Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a hand rest for mounting on a shaft of a mountaineering pole, wherein the hand rest forms a support projection projecting from the shaft for supporting a hand of a user, and wherein the hand rest has a clamping means, by means of which the hand rest can be brought into clamping connection with the shaft, and wherein the clamping means comprises an actuating lever for actuating the clamping means for making and releasing the clamping connection.
  • Mountaineering pimples with a shaft and a shaft located at an upper end of the shaft are among the most important equipment for alpine mountaineering as support for walking and climbing on rock, snow or ice, as a belay device or as a tool for beating kicks or handholds.
  • the mountaineering pimple is generally gripped on the shaft and driven into the ground with the forwardly extending line, with one or a blade, also located at the upper end of the shaft, or with a shaft tip disposed at the lower end of the shaft.
  • one of the FR 2 918 898 A known as Eispickel trained mountaineering pick a hand rest, which is clamped by a clamp around the outer circumference of the shaft and a clamp clamped around the outer circumference of the shaft and minen supporting projection for supporting the hand forms in the forward direction (in the direction of the Haue) from Shank protrudes.
  • the well-known hand support further comprises an actuating lever, with which the clamp of the climber manually between a release position in which the hand rest is slidable along the shaft, and a clamping position in which the hand rest is fixed to the shaft, can be adjusted.
  • the adjustable hand rest increases the functionality of the known ice pick
  • the ergonomics of the ice pick in the grip area are impaired by the actuating lever to be provided for this purpose.
  • a hand rest for mounting on a shaft of a mountaineering pick, wherein the hand rest forms a protruding from the shaft support projection for supporting a user's hand, wherein the hand rest has a clamping means by which the hand rest with the Shank can be brought into clamping connection, wherein the clamping means comprises an actuating lever to actuate the clamping means for producing and for releasing the clamping connection, and wherein at least a part of the supporting projection is formed by the actuating lever.
  • An important idea of the invention is therefore the actuating lever for producing or releasing the clamping connection of the clamping means in the area to arrange the support projection of the hand rest or even form the support projection entirely by the operating lever, so that the necessary for the operating lever and possibly for its support on the hand rest space can be used simultaneously as a support projection for the user's hand.
  • a component and weight saving double function of the operating lever is achieved as an actuating element of the clamping means on the one hand and as a support projection or part of the support projection for the hand of the user on the other hand.
  • the operating lever can be arranged by the invention features at a position where it does not interfere with use in use, for example against a user's palm, so that a significant improvement in the holding comfort and the Griffergonomie and grip safety can be achieved.
  • the supporting projection is formed by the operating lever as well as by at least one further projecting portion (e.g., a clip projection to be described later) of the hand rest.
  • at least a portion of the acting force can be absorbed by the at least one further projecting portion of the hand support during use of the mountaineering pick and in particular when exerting force on the hand rest, so that the clamping means is relieved.
  • the actuating lever is supported in the clamping position from above on the at least one further projection portion.
  • a stable stop for the actuating lever can be provided in this way, which at the same time receives as part of the supporting projection the forces occurring during use of the mountaineering pick.
  • the actuating lever is received in the clamping position in a recess of the projecting portion.
  • the clamping means comprises a clamp, which surrounds the shaft at least partially, preferably a substantially U-shaped or O-shaped clamp, which rotates at least one rear portion and the two lateral portions of the shaft.
  • the clamping means comprises a clamp
  • this clamp with the exception of at most the area of the supporting projection, can circulate the shaft substantially along its circumference as a flat band or in the manner of a flat band, so that no protrusions or interruptions or the like outside the supporting protrusion affect the ergonomics and grip safety of the hand rest disturbing.
  • a design of the clamp in the manner of a flat band corresponds to a design of the relevant clamp portion such that no protrusions or the like project disturbingly outwards in this section.
  • a clip in the nature of a flat band could be formed except by a flat band, for example by a rope arrangement or by a grid.
  • the support projection is formed by the actuating lever and by a clamp projection, wherein the clamp projection is fixed, in particular integrally connected to the clamp.
  • the clamp projection which is fixed, in particular integral (of uniform material), is connected to the clamp, so that a stable hand support is provided.
  • Such a clamp projection can be made particularly ergonomic in connection with the actuating lever when, in a clamping position of the clamping means, a surface of the actuating lever merges substantially continuously into a surface of the clamp projection.
  • the ergonomic advantages are particularly useful in such a variant, when the transition between the surface of the actuating lever and the surface of the clamp projection is arranged in a particularly exposed in the hand of the mountaineer in contact surface portion of the support projection.
  • the actuating lever may be pivotally mounted on the hand rest at a pivot point.
  • a pivotal mounting opens technically simple ways to quickly and safely clamp the clamping means by means of a simple actuation movement with the shaft or to solve the clamp connection.
  • the clamping means is preferably arranged such that the actuating lever extends in a clamping position of the clamping means from the pivot point along the support projection and is pivoted in a release position of the clamping means relative to the clamping position upwards.
  • Such a variant provides in the clamping position an ergonomic combination of actuating lever and supporting projection and also makes use of the fact that the force acting on the hand support force by the user's hand mostly in the downward direction oriented, ie away from the haul and towards the opposite free tip of the shaft. Such a force action then presses the actuating lever always in the clamping position, so that the clamping means holds the hand support reliably fixed in use on the shaft. Accidental opening of the clamping means when supporting the user's hand on the support projection can be reliably avoided.
  • a clamp of the clamping means could be clamped to the shaft by means of a screw actuated by the actuating lever.
  • a simple and quick way to make and solve the clamp connection provides the provision of a cam portion which is moved by the actuating lever.
  • the cam portion could be formed on the circumference of an eccentrically mounted hub portion of the actuating lever, so that the actuating lever and cam portion may be formed by a simple and stable component.
  • the above-mentioned object of the invention is achieved by a hand support for mounting on a shaft of a mountaineering pick, wherein the hand support forms a projecting from the shaft support projection for supporting a user's hand, wherein the hand support comprises a clamping means by means of wherein the hand rest is clampably engagable with the shaft, the clamping means comprising a clamp which at least partially surrounds the shaft, and wherein a friction member is disposed on a rear portion of the clamp opposite the support protrusion to come into contact with the shaft ,
  • the friction element can be arranged on an inner side of the clamp friction pad, so that the friction element can be easily manufactured and, if desired, attached to the clamp in a simple manner.
  • an elastic mat e.g., rubber
  • an elastic mat is considered which is placed on the inside of the clamp.
  • a hand rest according to the further aspect of the invention additionally comprises at least one of the features of the first aspect of the invention in order to achieve the advantages and effects described above for the corresponding features.
  • a clamp with a friction element is considered to be advantageous, which has a recess or interruption in the region of the support projection and otherwise rotates the shaft substantially along its circumference as a flat band or in the manner of a flat band, ie in particular in the rear portion of the clamp in which the friction element is arranged, the shaft rotates without interruption. The friction element can then be effectively pressed by the circumferential clamp in the rear portion against the shaft become.
  • the invention provides a mountaineering pimple comprising a shaft and a shaft disposed at an upper end of the shaft and having a hand rest according to claim 1.
  • a mountaineering pimple achieves the above-mentioned advantages and effects in terms of improved functionality, the higher ergonomics and the increased safety when using the mountaineering pick, especially under load and during continuous use of the mountaineering pick.
  • the haunches of the mountaineering peg and the supporting projection of the hand rest project from the shaft in substantially the same direction, namely in a forward direction. If the climber holds the mountaineering pimple on the shaft in such a way that he can hammer the hewn forward into the ground, his fingers can rest on top of the support projection to transmit traction more comfortably and reliably.
