Description

The invention relates to a catching and collecting device for ammunition sleeves and with the corresponding connecting elements of the safety gear to weapon stations, in particular to weapon stations with lafettierter weapon.

Military vehicles are increasingly used with weapon stations for self-defense and to combat enemy targets. The weapon stations allow the operator to observe and combat targets under armor protection. These weapon stations are usually designed mechanically / electrically or remote-controlled. Remote weapon stations are also known as Remote Weapon Station (RWS) or Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS).

The weapon stations are increasingly equipped with military weapons, which in turn are usually developed for manual use and as these are held by soldiers or operated directly. For adapting or Lafettieren on the weapon stations these are extended with special adapters and facilities and thus made remotely controllable. These weapons, eg machine guns (MG) or grenade machine guns (GMK or AGL) have specific ammunition feeders and sleeve / connector (belt link) ejector ports. The weapon stations are usually equipped with ammunition containers, which receive the ammunition straps with the ammunition and often then have receptacle for receiving the empty sleeves / connector, if desired.

With the CA 2 200 922 C a collecting device for empty tubes is proposed side of a handgun. A sleeve and Gurtgliedauffangvorrichtung describes the DE 102 37 688 B4 , This is preferably provided for a mounted on a top mount machine gun, wherein a sleeve channel is screwed to the upper mount and the Gurtgliedkanal is held movable by a hinge. Held on the sleeve channel is a sleeve bag, which receives the sleeves and belt members.

However, such devices can not or insufficiently bind to a weapon station for lafetable weapons in order to avoid that the pods etc. are lying around on the vehicle deck and e.g. Block vehicle hatches or scattered in the firing environment.

In weapon stations with large ammunition stock as well as with large elevation range of the weapon (weapons - elevation) open collection containers are used to prevent blocking of the weapon by jamming sleeves. These interceptors are often located below the weapons ejection. The collected below the weapon station collecting devices then takes a large part of the sleeves when the ammunition ejection takes place down.

The CH 526 086 A discloses a carriage for an automatic firearm having a rear ejection opening for empty cartridge sleeves, which are derived by a baffle in a container. In order to achieve that the sleeves arrive at each elevation of the weapon in the container, a second baffle is involved, the first baffle hinged in the area at the rear and the second baffle at the front edge of the ejection opening on the elevierbaren part and in a guided while elevating the weapon fixed part.

From the DE 102 07 233 A1 It is known to involve in the case of large weapons at the rear a sleeve catcher, which receives the rear side of the gun barrel thrown pods of the respective ammunition after firing and opening the shutter.

From the FR 2 714 158 A is a loading and collecting device is known, which is attached to the back of the closure or at the bottom of a weapon. This has a chute with an upper and a lower opening and means for retracting the sleeve. The lower opening engages in a storage system for receiving the sleeves.

The US 2,321,142 A concerns a magazine for an automatic weapon. On one side of the weapon the ammunition is supplied. The sleeves are in turn ejected down from the gun barrel, while the separate belt members fall back laterally via a guide in the container. Both parts fall on a movable plate element, which tilts under the weight around a pivot point, so that the parts come purposefully in the unused area of the magazine to lie.

The US 7,543,524 B discloses a machine gun mount for attachment to a movable support arm of a helicopter. An ammunition magazine is disposed on one side of a cradle carrying the weapon and a catcher on the opposite side. The collecting device is integrated so that the catching takes place via a chute projecting upwards from the collecting device. Alone the ammunition magazine can be changed.

Die US 2,149,522 A betrifft eine weitere fest an der Waffe eingebundene Vorrichtung zum Zurückführen der Hülsen. The US 2,149,522 A relates to another device firmly attached to the weapon for returning the sleeves.

The invention arises, starting from the US 2 149 522 A The object of the invention is to provide a catching device which can ideally also absorb laterally ejected parts, such as sleeves and / or connector elements / belt links, even with an elevatable weapon and allow it to slide into a container.
The object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are shown in the subclaims.
The invention is based on the idea, for example, laterally to integrate a weapon station, a collecting device and a cooperating with this collecting container. In this case, the collecting container in a particular embodiment may be part of the safety gear. In the preferred embodiment, the collection bin is located separately and adjacent or behind the weapon station. Alternatively, however, the collecting container can also be integrated all around the weapon station. After firing, the empty shell and / or the belt members / connector elements are directed against the side catching device and from there into the catch tank. Due to the special design of the safety gear steering is preferably carried out by (along-) sliding of the parts on the rear wall of the device.
The proposed concept can also be used in weapons systems in which the belt members after the firing of ammunition still have to be separated from each other, as they themselves do not fall apart and the belt links remain connected to each other via hooks and eyes. Thus, a belt separator can be integrated in front of the safety gear. Such a separation device describes the EP 1 985 960 A1 , Another separator is also in the not previously published DE 10 2009 031 286.2 shown by the applicant. The separating device comprises a lower guide as well as an upper guide, wherein the lower guide is adapted to the width of the connection point, that is formed on the width of the hooks and eyes, and by two tongue-like rails or the like. The upper guide is preferably from a spring, in which a control cam is integrated for guiding the belt member to be separated. The width of the spring is preferably equal to the width of the hooks and eyes. This is in a preferred embodiment, one in which also not published before DE 10 2009 031 285.4 the Applicant, shown ejection device downstream, which in turn can throw the separate belt members in an unspecified fall arrester.

The attachment to the weapon station is preferably carried out via so-called quick fasteners, etc., so that a simple and quick upgrade or removal of the safety gear in particular is possible. It goes without saying that the collecting container can also be fastened to the weapon station via quick-release fasteners. Thus, the safety gear and the container on these quick couplings of the weapon station - depending on the requirements of the customer or the use - removed or attached to this. By choosing lightweight materials, additional weight is minimized with optimum performance. Another advantage of the design is that it can be adapted to the respective weapon type, caliber type as well as ejection type, since it is not only laterally einbindbar.

Reference to an embodiment with drawing, the invention will be explained in more detail. It shows:
Fig. 1
an elevatable weapon station in a rear view,
Fig. 2
the ammunition flow of in Fig. 1 shown weapon station.

In Fig. 1 is a weapon station 1 with an indicated ammunition container 2 for the storage of ammunition (not shown in detail) for a weapon 4, for example, a lafettiertes machine gun equipped. The weapon 4 is arranged on the weapon station 1 or stored in this and can be eleviert for ballistic compensation of the firing range. Of course, the weapon 4 is changeable in azimuth. However, as known, the relative position of the weapon 4 as well as the ammunition entry and exit of the weapon station 1 change with an elevation.

Therefore, in addition to the weapon station 1, a safety device (device) 5 is fastened via fasteners 6 to the weapon station 1. This safety gear 5 derives the ejected parts into a preferably separate collecting container 3. The fasteners 6 are preferably quick fasteners.

The safety gear 5 consists of a substantially U-shaped frame 5.1 with two side parts 5.2 and a preferably semi-circular running intermediate part 5.3. This intermediate part 5.3 forms a rear wall of the safety gear. In a preferred embodiment, in order to save weight between the two outer sides 5.2 of the frame 5.1 a kind of covering for the intermediate part 5.3 is provided, so that the rear wall is formed of a fabric. Tissues can be fixed tissue, leather, fibers, etc. are used.

The safety gear 5 consists of a plastic and / or metal construction, preferably as a frame, wherein a covering by means of solid fabric, leather, fibers, etc., and the side parts 5.2 is conceivable. A complete plastic and / or metal construction of parts 5.1 to 5.3 is also conceivable.

On a lateral covering / plastic / metal construction but can be omitted if the semicircular shape of the intermediate part 5.3 selected slightly (small radius) and thus lateral sliding out of the parts to be collected by the side panels 5.2 is not possible.

A collecting container 3 is preferably integrated at the rear end of the weapon station 1 and connected thereto, so that the collecting container 3 can be carried along in azimuth even when turning the weapon station 1. Although structurally complex, the container can also be integrated so that it surrounds the weapon station 1 all around and is designed as a fixed part with a vehicle roof or an object (not shown) on which the weapon station 1 is mounted.

Fig. 2 shows the ammunition flow of ammunition not shown by the arrow 7.
