Da der Bogen 6 erst dann feinausgerichtet werden kann, wenn der Greiferwagen 8 mit seinen Greifern 80 die Bogentransportebene E durchlaufen hat, ist es entscheidend, dass der Greiferwagen 8 - in Bogentransportrichtung T betrachtet - möglichst weit stromabwärtig die Bogentransportebene erreicht und durchläuft, d.h. schneidet. Dann ist das Zeitfenster am größten, welches für die Durchführung der Feinpositionierung zur Verfügung steht und durch die Weiterbewegung des Greiferwagens 8, also den Maschinentakt, begrenzt wird. Damit wird eine genauestmögliche Ausrichtung des Bogens 6 gestattet und ein passergenaues Bearbeiten der Bogen 6 in den nachfolgenden Bearbeitungsstationen 2, 3, 4 der Bogenstanzmaschine 100 bewirkt.In Fig. 4b the situation is shown when the gripper carriage 8 is retracted with its grippers 80 in the sheet transfer point U and was stopped there. Claims (3)

  1. A method for transferring sheets (6), in particular of paper, cardboard or plastic, at a sheet transfer point (U) from a sheet feeder (1) of a sheet punching and/or embossing machine (100) to grippers (80) of intermittently rotating gripper carriages (8) of a sheet transport system (7) of the sheet punching and/or embossing machine (100), wherein each gripper (80) has a gripper pad (81) and a gripper arm (82), comprising the following steps:
    a) feeding a sheet (6) by the sheet feeder (1),
    b) opening the grippers (80) of a gripper carriage (8) by moving (v) lower gripper pads (81) in a retracted position,
    c) conveying the sheet (6) to the sheet transfer point (U) and aligning the sheet (6),
    d) conveying the gripper carriage (8) collision-free to the sheet transfer point (U),
    e) stopping the gripper carriage (8),
    f) closing the grippers (80),
    g) transporting (B) the sheet (6) through the machine (100) by continuously moving the gripper carriages (8).
  2. The method for transferring sheets according to claim 1, characterised in that steps c) and d) are carried out simultaneously.
  3. A sheet punching and/or embossing machine (100) for processing sheets (6), in particular of paper, cardboard or plastic, and particularly for carrying out the method of claim 1 or 2, comprising a sheet feeder (1), at least one processing station (2, 3, 4) and a sheet transport system (7) with intermittently rotating gripper carriages (8) for transporting the sheets (6) in a sheet running plane (E) through the sheet punching and/or embossing machine (100),
    wherein each gripper carriage (8) has a plurality of grippers (80) for gripping the sheets (6), and wherein the sheets are transferred at a sheet transfer point (U) by the feeder (1) to the sheet transport system (7),
    characterised in that
    each gripper (80) has a movable (v) gripper pad (81) and a pivotable (s) gripper arm (82) for opening or closing, wherein each gripper arm (82) when rotating in the sheet transport system (7) describes an inner trajectory, and each gripper pad (81) when rotating in the sheet transport system (7) describes an outer trajectory, and
    the gripper pad (81) is movable in the region of the sheet transfer point (U) for further opening the gripper (80) into a retracted position.
