Description

The invention relates to a device for feeding one of these downstream processing line with printed products, which are deducted by means of withdrawal device from the bottom of a printed product stack formed in a magazine of a Druckprodukteanlegers of printed products stack, and with a separating device for lifting a primarily by a last fold or a Edge edge formed edge region of the lowermost printed product from the printed product stack, which separation device a the printed product stack resp. Reststapel at least when removing the printed products in each case a supporting retaining device is switched cyclically.

Devices of the type mentioned are known, for example, in the production of books, magazines or products for the collation of printed products to loose book block.

The WO 2005/094164 teaches a method and an apparatus in which fed in a scale flow transversely to the transport direction of a conveyor channel formed by a rotating entrainment device and thereby pulled the respective foremost print product from the clamping folded edges of a gripper of a parallel rotating feed device and laterally ungauged from the scale flow and is stored exclusively in the conveyor channel.

The pre-published EP 1 520 817 A1 describes a method and an apparatus in which printed products are formed into unbound book blocks on a conveyor line which is fed by a plurality of print product feeders, wherein the printed products are each lifted in an edge region from a front side of a printed product stack and withdrawn by means of conveying member of the printed product stack.

Another device for separating and gathering printed products along a collecting path of a collecting conveyor discloses the EP-A-1748013 , In a feeding station arranged along the collecting line, a corner of a lowermost printed product of a stack is tipped off by means of a nipple. The freestanding edge region of the lowermost printed product is detected by at least two grippers fastened to a circulating chain of a traction mechanism, the printed product being pulled off the stack in the transport direction of the accumulation conveyor and transported to the accumulation conveyor via an inclined feed path of the traction conveyor. Directly in front of a driver of the collecting conveyor, the individually operable grippers release the printed product and place it on a stack formed until then. The multiple gripper pairs having traction means required for the return of the circulating chain relatively much space. In order for the grippers to grasp the freestanding edge area of the lowermost printed product precisely and at the same time, complex guides and control cams are necessary.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device for feeding one of these downstream processing sections with printed products which are withdrawn by means of a take-off device from the underside of a printed product stack formed in a magazine of a printed product applicator, and with a separating device for lifting one primarily by one last fold or edge of a sheet formed edge region of the lowermost printed product from the printed product stack, which separation device a the printed product stack resp. rest pile at least when removing the printed products in each case a supporting restraint device is switched cyclically, to create, with the singling for stacking of printed products and their deduction or transport simple design means are to be used, which reliably ensure a high work performance.

According to the invention, the charge is achieved by the fact that the withdrawal device responds to the raised edge region. Has gripping edge at the front end in the withdrawal direction, in the working cycle of the separation and restraint device, parallel to the withdrawal direction driven back and forth, closed and openable gripper, which is connected to the processing line conveyor effective wherein the respectively for supporting the printed product stack. Restrestvorrichtung a retaining device to be deducted printed products, in the withdrawal direction at least partially over the magazine width extending and acting on the lifted off by tilting edge region of the printed products acting guide assembly.

As a result, the printed products can be processed in a gentle manner. Advantageously, the retaining device is transverse resp. arranged at right angles to the withdrawal direction of the printed products undeliverable, so that the marginal region limiting last fold edge or edge of the sheet runs parallel to the conveying direction and can be used as a reference edge.

The guide arrangement acting on the edge region of a printed product lifted off by a tilting gives the printed products on the conveying path a greater stability of movement and alignment accuracy.

The guide member is arranged angled to the guide member and forms a guide surface along which the last fold or edge of the printed products can slide.

A compact design of the device can be achieved if the separation device, which is formed for example by pivotable, parallel to the withdrawal direction arranged suction heads, respectively below the printed product stack, respectively. of the magazine is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis.

FIG. 1 shows a device 1 for feeding a processing line (not shown), with printed products 3, 3 'respectively from the bottom of a located in a magazine 4 print product stack 2, 2' superimposed printed products 3, 3 'fed in the withdrawal direction F of the processing line for further processing become.

On the Weiterverarbeitungsweg be from the printed products 3, 3 'u. a. Books, magazines, brochures or the like produced. In this case, the printed products 3, 3 'in each case before the removal of the printed product stack 2 with a, mainly by the last fold, or in a single sheet formed by a sheet edge edge region, also called gripping edge 6, lifted from a respective remaining Druckproduktktereststapel 2' and the Printed product stack 2 resp. Rest stacks 2 'supported by a working in time with a separator 5 retaining device 9. When transferring the respectively lowest printed product 3 'to the processing line they are at the viewed in the withdrawal direction F front end 8 of the gripping edge 6, respectively. from Druckprodukttestestapel 2 'lifted resp. tipped edge region 6 detected and fed to the last fold or the edge of the sheet on the supplied restraint device 9 along the processing path. The transfer to the processing line, in continuation of the device 1, can already be achieved before the printed product 3 'has left the device 1. The deduction resp. the overpass is flat, d. h., there are no deflections around a survey, which hinder the transfer. Therefore, the connection between the device and the processing path should be coplanar.

For the procedural approach is a device for charging one of these downstream processing line provided with printed products 3 ', which are withdrawn by means of withdrawal device 22 from the bottom of a printed product stack 2 formed in a magazine 4 of superimposed printed products 3, 3'.

Previously, the printed products 3, 3 'by the separation device 5 each individually on the underside of the printed product stack 2, respectively. of the printed product test stack 2 'at the retainer 9 facing edge region / gripping edge 6 lifted down, immediately before the retainer 9 weggestellt resp. has been deferred (see FIG. 3 ). The gripping edge 6 is formed primarily from a fold of multi-sheet printed products 3 ', but as such also occurs at a sheet edge of a plan or single sheet. Separating device 5 and retaining device 9 are controlled in cycles, ie the edge region 6 is lifted in a restrained restraint device 9 and the printed products 3 'with zuzustterter retaining device 9 under the Druckproduktktereststapel 2' pulled out. The extraction device 22 has a not shown, controlled drive device parallel to the withdrawal direction F pneumatically or electromechanically linearly reciprocally driven gripper 7 (double arrow 31 in FIG FIG. 1 ), which has two provided for opening and closing the gripper 7 gripping jaws 23. The opening and closing operation can be pneumatic, electromechanical or mechanical and the reciprocating motion takes place on a guide device 24. When a printed product 3 'is removed from a printed product stack 2, the printed product 3' is lifted off in the edge region 6 when the retaining device 9 is set back, the retaining device 9 pivots immediately thereafter under the Druckproduktktereststapel 2 'and the closing gripper 7 detects in a deduction initial position the lifted printed product 3' at the front in the withdrawal direction F end 8 of the edge region, respectively. the gripping edge 6 (corner region of the printed product) and pulls it out of the magazine 4 for transfer to a conveyor 37, which is associated with the processing line. During the deduction process the printed product 3 'is moved against rotation along a guide assembly 10 until it leaves the magazine 4. The leading in the conveying direction F edge 42 of the withdrawn printed product 3 'passes between the two adjacent nebeneiander in pairs circulating conveyor belts 38, 39 formed conveyor 37 to the processing line, wherein the required deflection of the conveyor belts 38, 39 by means of guide rollers 40 takes place. The delivery of the retaining device 9 is preferably carried out by a pivoting movement, as in the Figures 2 and 3 indicated. For this purpose, the retaining device 9 is formed by three lever elements 11 which are distributed over the printed product stack width and which are fastened to a shaft 12 so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis 13 extending parallel to the drawing-off direction F.

The at least partially over the printed product stack width extending guide assembly 10 consists of a below the printed product stack 2 in the edge region 6 of the printed product 3, 3 'obliquely sloping below the retaining device 9 guide member 17, the inclined position corresponds approximately to the Abkippwinkel the gripping edge 6, and that to the printed product stack support surface with the upper edge at an obtuse angle is approximately flush. The guide member 17 has a recess 18 through which the lowermost printed product 3 'detecting separating device 5 occurs and the printed product 3' against the guide member 17 pulls (see FIG. 3 ). The separator 5 consists of a suction head 15 attached to a pivoting arm 14, which is connected to a controlled vacuum source. As soon as the gripping edge 6 opposes the guiding operation 17, the restraint device 9 moves into the working position and prevents there that the edge region moves back to the printed product residual stack 2 '. For this purpose, a guide element 19 is fastened to the angled pivoting-arm end 16 pivoted under the printed product test stack 2 '. If the separation device 5 more over the Druckproducktestapel 2 distributed pivot arms 14, respectively. Suction heads 15, the guide member 19 extends over the printed product stack width; However, the separator 5 consists only of one, Exclusively acting on the front end of the gripping edge 8 pivot arm 14 and suction head 15, the guide member 19 extends over only a portion of the printed product stack width, so that the retainer 9 does not collide at the delivery 9 with the deducted print product 3 '.

Thus the deducted print product 3 'positionally does not shift or twist resp. the position taken in the printed product stack 2 retains the peel, slides the fold or blade edge of the gripping edge, respectively. the edge region 6 on a guide member 20 which extends along the length of the guide assembly 10. This guide member 20 is fixed to the guide member 17, respectively. connected to the retaining device 9. From the guide assembly 10 forming organs 17, 20 and guide member 19 is formed when the restraint device 9 is a narrow conveyor channel 33, in which the deducted printed products 3 'are performed. The organs or guide elements of the guide assembly 10 may be formed by solid or interrupted guide surfaces, as long as they are suitable for leadership.

For gripping the printed product 3 'at the front gripping edge end 8 can after the in FIG. 6 a gripper 7 are used, which has a roller 29 on a retaining device 9, which is rotatably supported by means of axis 28 on a bearing part 27 of the retaining device 9. The roller 29 cooperates with a Duprolle 30 which is rotatable about an axis 43. The dup roll 30 is fixedly mounted by means of a holder, not shown here. The dup roll 30 may be continuously driven by a drive device, not shown. Between the roller 29 and the dup roll 30, the printed product 3 'is taken in each case at the front gripping edge end 8 and withdrawn in the withdrawal direction F from the printed product stack 2. The withdrawing force on the printed product 3 'acts as long as the gripping means 32 cooperates with the roller 29. Accordingly, the gripping means 32 extends in the circumferential direction and determines the stroke or the distance at which the printed product 3 'is withdrawn from the printed product stack 2. This allows a continuous rotational movement of the Duproll 30. The in the FIG. 6 shown gripper 7 allows a vibration-free removal of a printed product 3 '.

However, the gripper 7 can also be replaced by other suitable gripper means, which make it possible to grasp the front gripping edge end 8 and remove the printed product 3 'from the printed product stack 2 by a short distance, so that the printed product 3' can be grasped immediately by the conveying device 37. To lift a printed product 3 'from the printed product stack 2, the retaining device 9 by the shaft 12 in the in FIG. 3 shown pivoted position. An inner surface 46, which has hitherto supported the printed product stack 2, 2 ', is now free, as can be seen. This also applies to the in FIG. 4 shown underside 35 of the deducted print product 3 'as well as for extending in the withdrawal direction F front 36 of the printed product stack 2. The guide member 19 is also swung out, so that the above-mentioned conveyor channel 33 is no longer present. Only the guide element 17 is still in the original position. This forms a likewise obliquely downwardly inclined upper side surface 21st

In a next step, the suction cups 15 are raised in the in FIG. 4 shown pivoted position in which they rest against the underside 35 of the printed product 3 '. In the suction heads 15, a vacuum is now generated, so that the printed product 3 'is attracted to the suction cups 15.

In a subsequent step, the separating device 5 is lowered into the in FIG. 5 pivoted position shown and substantially simultaneously, the restraint 9 in the also in FIG. 5 pivoted position shown. As a result, the delivery channel 33 is formed again. Due to the adhesion of the suction heads 15 on the underside 35 of the printed product 3 ', this is moved in the edge region 6 down against the surface 21. Here, in the printed product 3 ', a kink 45 is formed which extends in the withdrawal direction over the entire length of the printed product 3 'extends. Below the bend 45 is the edge region 6 within the conveying channel 33. This edge region 6 extends substantially to the guide member 20, as the FIG. 5 lets recognize. By means of blowing nozzles 25, air can be blown in the direction of the bend 45, so that an air cushion forms between the printed product 3 'and the overlying printed product 3. As a result, the friction between these two lowest sheets when removing can be reduced.

So that when removing a printed product 3 'the overlying printed products 3 experience no change in their position, a stop member 34 is attached to the retaining device 9 acting on the front in the withdrawal direction F stack side 44. The stop element 34 is located at the delivered restraint device 9, ie when printing products 3 'in each case in a stop position acting restrained on the printed product test stack 2`. When reset restraint device 9, the lifting process by the separator 5, the stop element 34 is out of action.
