Pendant le laminage, les charges d'entraînement sont modifiées de la première valeur de consigne à une seconde valeur de consigne différente de la première, conformément à un fonctionnement du train de laminage (2) selon un second plan de passe différent du premier plan de passe et, au moins pendant le temps correspondant au passage vers les secondes valeurs de consigne, la vitesse d'entrée (Ve ) du matériau à laminer (G) est réglée en fonction d'une vitesse de sortie (Vg) du matériau à laminer (G) à la sortie d'une unité (3) située en amont dans la direction de flux massique du train de laminage (2), ce qui permet d'obtenir une installation de laminage, un dispositif de commande et/ou de réglage correspondant, un code programme, un support de stockage et une installation de laminage permettant une redistribution améliorée des charges d'entraînement dans un train de laminage.
