- an elevator call can be inputted even in the case where a ten-key button provided in a car or a hall is ON failed.
- 1 ten-key operating apparatus 1 ten-key operating apparatus, 2 ten-key button, 3 button failure detecting device, 4 operation mode selecting device, 5 button input processing device, 6 ten-key button lamp control device, 7 directional lamp, 8 elevator control apparatus, 9 button operation information, 10 failed button information, 11 operation mode information, 12 button lamp control information,
- a ten-key type operating apparatus is provided in many cases.
- the operating apparatus is provided with ten-key buttons corresponding to 0 to 9.
- An elevator user successively presses ten-key buttons corresponding to a figure of his/her desired floor, whereby a destination floor can be registered. For example, when a ten-key button corresponding to "1" is pressed, and thereafter a ten-key button corresponding to "5" is pressed, the 15th floor is registered as the destination floor.
- the number of call registration buttons need not be increased.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an essential portion of the elevator control system in accordance with embodiment 1 of the present invention.
- reference numeral 1 denotes a ten-key operating apparatus.
- This ten-key operating apparatus 1 is provided in an elevator car and elevator halls.
- the ten-key operating apparatus 1 includes ten-key buttons 2, a button failure detecting device 3, an operation mode selecting device 4, a button input processing device 5, and a ten-key button lamp control device 6.
- Figure 1 for simplification, only one ten-key operating apparatus 1 is shown.
- the ten-key buttons 2 have a function of sending out button operation information 9 based on the input of an elevator user.
- the button failure detecting device 3 has a function of receiving the button operation information 9 and also has a function of detecting a failure of each of the ten-key buttons 2 based on the button operation information 9. Further, the button failure detecting device 3 has a function of sending out failed button information 10 based on the failure state of the ten-key buttons 2.
- the operation mode selecting device 4 has a function of receiving the failed button information 10, and also has a function of selecting an elevator operation mode based on the failed button information 10. Further, the operation mode selecting device 4 has a function of sending out operation mode information 11 based on the selected elevator operation mode.
- the button input processing device 5 has a function of receiving the button operation information 9 and the operation mode information 11, and also has a function of select a normal or backup output path based on the button operation information 9 and the operation mode information 11. Further, the button input processing device 5 has a function of sending out elevator call information.
- the ten-key button lamp control device 6 has a function of receiving the button operation information 9, the failed button information 10, and the operation mode information 11. Also, the ten-key button lamp control device 6 has a function of sending out button lamp control information 12 based on the button operation information 9, the failed button information 10, and the operation mode information 11.
- a directional lamp 7 is provided so as to be close to each of the ten-key buttons 2. Specifically, the directional lamp 7 is provided with an LED or the like incorporated in each of the ten-key buttons 2. This directional lamp 7 has a function of receiving the button lamp control information 12, and also has a function of turning on a lamp based on the button lamp control information 12.
- Reference numeral 8 denotes an elevator control apparatus.
- the elevator control apparatus 8 has a function of controlling the operation of the whole of the elevator. Specifically, the elevator control apparatus 8 has a function of moving the elevator car up and down based on call information sent from the button input processing device 5.
- Figure 2 is a front view of ten-key buttons of the elevator control system in accordance with embodiment 1 of the present invention.
- Figure 3 is an enlarged view of an essential portion of Figure 2 .
- the button failure detecting device 3 judges whether or not any of the ten-key buttons 2 is in an ON failure state. Specifically, the button failure detecting device 3 checks the ON/OFF states of the ten-key buttons 2 regularly, and judges that a ten-key button 2 that is not in an OFF state and is still in an ON state for a certain period of time is in an ON failure state. When the button failure detecting device 3 sends out the failed button information 10 such that all of the ten-key buttons 2 are not ON failed, the operation mode selecting device 4 selects a "normal mode" as an elevator operation mode.
- the button input processing device 5 receives the "normal mode" as the operation mode information 11.
- the button input processing device 5 sends out the button operation information 9 of the pressed ten-key buttons 2 to the normal output path as it is.
- the ten-key button lamp control device 6 does not send out the button lamp control information 12. Therefore, the directional lamp 7 is not turned on.
- the elevator control apparatus 8 registers a destination floor based on the button operation information 9. Thereby, the car arrives at the registered destination floor.
- the button failure detecting device 3 judges that any of the ten-key buttons 2 in a hall is ON failed, the button failure detecting device 3 sends out, as the failed button information 10, information that the ten-key button 2 is failed and information that which of the ten-key buttons 2 is failed.
- the operation mode selecting device 4 selects a "backup mode” as an elevator operation mode.
- the button input processing device 5 receives the "backup mode” as the operation mode information 11.
- the button input processing device 5 makes the input of the ON failed ten-key button 2 invalid, and also assigns the car destination direction to the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed. Specifically, as shown in Figure 2 , the button input processing device 5 assigns the rising direction to the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed of the ten-key buttons 2 corresponding to "1" to "6" arranged in the upper half portion of the ten-key buttons 2. Also, the button input processing device 5 assigns the lowering direction to the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed of the ten-key buttons 2 corresponding to "7" to "9” and "0" and spare ten-key buttons 2 arranged in the lower half portion of the ten-key buttons 2.
- the ten-key button lamp control device 6 sends out the button lamp control information 12 giving instruction that all of the directional lamps 7 that are not ON failed are turned on at half brightness.
- the directional lamp 7 takes an arrow shape showing the car destination direction assigned to the ten-key button 2. Therefore, the elevator user can recognize that the elevator operation mode has become the "backup mode". That is, when the ON failure of the ten-key buttons 2 is detected, the directional lamp 7 functions as a notifying device that notifies that the car destination direction has been assigned to the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed.
- the button input processing device 5 sends out up/down information to the backup output path. Specifically, the button input processing device 5 converts the information into the up/down information showing the car destination direction to which the button operation information 9 of the pressed ten-key button 2 is assigned, and sends it out to the backup output path. Thereby, in the elevator control apparatus 8, the call of the destination direction is registered. Further, in the elevator control apparatus 8, the floors in the destination direction above or below that hall are registered as the destination floors.
- the ten-key button lamp control device 6 sends out the button lamp control information 12 giving instruction that the directional lamp 7 of the ten-key button 2 to which the destination direction same as the direction of the pressed ten-key button 2 of the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed is assigned are turned on at full brightness.
- the full brightness means a state in which the brightness is increased as compared with the half brightness.
- the ten-key button lamp control device 6 sends out the button lamp control information 12 giving instruction that the directional lamps 7 that are lighting at full brightness are turned on at half brightness. Thereby, the directional lamps 7 that have been lighted at full brightness return to a state of being lighted at half brightness. Thereafter, the elevator control apparatus 8 stops the car at each floor in the destination direction registered before. Until the "normal mode" is selected as the elevator operation mode, the operations in the "backup mode" are repeated.
- the elevator control apparatus 8 registers, as the car destination floor, the floors lying destination direction of the car assigned to pressed ten-key buttons 2 of the position of the car at the time when the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed in the car are pressed.
- the button input processing device 5 when the ON failure of the ten-key button 2 is detected, the button input processing device 5 makes the input of the ON failed ten-key button 2 invalid, and also assigns the car destination direction to a ten-key button 2 that is not ON failed. Then, the button input processing device 5 sends out the information corresponding to the car destination direction assigned to the pressed ten-key button 2 that is not ON failed. Therefore, even in the case where the ten-key buttons 2 provided in the car or the hall are ON failed, the car destination direction can be inputted as the elevator call.
- the directional lamp 7 provided close to the ten-key button 2 notifies that the car destination direction has been assigned to a ten-key button 2 that is not ON failed. Therefore, at the time of ON failure of the ten-key buttons 2, the elevator user can be notified that the car up/down input can be provided using the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed.
- Such means is not limited to the directional lamp 7. For example, such content may be notified by the display of letters or by voice announcement.
- the directional lamp 7 is turned off, and when the ON failure of the ten-key button 2 is detected, the directional lamp 7 of the ten-key button 2 that is not ON failed is turned on. Also, the brightness of the directional lamp 7 of the ten-key button 2 to which the destination direction same as the direction of the pressed ten-key button 2 of the ten-key buttons 2 that are not ON failed is assigned is increased. Therefore, the elevator user can intuitively recognize that the normal input cannot be provided using the ten-key buttons 2, and also can visually confirm that the desired destination direction has been inputted formally. Also, the maintenance worker does not forget to exchange the ON failed ten-key buttons 2. That is, the ON failure state of the ten-key buttons 2 is prevented from being left as it is.
- the elevator control apparatus 8 registers, as the destination floor of car, the floors lying in the car destination direction assigned to the pressed ten-key buttons 2 from the position of car. Therefore, the car can also be caused to arrive at the floor including the figure assigned to the ON failed ten-key buttons 2.
- the floors including "1" such as the first floor, 15th floor, and 21st floor, cannot be registered as the destination floor by merely making the input of this ten-key button 2 invalid.
- the elevator control system in accordance with this embodiment for example, in the case where an elevator user who is on the third floor desires to go to the first floor, if he/she presses the ten-key button 2 that is not ON failed and to which the lowering direction is assigned, he/she can go the first floor as he/she desires.
- the elevator control system in accordance with the present invention can be used for an elevator capable of inputting an elevator call even in the case where a ten-key button provided in a car or hall is ON failed.
