contact with a flat surface can be avoided.
- an elastic pluggability can be achieved.
- the base body has a stop region.
- the stop area is set up in such a way that insertion of the male elements into the respective contact hole can be limited by the stop area.
- the stop area prevents, for example, further insertion of the plug device in the insertion direction.
- the stop region can be produced for example by a survey or a bulge on the base body, so that the main body with the stopper area, for example, has a larger diameter than the contact hole.
- the cross section with the stopper area can not be passed through the contact hole, so that automatically a stop is available.
- the stop region can also be formed on at least one male element, in particular in the intermediate region or intermediate section of the male element.
- the base body rests against a surface of the printed circuit board, but only the stop area of one of the male elements.
- a stop area as a positioning aid can make it easier for a user to intuitively make the insertion between male and PCB in a correct manner and thus to avoid electrical malfunction.
- the stop area thus serves to limit the insertion of the plug device in the circuit board.
- the stop area or spacer may define a minimum distance between the circuit board and the connector device, thus preventing, for example, the formation of unwanted electrical contacts or the skipping of an electrical signal across a thin gap.
- the elastic deformability of the male members can be achieved by having at least two of the three male members have a gap between each other, which can be elastically deformed in the direction of the gap, these male members. By a return force against the gap direction, the male elements can then be pressed against an inner surface of the respective contact hole, so that a press connection can be provided.
- the distance between at least two male elements along their directions of extension is inconstant.
- each male member has a rounded surface.
- At least one male element has an expansion at one end section.
- the end portion has the free end of the male member and protrudes out of the contact hole in the insertion direction, when the male member is inserted in the contact hole.
- the widening is formed at the end portion such that the widening is wedged or jammed with a surface of the printed circuit board when the male member is inserted in the respective contact hole.
- the expansion may be formed as a survey and form an undercut, which extends substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction. In other words, the widening (undercut) may extend parallel to a surface plane of the printed circuit board and thus be substantially perpendicular to the inner surface of the contact hole.
- the expansion prevents movement of the plug device counter to the insertion by the expansion abuts a surface of the circuit board and thus prevents further movement of the male against the insertion.
- the male members may be compressed during insertion into the contact hole, for example, so that the cross-section of all male members including the widening have a smaller diameter than the respective contact hole. If the male members are inserted into the contact hole, the male members move back to their original position due to their elastic deformability, so that the press connection between the male members and the contact hole can form.
- an inserted state of the plug device in the respective contact hole is usually on a surface side of the circuit board of the main body or in particular the paragraph on.
- the male elements On the opposite surface of the circuit board, the male elements with their end portions of the protrude respective contact hole. In these end portions, the widening is formed, which wedges or jams with this surface of the circuit board, thus preventing a loosening of the connector device opposite to the insertion direction.
- plug device may be formed from a single stamped and bent electrically conductive plate.
- the connector device can be formed with very little production effort, since no other components are required in addition to a metal plate or the like.
- the semifinished product or the finished connector device can be made in one piece from a piece of sheet metal by punching and bending.
- Such an integral embodiment of the plug element of a piece of sheet metal leads to very low costs.
- a plug-in element can also be formed from a plurality of components, for example in order to integrate further functions.
- At least one of the first and / or at least one of the second plug-in elements may each have a locking mechanism, in particular a barb locking mechanism, which is set up to lock the plug device to the printed circuit board when the plug device is passed through the respective contact hole.
- a locking mechanism in particular a barb locking mechanism
- it may be sufficient to push through the connector device through the contact holes of the circuit board, whereby the locking mechanism is automatically locked to one or more of the male members, ie, without the intervention of a user to the circuit board. This allows a high level of user comfort and a vibration-robust connector.
- the locking mechanism may be configured to unlock the connector device from the printed circuit board when the male elements are compressed and when the connector device is withdrawn from the contact holes.
- a simple unlocking can be made possible by an inverse for locking movement, that is, compression of the male and subsequent extraction of the connector device from the circuit board.
- Such a locking mechanism may have a reversible characteristic, i. can essentially be unlocked or locked as often as desired. This can be done by a locking and unlocking, which disregards a plastic deformation of the male and instead elastically deforms the male elements during locking and unlocking.
- a first of the first and a first of the second male members may consist of the male portion located within the respective contact hole when the respective male members are inserted in the respective contact hole.
- a second of the first and a second of the second male members may have the male portion located inside the respective contact hole when the male members are inserted in the respective contact hole, and has an arc portion extending from the male portion through the respective contact hole extends to the male portion of the first of the respective male members and is separated therefrom by a gap.
- the size of the gap can initially be reduced during the insertion of the connector device in the circuit board and increased again after emergence of the arc section of the circuit board.
- the first and second male members may form a cooperating pair. Due to the bow portion can catching the plug device at Plugging into a circuit board can be avoided.
- the combination of the two male members ensures both reversible locking and stable anchoring of the male connector in a contact hole of a printed circuit board.
- an end portion of the arcuate portion when inserted into the circuit board may be resiliently passed through the contact hole and spring back after passing through the contact hole, whereby the connector device is lockable by means of the end portion of the circuit board.
- the arcuate section passes through the contact hole, it is compressed inwardly by a lateral boundary of the contact hole. After coming out of the circuit board this compressive force is eliminated, so that the arc portion can spring back to the outside, and thereby the locking is ensured.
- the first male member may be configured as a convex arc.
- a corresponding concave portion of the arcuate portion is arranged with respect to the convex first insertion portion so as to prevent mutual entanglement and allow mutual slippage.
- convex and concave refer to outwardly acting surface areas of the plug device, in particular surface areas of the plug device, which face a contact hole wall during insertion of the plug device into a contact hole of a printed circuit board.
- the arcuate portion may comprise two opposing elongated portions which are interconnected by a curved arc which faces the male portions of the first and second of the male members.
- the two elongated areas and the connecting them arc form a substantially U-shape.
- further of the male elements may be formed in the connector device, so that they are configured in part as the first male element and the other part as the second male element. Therefore, the above embodiments of the first and second male members apply equally to these male members.
- a contact element with a fork press (Forkpress) and a self-locking function is provided.
- a corresponding connector device can be used in many technical fields, for example in the automotive sector, in the industrial sector, in the computer sector, and as a telecommunications connector.
- a connector device according to an exemplary embodiment fuses, connectors, relays, capacitors, resistors, varistors, etc. can be plugged directly into a circuit board and locked to each contact element by means of a self-locking mechanism. A release of the compound can be done by means of a simple tool or even by hand.
- the printed circuit board may be provided with a first electrically conductive contacting layer in the first contact hole and with a second electrically conductive contacting layer in the second contact hole.
- These contacting layers may be metallic structured layers on the printed circuit board formed, for example, from plastic (for example FR4, epoxy resin impregnated glass fiber mats) and provided with the contact holes.
- the first electrically conductive contacting layer and the second electrically conductive contacting layer may be electrically coupled to each other. Then, a common electrical supply or payload signal may be transmitted from the conductor to both (or even more than two) vias.
- the connector device can contact the printed circuit board in the contact hole without solder by means of the electrically conductive contacting layer.
- a reliable and continuous electrical coupling can be achieved only by the resilient attachment of the Einsteckabête to the plating in the contact holes, without the need for a complex solder joint.
- a plug assembly of a plug device having the features described above and a mold wherein the mold is configured to compress the plug device latched to the circuit board, thereby unlocking the plug device latched to the circuit board.
- a barbed lock on the one hand ensures a firm grip, but on the other hand, it can also be released again.
- the solubility can be achieved with a corresponding molding tool, which is placed and the or the barbs deformed so far that a lock is no longer given.
- the male connector e.g., the press connection
- a plug-in capability or removability of the plug device can thus be provided "by hand".
- insertability or removability of the plug element "by hand” may be understood in the context of this description, in particular, that the insertion and removal forces are sufficiently low even with provision of multiple male elements that they can be applied by the muscle power of an average adult human user.
- the connector device can be manually inserted by a human user directly into the corresponding contact holes of the circuit board, without a separate socket would be required between plug-in device and circuit board, as is the case with conventional high-current connection arrangements.
- the vehicle is, for example, a motor vehicle, a passenger vehicle, a truck, a bus, an agricultural vehicle, a baler, a combine harvester, a self-propelled sprayer, a road construction machine, a tractor, an aircraft, an aircraft, a helicopter, a spaceship, a zeppelin, a watercraft, a ship, a rail vehicle or a train, the vehicle having the connector device or the connection arrangement with the features described above.

- FIG. 6 An in FIG. 6 shown plug blank 600 as a basis for producing a connector device according to another embodiment of the The invention differs from the semi-finished connector 500 according to FIG. 5 essentially only by the configuration of the male elements.
- the semi-finished connector 600 two different types of male members are provided, which are described in more detail below.
- FIG. 7 shows the result after having taken along the bend lines 502, 504 and 506 (corresponding to the description of FIG. 1 to FIG. 5 ) folded or bent plug semi-finished product 600 has been bent to a plug device 700 according to an exemplary embodiment, wherein in FIG. 7 already shown the state in which this connector device 700 is inserted into a circuit board 150.
- the contacts 156 are continuously provided, so that by means of the contacts 156 a jointly conductive region of the printed circuit board 150 is contacted in an ohmic manner with the connector device 700.
- the connector device 700 is for electrically connecting a conductor which is engageable by crimped tabs 601 (corresponding to FIG FIG. 3 shown), arranged with the printed circuit board 150 shown in cross section.
- the connector device 700 has four pairs of male members 602, 604 (see Fig. 6 ).
- the total of eight male members 602, 604 are introduced together after a corresponding bending of the semi-finished connector 600 into the two contact holes 152, 154 of the printed circuit board 150 and thereby resiliently compressed in the direction of a respective central axis 620.
- male portions 606 of the male members 602, 604 abut an electrically conductive contact 156 at the contact holes 152, 154 in the printed circuit board 150, they push Insertion portions 606 outwardly and thus make an electrically conductive connection between the male portions 606 and the electrically conductive contact 156 while exerting a spring force. Occurs one end of the male elements 604 from the respective contact hole 152, 154 and thus out of the circuit board 150, so the male 604 are no longer compressed and relax by moving to the outside. This leads to a locking effect.
- one of the male members 604 itself has an underlying locking mechanism. This is based on that when passing a part of the connector device 700 through the contact holes 152, 154 for attaching the connector device 700 to the circuit board 150, the connector device 700 is locked to the circuit board 150 by means of resilient barbs. The locking mechanism is unlocked by again compressing the male members 604 and subsequently withdrawing the male connector 700 from the contact holes 152, 154 of the PCB 602. Thus, a reversible and therefore any number of times usable locking logic is created.
- a first of the male members 602 consists of a convex male portion 606 located within the respective contact hole 152, 154 and in direct contact with the electrically conductive contact 156 when the male members 602, 604 are inserted into the respective contact hole 152, 154.
- a second of the male members 604 has a male portion 606 extending from the main body 105 as well as the male portion 606 of the first male 602. Also, the male portion 606 of the second male 604 is within the respective contact hole 152, 154 when the male members 602 , 604 in the respective Contact hole 152, 154 are introduced.
- the second male member 604 further includes an arcuate portion 608 which extends from the male portion 606 a short distance through the respective contact hole 152, 154 back to the male portion 606 of the respective male member 602 and is separated therefrom by a narrow gap of variable size , If the male elements 604 are laterally compressed by insertion into the respective contact hole 152, 154, the size of the gap is also reduced. Springs after insertion of the connector device 700 in the circuit board 150, the male elements 604 back, so the size of the gap increases again until the resilient system is again in a power-free state. Thus, the size of the gap during the insertion of the connector device 700 in the circuit board 150 initially decreases and increases after emergence of the arc portion 608 from the circuit board 150 again.
- the locking mechanism is formed by a barb formed at a position of the substantially pear-shaped structure of the male members 602, 604, at which position the contiguous structure of the male members 602, 604 by means of a gap 800 (see FIG FIG. 8 ) is interrupted.
- the position of the connector device 700 relative to the circuit board 150 may be defined, for example, via a stopper area 720.
- the stopper portion 720 may be, for example, a protrusion which extends from a respective one of the male members 602, 604 in parallel with a surface of the printed circuit board 150. This increases the diameter of the area of the plug device 700 at which the stop area 720 is defined, so that this area with the stop area 720 no longer extends through the respective contact hole 152, 154 passes through and thus a further movement can be prevented.
- FIG. 8 shows an enlarged view of a portion of the connector device 700 and an associated mold 804.
- a freely movable and rounded end portion 604d of the arc portion 608 is resiliently compressible upon insertion of the connector device 700 in the circuit board 150 and through the respective contact hole 152, 154 feasible and springs after passing through the respective contact hole 152, 154 to the outside, whereby the connector device 700 is automatically locked by means of the end portion 604 d to the circuit board 150.
- the rounded end portion 604d of the arc portion 608 forms a concave portion adjacent to the convex insertion portion 606 of the first one of the male members 602.
- the arcuate portion 608 further includes two opposing elongated portions 604a, 604c extending parallel to one another and interconnected by an arc 604b spaced from the male portions 606 of the first and second male members 602, 604 by the elongate portions 604a, 604c ,
- a total of four pairs of male members 602, 604 are provided. These are in the folded state of the semi-finished connector 600, which in Fig. 7 is shown, so arranged relative to each other, that the locking mechanism forms after insertion of the connector device 700 in the circuit board 150 at two opposite regions of the contact hole 152 and at two opposite portions of the contact hole 154 each have two barbs, a pulling off the connector device 700 of the circuit board 150 in a symmetrical manner prevention.

- the corresponding symmetry axis corresponds to that in Fig. 7
- the insertion elements 602, 602 provided per contact hole 152, 154 are axially symmetrical with respect to each other, wherein the corresponding axis of symmetry of the in Fig. 7 shown center axis 620 corresponds.
- the male members 602, 604 are touching each other and are partially arranged congruently one above the other.
- movable limbs can be obtained by a folding of the plug semi-finished product 600, which can move during insertion of the connector device 700 in the contact holes 152, 154 of the circuit board 150 to the outside (see position 1).
- the latching hook 604c, 604d of the arcuate portion 608 has resilient properties and snaps to correct placement on the circuit board 150 (see position 2).
- the bore edge of the circuit board 150 can be seen as position 3.
