Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a stick grip for walking sticks, trekking sticks, alpine ski sticks, cross-country skiing sticks, Nordic walking sticks, with a grip body and with a hand strap, the length of the hand strap being adjustable.
  • Walking sticks, trekking sticks, alpine ski sticks, cross-country skiing sticks, as well as Nordic walking sticks usually have a stick handle at their upper end, which is gripped by the hand.
  • a hand strap is usually attached to this stick handle, through which the hand is guided before grasping the stick handle.
  • Such hand straps can usually be adjusted to different hand sizes and to be used with or without gloves by varying their length. In this regard, there are a number of ways to variably attach hand straps to the stick handle.
  • the U.S. 3,113,786 discloses a length-adjustable hand strap, in which the first end of the strap is fixed in the handle and the second end can be attached to the desired length on the outside of the handle with a fastener oriented transversely to the pole axis, while the remaining part of the second end of the strap can be threaded through the handle into the Cane tube can be inserted.
  • the EP 1 819 406 discloses such a handle with an improved locking mechanism for the length of use of the hand strap.
  • a handle has the disadvantage that if the handle is made of a soft material, such as foam material or cork, the handle material at the point where the hand strap enters and exits can quickly wear out due to abrasion caused by stress.
  • Existing systems also have the disadvantage of insufficient stability when the handles are made of soft material.
  • the DE 20311805 U1 discloses a stick grip with a length-adjustable hand strap, a first end of the strap being attached to a clamping element that can be tilted in a stick tube attachment.
  • the object of the invention is therefore, inter alia, to provide an improved stick grip which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
  • a stick grip with a secure locking mechanism for the loop length is to be made available, which is easy to produce and in which the grip material is protected from tensile stress and from abrasion by the hand loop.
  • a length-adjustable hand strap is attached in or on the handle body.
  • the stick grip according to the invention also has a device for blocking and adjusting the length of use of the hand strap.
  • the hand strap comprises an essentially band-shaped element which forms a loop between an upper, first, fixed end and a free, lower, second end of the hand strap forms, which wraps around the user's hand.
  • the loop is adjustable in length. The loop length is adjusted with an upward movement of the wrist strap and is fixed with a downward movement, which is discussed in more detail below is described.
  • the band-shaped element of the hand strap is advantageously made of a woven material with a preferred width of 5-25 mm, preferably a woven band of synthetic fibers or natural fibres.
  • the loop can also be thermoplastically injected from a soft plastic.
  • the stick grip has a grip body with a head section and a grip section.

  • the recess is open downwards at the lower end of the handle body and to the rear in the area where the hand strap is inserted, and the axial, second section of the recess of the handle body opens into the first, essentially horizontal section of the recess.
  • the hand strap has an upper, first end on one side, which is fastened to or in a top wall of the insert by means of a screw. On the other side, the hand strap first enters the recess of the grip body with a middle loop section, is deflected in the recess by a deflection element and then emerges downwards as a free, lower, second end from the recess of the grip body.
  • a blocking element is arranged in the recess or inside the head section of the handle body, which blocks the lower loop section protruding from the recess of the handle body at the lower, free second end when the hand strap is subjected to a tensile load when it is directed downwards.
  • the blocking element is mounted in an insert which, at least with an upper head section of the insert, is arranged in the recess of the grip body. • the insert has a lower neck section adjoining the head section downwards in the axial direction.
  • the neck portion of the insert is insertable or inserted into a central recess of the uppermost tube section at the upper end of an uppermost tube section of a pole tube.
  • the lower axial section of the insert, or the neck section of the insert, which protrudes axially from below into the pole grip or is embedded in it, is essentially cylindrical and preferably in the form of a hollow cylinder to save material and thus weight .
  • the neck portion is formed integrally with the head portion.
  • the insert is arranged and fastened with its neck section in the uppermost pipe section, e.g. pressed, glued, or mechanically connected in the uppermost pipe section.

  • the head section of the insert has the blocking element in its hollow space, which serves to deflect and fix the length of the hand strap.
  • the neck portion is in the form of a sleeve adapted and configured to receive the top tube portion.
  • the inside diameter of the sleeve is preferably only directly larger than the outside diameter of the uppermost pipe section.
  • the insert can be installed either before assembly of the handle body or as The assembly with the handle body or handle sleeve attached thereto can be pushed onto the uppermost pipe section and preferably attached thereto.

  • a partition wall which extends transversely to the longitudinal axis of the stick and extends essentially in the radial direction, which delimits a cavity at the bottom or divides it into an upper central recess and a lower central recess. or which forms the bottom of the upper central recess.
  • This partition preferably forms the support surface for the lower loop section in the area of the shoulder, against which the lower loop section is pressed in the blocking position.
  • the uppermost tubular section finds an upper stop at the inner upper end of the sleeve-shaped neck portion of the insert.
  • This can be designed in the form of the partition wall mentioned or, for example, as a sleeve section with a smaller diameter than the neck section, which forms the boundary to the head section of the insert.
  • the upper stop for the uppermost pipe section can thus also be formed by a circumferential radial shoulder, which is arranged between the head section and the neck section of the insert.
  • the head portion and the neck portion of the insert according to this preferred embodiment are formed in one piece.
  • the insert is preferably made at least partially, preferably entirely, of metal, for example aluminum or an aluminum alloy.

  • the outer diameter of the insert in the head section is preferably 12-22 mm, particularly preferably 14-18 mm.
  • the outside diameter of the neck portion of the insert is preferably 10-20 mm, more preferably 12-16 mm (.
  • the head section of the insert preferably finds an upper stop on an upper wall delimiting the second, axial recess in the interior of the head section of the handle body.
  • the dimensions of the recess or bore of the handle body for the head section of the insert is matched to the dimensions of the insert.
  • the upper, first end of the hand strap is attached to or in an upper wall of the insert by means of an attachment element in the form of a screw.
  • the fastening element projects into a preferably axial, central recess or bore in the upper wall of the head section of the insert.

  • the blocking element preferably has a deflection section which is encompassed on the outside by the middle loop section over an angle of at least 120 degrees, preferably at least 160 degrees.
  • a straight section preferably follows the deflection section.
  • the above-mentioned downwardly angled or downwardly directed area is preferably arranged.
  • the downwardly angled portion of the locking member is angled at an angle of 70-120 degrees from the straight portion or leg.
  • the straight section and the downwardly angled area of the blocking element preferably each have a length, respectively. Height, so that when the hand strap is directed downwards, the middle loop section entering the recess of the grip body pulls the downwardly angled area of the blocking element down onto the lower loop section emerging from the free end of the grip body.
  • the downward pull on the hand strap causes a pull on the deflection section of the blocking element, which leads to a rotation of the blocking element and a resulting force of the downwardly angled area of the blocking element acting on the lower loop section.
  • the downwardly angled area of the blocking element has downwardly directed teeth on its lower side, or preferably at least one downwardly directed tooth or a continuous clamping edge. This increases the friction between the blocking element and the lower loop portion as the downwardly directed teeth clamp onto the loop band when the blocking element is steered downwards. In addition, the pressure on the loop strap is increased by the teeth and thus the holding power is improved.
  • the blocking element is pivoted downwards around the deflection element for the purpose of blocking the lower loop section.
  • the blocking element is pivoted upwards around the deflection element, releasing the lower loop section, since the angled area or the angled area of the blocking element is separated from the lower loop section either lifted off or the lower loop section is at least relieved of pressure.
