Definitions

  • the invention relates to a watch, in particular a wristwatch, with a pot-like watch case having a viewing aperture directed to an observer, wherein a movement and components are arranged with areas of light-receiving surface in the watch case and covered by a translucent cover to the observer side and wherein Light from the outside passes through the cover to the light-receiving areas behind the cover.
  • the cover member In such a solar battery powered watch, it is known to form the cover member from a ceramic which transmits light incident thereto, so that a solar battery disposed behind the cover member can be charged without any problem.
  • the cover is also permeable to the visible to the human light.
  • the light which has passed through the cover part on the side facing away from an observer can be reflected on components located behind the cover plate and the cover part illuminates again through the cover part to the observer side.
  • a watch which has a housing with a viewing port.
  • a clockwork is arranged, in front of which a solar cell is located on the view opening side.
  • a reflective polarizer plate In front of the solar cell are in turn a reflective polarizer plate and before a light transmission substrate.
  • the light transmission substrate is provided on its side facing the movement with a prism reflection surface.
  • the on its observer side provided with a transmissive color filter light transmission substrate forms a display panel. From the light entering from outside through the display panel, a first part is reflected on the primary reflecting surface and directed outward. A second part is reflected back outwards on the reflective polarizer plate.
  • a third part through the polarizer plate of linearly polarized light arrives at the solar cell, from which in turn a part of the solar cell is absorbed and another part is reflected by the solar cell. From the light reflected from the solar cell, a part is also redirected to the outside. The reflected back to the outside light has the entire light spectrum and thus also visible light, thus the cover appears brightened for an observer.
  • a watch that has a rotating disk that carries the time information from a fluorescent substance. Observer before the rotating disc an opaque dial is arranged, which has an opening through which the current time indication can be seen. In the region opposite to the direction of movement of the rotating disk in front of the opening, the dial is provided with a translucent zone which is suitable for exposing the fluorescent substance to light radiation. This light radiation has the full spectrum of light, so that the time displays located under the translucent zone of fluorescent From the EP 1 852 754 A1 a watch is known which has a housing with a viewing port. In the housing, a clockwork is arranged, in front of which a solar cell is located on the view opening side.
  • the light transmission substrate In front of the solar cell are in turn a reflective polarizer plate and before a light transmission substrate, the light transmission substrate is provided on its side facing the clockwork with a prism reflection surface.
  • the light transmission substrate provided on its observer side with a transmissive color filter forms a display plate. From the light entering from outside through the display panel, a first part is reflected on the prism reflection surface and directed to the outside. A second part is reflected back outwards on the reflective polarizer plate.
  • a third part through the polarizer plate linearly polarized light reaches the solar cell, from which in turn a part of the solar cell absorbed and another part of the solar cell is reflected. From the light reflected from the solar cell, a part is also directed outward again. The reflected back to the outside light has the entire light spectrum and thus also visible light. As a result, the cover appears brightened for an observer.
This light radiation has the full spectrum of light, so that the time displays located under the translucent zone of fluorescent Substance can also be seen through the translucent zone through to the observer. Exactly this should be avoided by the subject of the application.
  • a solar cell clock which has a dial, behind which a solar cell is arranged.
  • the dial consists of a transparent support, which is covered except for distributed light passages of a non-transmissive film.
  • the light passages occupy a proportion between 20% and 50% of the total area of the carrier. If the proportion is only close to 20%, it is so small that an observer can not recognize the underlying solar cell.
  • the solar cell can in turn receive only 20% of the total area of the carrier so only 20% of the incident on the outside of the carrier light from the outside.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a clock of the type mentioned, in which the components with light-receiving areas from the outside through the cover at least largely avoiding visible to a human lightening of the cover light is well supplied.
  • the cover for ultraviolet light transmissive and visible to light spectrum is at least substantially impermeable, wherein the cover consists of a plate-like support member made of a translucent material on which one or more coatings are applied, the ultraviolet light permeable and visible to light spectrum are at least largely impermeable.
  • the cover member Since the light with a spectrum visible to the human being is prevented from passing through the cover member into the inside of the watch case from the outside, the cover member can not be brightened come through reflected light inside the watch housing with visible to the human spectrum.
  • the areas of light-receiving surface can be designed differently depending on the purpose.
  • the phosphor is activated by the ultraviolet light components of the daylight or artificial light passing through the cover from the outside and leads to afterglow with high luminance.
  • This afterglow can then be used in the dark and no longer existing Lichtbeierschlagung from the outside for certain lighting purposes.
  • the coatings applied to the carrier part can be applied to the carrier part in many different ways be applied from translucent material.
  • Advantageous possibilities for this are, for example, vapor deposition, sputtering or printing.
  • the carrier part can consist of any suitable material.
  • the carrier part of the cover part preferably consists of glass, in particular of sapphire glass.
  • the result is a high-contrast cover part of dark color.
  • the cover part not only has a high-contrast dark coloration, but additionally has an anti-reflective effect.
  • the titanium oxide coating has a thickness of between 65 nm and 100 nm.
  • the coating of titanium oxide preferably has a thickness of between 75 nm and 90 nm, in particular of 80 nm.
  • the cover member may be transmissive for each wavelength region of the ultraviolet light spectrum.
  • the Absoptionskurve the phosphorescent pigments have an absorption peak, which is in, in particular approximately in the middle of the wavelength range for which the cover part for the light ultraviolet spectrum is permeable.
  • the ultraviolet light cover member having a wavelength between 250 nm and 430 nm is translucent. This is particularly advantageous if the absorption curve of the phosphorescent pigments have an absorption peak at a wavelength in the vicinity of 370 nm.
  • this wavelength range is sufficiently spaced from the human visible spectrum of light to avoid passage of that light.
  • the cover part has one or more continuous windows
  • the components with the light-receiving areas of the movement are driveably drivable carrier elements and the light-receiving areas display elements in one by the drive of the movement
  • the display elements are exposed to ultraviolet light not only during their positioning in the region of the windows but also when they are covered by the covering part, so that they can reach the area of the windows and be visible to the observer Daylight or artificial light is always a sufficiently strong excitation of the long-lasting phosphor, which consists in particular of inorganic phosphorescent pigments occurs.
  • the cover can form a dial of the clock.
  • the display elements may be number and / or number and / or letter and / or symbol discs and / or rings, through which a digital display of the time and / or the date and / or the day of the week and / or the month can be made ,
  • the watch is a wristwatch with several dials 1, 3, 5 for the digital display of the time.
  • a ten-digit dial 1 is arranged in parallel in front of a single-digit dial 3 in a pot-like watch case 2.
  • the coaxially arranged ten-digit dial 1 and one-dial disc 3 are disposed within the outer contour 4 of a ring-shaped hour dial 5, which are in a plane parallel to the ten-digit dial 1 and the Einzelziffernfusion 3 level.
  • This phosphor preferably consists of phosphorescent inorganic pigments.
  • the dial 6 itself consists of a transparent support member made of sapphire crystal, the observer-side surface is provided by vapor deposition with a coating of titanium oxide in a thickness of 80 nm.
  • the dial 6 is transparent to ultraviolet light of a wavelength between 250 nm and 430 nm, but impermeable to light of the human-visible spectrum.
  • the dial 6 is opaque to a human. Thus, an observer from the observer side can not see the behind the dial 6 components of the clock, especially the dials 1, 3 and 5.
  • two windows 8 and 9 are formed in the time bridge 7.
  • the dial 6 is transparent to ultraviolet light, the tens 10, 11 and 12 are not only exposed to ultraviolet light when they are in the area of one of the windows 8 or 9, but also when they are in one are covered by the dial 6 area.
  • the dial 6 positions a charge of the long-lasting phosphor whose absorption curve preferably has an absorption peak at a wavelength in the vicinity of 370 nm, so that it is very luminescent in the dark for a long time.
  • a circular recess is further formed, in which a dial 13 of a circular seconds display is inserted, which is swept by a rotatably driven second hand 14.
  • an axis of a rotatably drivable power reserve indicator 15 of a power reserve indicator projects through an opening of the dial 7.
