It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for feeding a processing line with printed products, with which a gentle and reliable approach can be achieved with simpler means than before.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the printed products are detected at the front end of the lifted edge region in the draw-off direction and are transferred from the printed product stack to the processing line along the last fold or a sheet edge in the withdrawal direction along the restraint device.
In this way, no redirections of the printed products on the way to the processing line are required and the printed products are not special Exposed to stress. This makes it possible to achieve a high processing speed with this method.
The latter can be favored if the printing products are removed at least partially pulled out under the printed product stack to the processing line, so that no intermediate funding is necessary.
By means of the method according to the invention, it is possible to strip the printed products flat from the printed product stack.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device for feeding one of these downstream processing sections with printed products which are withdrawn by means of a take-off device from the underside of a printed product stack formed in a magazine of a printed product feeder, and with a separating device for lifting one primarily by one last fold or edge of a sheet formed edge region of the lowermost printed product from the printed product stack, which separation device a the printed product stack resp. Rest stacks at least when removing the printed products in each case a supporting retaining device is switched cyclically, to create, with the singling for stacking of printed products and their deduction or transport simple design means are to be used, which reliably ensure a high work performance.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the extraction device resp. Has gripping edge at the front end in the withdrawal direction, in the working cycle of the separating and retaining device, parallel to the drawing direction back and forth driven, closed and openable gripper, which is connected to the conveyor line effective.
As a result, the printed products can be processed in a gentle manner. Advantageously, the retaining device is transverse resp. arranged at right angles to the withdrawal direction of the printed products undeliverable, so that the marginal region limiting last fold edge or edge of the sheet runs parallel to the conveying direction and can be used as a reference edge.
Preferably provided for supporting the printed product stack resp. Rest stack, switched on retaining device with a printing products to be deducted, in the withdrawal direction at least partially over the magazine width extending and acting on the lifted by a tilting edge region of a printed product acting guide assembly provided the printed products on the Conveying path gives a greater stability of movement and alignment accuracy.
The guide arrangement expediently has a guide element running approximately parallel at least on the underside of the tilted edge region of a printed product, on the freestanding end of which a guide element connected to the restraint device is arranged, so that a positionally accurate transfer of the printed products can take place.
The guide member is connected in the sense of a simple and stable attachment by acting over the raised edge region of a printed product as a guide element connecting element with the retaining device, so that together with the guide member, a channel-like guide path can arise.
In order to promote the guiding properties and the behavior of the printed products on the conveying path, at least one of the elements forming the guide arrangement has a solid wall.
The guide element is arranged angled to the guide member and forms a guide surface along which the last fold or edge of the printed products can slide.
A compact design of the device can be achieved if the separation device, which is formed for example by pivotable, parallel to the withdrawal direction arranged suction heads, respectively below the printed product stack, respectively. of the magazine is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis.
