Definitions
- the present invention relates to a stick grip for walking sticks, trekking sticks, alpine ski sticks, cross-country skiing sticks, Nordic walking sticks, with a grip body and with a hand strap, the length of the hand strap being adjustable.
- Walking sticks, trekking sticks, alpine ski sticks, cross-country skiing sticks, as well as Nordic walking sticks usually have a stick handle at their upper end, which is gripped by the hand.
- a hand strap is usually attached to this stick handle, through which the hand is guided before grasping the stick handle.
- Such hand straps can usually be adjusted to different hand sizes and to be used with or without gloves by varying their length. In this regard, there are a number of ways to variably attach hand straps to the stick handle.
- the U.S. 3,113,786 discloses a length-adjustable hand strap, in which the first end of the strap is fixed in the handle and the second end can be attached to the desired length on the outside of the handle with a fastener oriented transversely to the pole axis, while the remaining part of the second end of the strap can be threaded through the handle into the Cane tube can be inserted.
- the EP 1 819 406 discloses such a handle with an improved locking mechanism for the length of use of the hand strap.
- a handle has the disadvantage that if the handle is made of a soft material, such as foam material or cork, the handle material at the point where the hand strap enters and exits can quickly wear out due to abrasion caused by stress.
- Existing systems also have the disadvantage of insufficient stability when the handles are made of soft material.
- the DE 20311805 U1 discloses a stick grip with a length-adjustable hand strap, a first end of the strap being attached to a clamping element that can be tilted in a stick tube attachment.
- the object of the invention is therefore, inter alia, to provide an improved stick grip which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
- a stick grip with a secure locking mechanism for the loop length is to be made available, which is easy to produce and in which the grip material is protected from tensile stress and from abrasion by the hand loop.
- a length-adjustable hand strap is attached in or on the handle body.
- the stick grip according to the invention also has a device for blocking and adjusting the length of use of the hand strap.
- the hand strap comprises an essentially band-shaped element which forms a loop between an upper, first, fixed end and a free, lower, second end of the hand strap forms, which wraps around the user's hand.
- the loop is adjustable in length. The loop length is adjusted with an upward movement of the wrist strap and is fixed with a downward movement, which is discussed in more detail below is described.
- the band-shaped element of the hand strap is advantageously made of a woven material with a preferred width of 5-25 mm, preferably a woven band of synthetic fibers or natural fibres.
- the loop can also be thermoplastically injected from a soft plastic.
- the stick grip has a grip body with a head section and a grip section.
- the handle body also has a recess with a radial first section in the area of the handle head and an axial second section essentially in the area of the handle body, with the axial second section extending into the area of the head section.
- the horizontal first section serves essentially to insert and fasten the hand strap to the grip body, while the axial second section essentially serves to accommodate an uppermost tube section of a pole tube from below, i.e. the axial second section of the recess is open towards the lower end of the grip body educated.
- the recess is open downwards at the lower end of the handle body and to the rear in the area where the hand strap is inserted, and the axial, second section of the recess of the handle body opens into the first, essentially horizontal section of the recess.
- the hand strap has an upper, first end on one side, which is fastened to or in a top wall of the insert by means of a screw. On the other side, the hand strap first enters the recess of the grip body with a middle loop section, is deflected in the recess by a deflection element and then emerges downwards as a free, lower, second end from the recess of the grip body.
- a blocking element is arranged in the recess or inside the head section of the handle body, which blocks the lower loop section protruding from the recess of the handle body at the lower, free second end when the hand strap is subjected to a tensile load when it is directed downwards.
- the blocking element is mounted in an insert which, at least with an upper head section of the insert, is arranged in the recess of the grip body. In the blocking position, the lower loop section is blocked by the blocking element in that the lower loop section is preferably pressed in a blocking manner onto a contact surface of the insert or onto a contact surface on the insert.
- the insert has a lower neck section adjoining the head section downwards in the axial direction.
- the neck portion of the insert is insertable or inserted into a central recess of the uppermost tube section at the upper end of an uppermost tube section of a pole tube.
- the lower axial section of the insert, or the neck section of the insert, which protrudes axially from below into the pole grip or is embedded in it, is essentially cylindrical and preferably in the form of a hollow cylinder to save material and thus weight .
- the neck portion is formed integrally with the head portion.
- the insert is arranged and fastened with its neck section in the uppermost pipe section, e.g. pressed, glued, or mechanically connected in the uppermost pipe section.
- the head portion of the insert is located in the axial recess of the handle body.
- the handle body can additionally be glued or pressed onto this head section of the insert.
- the attachment of the insert takes place mainly with its neck section in the uppermost pipe section.
- the insert preferably has a shoulder between the larger-diameter head portion and the smaller-diameter neck portion. This paragraph serves as the upper tee for the top section of pipe.
- the neck section of the insert is designed in the form of a sleeve, and the insert is pushed onto the uppermost pipe section. This means that the insert can be slipped over the upper end of the uppermost pipe section or is or is slipped over it.
- the head section of the insert has the blocking element in its hollow space, which serves to deflect and fix the length of the hand strap.
- the neck portion is in the form of a sleeve adapted and configured to receive the top tube portion.
- the inside diameter of the sleeve is preferably only directly larger than the outside diameter of the uppermost pipe section.
- the insert can be installed either before assembly of the handle body or as The assembly with the handle body or handle sleeve attached thereto can be pushed onto the uppermost pipe section and preferably attached thereto.
- the handle body is preferably attached to the insert by gluing.
- the attachment of the uppermost pipe section in the neck section of the insert is preferably carried out here by pressing or gluing.
- the length of the insert preferably extends over a large part of the length of the handle body, or from the horizontal first section of the recess of the handle body to the lower end of the handle body within and along the entire length of the axial second section of the recess of the handle body.
- a partition wall which extends transversely to the longitudinal axis of the stick and extends essentially in the radial direction, which delimits a cavity at the bottom or divides it into an upper central recess and a lower central recess. or which forms the bottom of the upper central recess.
- This partition preferably forms the support surface for the lower loop section in the area of the shoulder, against which the lower loop section is pressed in the blocking position.
- the uppermost tubular section finds an upper stop at the inner upper end of the sleeve-shaped neck portion of the insert.
- This can be designed in the form of the partition wall mentioned or, for example, as a sleeve section with a smaller diameter than the neck section, which forms the boundary to the head section of the insert.
- the upper stop for the uppermost pipe section can thus also be formed by a circumferential radial shoulder, which is arranged between the head section and the neck section of the insert.
- the head portion and the neck portion of the insert according to this preferred embodiment are formed in one piece.
- the insert is preferably made at least partially, preferably entirely, of metal, for example aluminum or an aluminum alloy.
- the insert can also be made partially or entirely of plastic, in particular of a hard plastic, preferably of PC, PP, polyamide or ABS, optionally in a fiber-reinforced form.
- the overall length of the insert measured along its longitudinal axis, or when inserted State along the longitudinal axis of the stick or the longitudinal axis of the grip body is preferably 20-70 mm, particularly preferably 30-60 mm.
- the neck section projecting from above into the uppermost pipe section preferably has a length of 10-40 mm, particularly preferably 20-30 mm.
- the head section of the insert is preferably longer than the neck section, but alternatively an inverse ratio of the length of the head section to the length of the neck section is also possible, or that both sections are essentially of the same length.
- the outer diameter of the insert in the head section is preferably 12-22 mm, particularly preferably 14-18 mm.
- the outside diameter of the neck portion of the insert is preferably 10-20 mm, more preferably 12-16 mm (.
- the head section of the insert preferably finds an upper stop on an upper wall delimiting the second, axial recess in the interior of the head section of the handle body.
- the dimensions of the recess or bore of the handle body for the head section of the insert is matched to the dimensions of the insert.
- the upper, first end of the hand strap is attached to or in an upper wall of the insert by means of an attachment element in the form of a screw.
- the fastening element projects into a preferably axial, central recess or bore in the upper wall of the head section of the insert.
- the axial central recess or bore preferably has an internal thread.
- the lower loop section protruding from the grip body with the free lower second end is arranged directly below the central loop section entering the grip body.
- the deflection element is a pin which is arranged essentially horizontally in the head section of the insert and essentially transversely to a longitudinal axis of the grip body or the stick attached thereto.
- the pin is preferably held or mounted in a lateral wall in the region of the head section of the insert in corresponding opposite recesses or bores in the insert, with at least one of these two recesses being continuous on one side, so that the Pen can be pushed in from the outside and thus fixed in use or in the grip body.
- this facilitates the production of the insert as a separate component, which can be inserted into the handle head during initial assembly or for the purpose of replacement, and, on the other hand, it enables the pin, the blocking element or the hand strap to be replaced if the blocking element or the hand strap is worn out.
- the transverse pin which serves as a deflection element for the hand strap, thus protrudes through an upper central recess of the insert in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the pole and transverse to a direction in which the central loop section is inserted into the horizontal section of the recess in the grip body.
- the pin or transverse pin can have a circular cross-section, but it is also possible, for example to increase friction, to provide a different cross-sectional shape, for example a square, rectangular or polygonal cross-sectional shape.
- the blocking element is preferably rotatably or fixedly fastened to the deflection element designed as a transverse pin.
- the blocking element is also preferably arranged in an upper central recess of the insert, i.e. in the head area of the insert.
- the blocking element is rotatably or pivotably mounted about the deflection element or the transverse pin.
- the cross pin is arranged along the axis of rotation of the blocking element, and the blocking element thus rotates about the cross pin.
- the middle loop section entering the handle body is preferably guided around the transverse pin and led out below with the second free lower end in the area of the horizontal first section of the recess from the handle body.
- the blocking element can be fixedly connected to the transverse pin, the transverse pin being rotatably arranged in the opposing recesses or bores of the insert.
- a further preferred embodiment is characterized in that the blocking element has a downwardly angled or downwardly directed area which, in the blocking position, is pressed onto the lower loop section protruding from the grip body at the free, lower, second end. Contrary to the stick grip EP 1 819 406 is here in the blocking position only the lower loop portion by the blocking element in a blocking manner on a Contact surface of the insert pressed.
- the blocking element preferably has a deflection section which is encompassed on the outside by the middle loop section over an angle of at least 120 degrees, preferably at least 160 degrees.
- a straight section preferably follows the deflection section.
- the above-mentioned downwardly angled or downwardly directed area is preferably arranged.
- the downwardly angled portion of the locking member is angled at an angle of 70-120 degrees from the straight portion or leg.
- the straight section and the downwardly angled area of the blocking element preferably each have a length, respectively. Height, so that when the hand strap is directed downwards, the middle loop section entering the recess of the grip body pulls the downwardly angled area of the blocking element down onto the lower loop section emerging from the free end of the grip body.
- the downward pull on the hand strap causes a pull on the deflection section of the blocking element, which leads to a rotation of the blocking element and a resulting force of the downwardly angled area of the blocking element acting on the lower loop section.
- the downwardly angled area of the blocking element has downwardly directed teeth on its lower side, or preferably at least one downwardly directed tooth or a continuous clamping edge. This increases the friction between the blocking element and the lower loop portion as the downwardly directed teeth clamp onto the loop band when the blocking element is steered downwards. In addition, the pressure on the loop strap is increased by the teeth and thus the holding power is improved.
- the blocking element is pivoted downwards around the deflection element for the purpose of blocking the lower loop section.
- the blocking element is pivoted upwards around the deflection element, releasing the lower loop section, since the angled area or the angled area of the blocking element is separated from the lower loop section either lifted off or the lower loop section is at least relieved of pressure.
- the blocking element is held in the blocking position by downward tensile loading. Adjustability of the length of the hand strap is preferably only permitted when the hand strap is deliberately deflected into a horizontal position, and in particular when the hand strap is moved upwards.
- the present invention also relates to a stick, in particular a walking stick, trekking stick, alpine ski stick, cross-country ski stick or Nordic walking stick, which has a stick handle according to one of the embodiments described above.
- a first exemplary embodiment of a stick 1 according to the invention is shown in the blocking position or clamping position.
- the grip body 4 of the stick grip 1 is attached to the upper end of a stick tube, or to a top tube section 3 of a stick tube.
- the grip body 4 has an upper head portion 4a and a lower grip portion 4b.
- the hand strap 2 fastened in the head section 4a of the grip body 4 is adjustable in length.
- the lower free second end 2b of the loop band of the hand strap 2 In order to reduce the diameter of the hand strap 2, the lower free second end 2b of the loop band of the hand strap 2 must be pulled, whereby the length adjustability or adjustability is only given or a pull at the lower free second end is only possible if the hand strap 2 or the upper loop section 2c emerging from the grip head 4a and the middle loop section 2d, which enters the grip head 4a or the grip body 4b, are moved upwards.
- the grip body 4 has a downwardly open axial recess or an axial cavity 21 into which the pole tube 3 is inserted.
- the pole grip 1 is ergonomically shaped, with the grip section 4b of the grip body 4 having a shoulder 4d pointing forward in the running direction V for supporting fingers and a projection 4c pointing backward at the lower end of the grip section 4b.
- the grip head 4a of the grip body 4 has a recess 6, which faces towards the rear of the stick grip 1, seen in relation to the running direction V, i.e. on the side of the user where the hand strap enters the grip head 4a, or out of the grip head 4a emerges, is designed to be open.
- This substantially horizontal recess 6 opens into the central axial recess 21 for the pole, or the uppermost tube section 3 of a pole.
- an insert 7 used from above, which with its neck portion 7b in the top tube portion 3 of the pole tube intervenes.
- the neck section 7b of the insert 7 is designed as a hollow cylinder.
- the head section 7a of the insert 7 is also essentially designed as a somewhat incomplete hollow cylinder, viewed in relation to the circumferential direction U1, with an upper wall 7f that is convex toward the top.
- the head area 7a is closed towards the front in the circumferential direction U1 with respect to the running direction V, but open towards the rear, ie the lateral surface of the head area 7a of the insert 7 is partially missing in the circumferential direction U1 of the insert. Less than half of the circumference of the lateral surface is missing.
- the insert 7 finds an upper stop on the wall delimiting the axial recess 21 of the handle head 4a at the top.
- the hand strap 2 can protrude through this opening into the recess 6 of the handle head 4a and further into the central recess 8a of the head section 7a of the insert 7 .
- a shoulder 15 running around in the circumferential direction U1 of the insert 7 at the transition from the lower neck section 7b to the upper head section 7a of the insert 7 forms an upper stop for the pole tube.
- the peripheral lower edge 16 on the shoulder 15 is bevelled, as is the lower peripheral edge 17 of the neck section 7b of the insert 7, as in FIG figure 5 shown in detail.
- a partition wall 9 is arranged, which to a certain extent forms the bottom of the upper central recess 8a.
- a blocking element 10 is rotatably or pivotably mounted about an axis of rotation which is arranged transversely to the longitudinal axis L of the stick or to the longitudinal axis of the stick grip 1 and transversely to the running direction V and essentially horizontally.
- a pin or transverse pin 11 is arranged along the axis of rotation, around which the blocking element 10 is arranged pivotably.
- the head section 7a has in its side wall or in the lateral surface on two opposite sides in each case a through hole or recess open at least on one side, through which one end of the transverse pin 11 protrudes in each case.
- the blocking element 10 which is designed like a wing, has a deflection section 10a and an adjoining leg or straight section 10b, followed by an angled area 10c.
- This angled portion 10c has on its underside small, downward-pointing teeth 12 or a Toothing or a continuous clamping edge to increase the frictional force or the blocking force of the blocking element 10 on the lower loop portion 2e.
- Both the deflection section 10a and the straight section 10b and the angled area 10c extend over the entire inner diameter of the head section 7a of the insert 7, or protrudes through the upper central recess of the insert 7 in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the transverse pin 11. or in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis L of the stick.
- the pin or transverse pin 11 serves at the same time as a deflection element for the middle loop section 2d of the hand strap 2 inside the handle head 4a, or inside the upper central recess 8a of the insert 7.
- the hand strap 2 has a strap with two free ends 2a, 2b, of which an upper first end 2a is attached by means of an attachment element 13 in an upper wall 7f of the insert 7.
- the top wall 7f of the head portion 7a of the insert 7 has an axial central recess or bore 14 for attachment.
- the upper first end 2a of the hand strap 2 is achieved by inserting the fastening element 13 in the form of a screw into this central recess or bore 14.
- the loop strap runs through the essentially horizontal recess of the grip head 4a in relation to the running direction V to the rear and emerges from the grip head 4a on the rear side of the pole grip 1.
- the loop tape forms a hand strap 2, which encloses the user's hand, and then re-enters the recess 6 of the handle head 4a with a middle loop section 2d.
- the upper central recess 8a of the insert 7 is deflected around the pin or transverse pin 11 mounted essentially horizontally in the insert 7 or around the blocking element 10 rotatably articulated on the transverse pin 11 .
- the now lower loop section 2e initially rests on the contact surface 20 formed at least in some areas by the partition 9 before the lower loop section 2e leaves the grip head 4a through the recess 6 to the rear.
- the lower, free, second end 2b of the loop strap hangs freely downwards and is deflected in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the angled area 10c of the blocking element 10 presses the lower loop section 2e in the exemplary embodiment shown onto the partition wall 9 or the bearing surface 20 in the area of shoulder 15 between the head section 7a and the neck section 7b of the insert 7.
- the pressure point is in the area of the side wall or the lateral surface at the lower end of the head section 7a of the insert 7, directly in front of the contact point between the insert and the rear wall of the handle body 4 at the lower end of the radial first section 6a of the recess 6.
- the hand strap of 4 is shown in a somewhat neutral position, ie neither in the pulled-down position, in which the blocking element 10 is in the clamping position or blocking position, nor in the pulled-up position, in which the blocking element 10 is in the adjustment position, ie in which the Hand strap 2 is adjustable in length, but in a position in between.
- the blocking position namely, the middle loop section 2d at the rear exit of the recess 6 rests directly on the lower loop section 2e.
- the middle strap section 2d pulls in the clockwise direction U2 on the deflection section 10a of the Blocking element 10.
- the blocking element 10 is thus rotated about the transverse pin 11 or about the axis of rotation by the train on the central loop section 2d due to the enclosing of the deflection section 10a of the blocking element 10 by the central loop section 2d.
- the angled area 10c of the blocking element 10 is pressed onto the lower loop section 2e, which in turn is thereby pressed onto the bearing surface 20 in the area of the side wall in the area of the shoulder 15 of the insert 7 . This fixes the length of the hand strap 2 and prevents the length adjustability in this position.
- the teeth 12 or tips on the underside of the angled area 10c increase the frictional force or the blocking effect here.
- the blocking element 10 can be pivoted loosely and does not exert any pressure on the lower strap section 2e lying underneath. Accordingly, the length of the hand strap 2 can be adjusted in this position, in other words the hand strap 2 can be reduced by pulling on the second free end 2b, or lengthened by pulling on the middle loop section 2d entering the handle body 4. In addition, the length of the hand strap 2 in the upward position of the hand strap 2 must be increased in any case, which automatically provides security in the event of a fall or the stick getting caught.
- FIG 6 is a second embodiment of a stick grip shown in a schematic representation, seen in the running direction from back to front, with a view of the recess 6 of the head portion 4a of the grip body 4.
- the section along the section plane BB of 6 is in 7 pictured.
- the insert 7 is longer than in the embodiment of FIG figure 4 .
- the insert 7 is placed in the region of its sleeve-shaped neck section 7b over the uppermost tube section 3 of the pole tube and is fastened thereto.
- the uppermost tube section 3 thus extends within the lower central recess 8b of the insert 7 over the entire length of the neck section 7b and beyond. Furthermore, the neck section 7b of the insert 7 is accommodated in the central axial recess 21 of the handle body 4 and is thus fastened to the handle body 4 inside the handle body 4 .
- the insert 7 can be made either as a structural unit with the handle body 4 and/or as a structural unit with the uppermost pipe section 3.
- the wall thickness of the insert 7 in the neck section 7b is greater in this exemplary embodiment than the wall thickness of the uppermost pipe section 3.
- Blocking element 10 is arranged and fixed in the upper central recess 8a in the head portion 7a of the insert 7, the types of arrangement and attachment of the blocking element 10 and the types of attachment of the hand strap 2 on the insert also for this alternative embodiment of figure 7 are applicable.
