Definitions
- the invention relates to an explosive projectile with a projectile casing, which encloses a space filled with an explosive interior.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing the explosive projectile.
- An encapsulated, easily manageable disintegrant describes the DE 23 45 070 B2 , an explosive device DE 38 43 443 A1 , Various explosive projectiles are among others from the DE 602 02 419 T2 , of the DE 601 08 817 T2 , of the DE 20 2004 019 504 U1 , of the DE 295 19 568 U1 , of the DE 39 13 543 C1 as well as the DE 196 26 660 C2 known.
- an explosive is used in liquid form, it is filled into the interior of the projectile casing and then cured. This can lead to cavities during the casting as well as during curing of the explosive and possibly also to cracks in the explosive. Such voids and cracks represent a not insignificant security risk, because due to the high acceleration at the launch of the explosive projectile blowholes and cracks change their shape very quickly and the air in the voids and cracks can heat up so much due to the resulting compression that it comes to an ignition of the corresponding explosive.
- the US 2,373,883 A discloses an explosive projectile, which has a unilaterally upwardly open shell, in which an explosive incorporated and which is pulled over the sides of the projectile nose. This makes it possible that by attacking the air (air resistance) on the projectile these pages pull out a first charge and the bullet is functional.
- the invention has for its object to provide an explosive projectile in which the risk of accidental ignition of the explosive at launch is less than in explosive ordnance with hardened liquid explosive. Furthermore, the invention should disclose a method for producing such an explosive projectile.
- the invention is essentially based on the idea of using a liquid explosive as explosive, which does not harden after being introduced into the interior of the projectile casing, but remains liquid.
- the explosive is arranged airtight in the interior of the projectile casing in an elastic sheath.
- the explosive projectile according to the invention has, inter alia, the advantage that it can be produced in a simple manner, since the explosive can already be introduced outside the projectile casing into the casing, which is made of plastic, for example, and can be hermetically sealed off. In this case, the formation of air bubbles within the liquid explosive, for example, by connection to a corresponding vacuum device can be largely prevented already at this time.
- the envelope After the envelope has been hermetically sealed, it is then introduced into the envelope together with the explosive, for example from the mouth of the projectile casing, the elastic casing ensuring that the liquid explosive leaks unintentionally from the projectile casing or accidental ingress of air into the elastic casing prevented.
- the elastic sheath must be made of a material that is compatible with both the explosive and the other materials used in the projectile (if they come into contact with the sheath), so that the corresponding material properties over a longer period in the specified temperature range to be kept. So it is not uncommon that the buyer of corresponding explosive projectiles requires a useful life of such bullets of, for example, 25 years.
- the elastic sheath is glued in a partial area with the inner wall of the projectile casing.
- the liquid explosive in the interior of the projectile casing can not move undefined.
- a space between the elastic sheath and the projectile casing should remain so that the elastic sheath can expand at a temperature expansion of the explosive within the interior, without deforming the projectile casing.
- the volume compensation element may for example consist of a container which is filled with a compressible gas or a compressible liquid.
- the volume compensation element is preformed and adjusted to the planned position in the store log.
- the volume compensation element is preferably folded or compressed.
- the adhesive should first be applied in the area of the ogive, where the volume compensation element will sit, to get a uniform adhesive layer.
- the application can preferably be carried out by spraying.
- Fig. 1 1 denotes a spin-stabilized explosive projectile that can be fired, for example, from a tank howitzer, which comprises a projectile casing 2 made of steel, which has an opening 3 on the front side into which an impact fuse (not shown) can be screwed.
- a tank howitzer which comprises a projectile casing 2 made of steel, which has an opening 3 on the front side into which an impact fuse (not shown) can be screwed.
- the explosive 6 is liquid explosive which is completely and airtight enclosed by an elastic sheath 7.
- the elastic shell 7 is glued in the rear-side region of the projectile casing 2 with the inner wall 11 of the projectile casing 2, while between the elastic casing 7 and the projectile casing 2, a free space 9 remains on the front side.
- This clearance 9 is on the one hand chosen such that the elastic sheath 7, and thus the liquid explosive 6, can expand unhindered with temperature changes.
- the distance between the elastic sheath 7 and the detonator, not shown, is selected such that ignition of the liquid explosive 6 is ensured by the fuze safely.
- liquid explosive 6 is first introduced into the elastic sheath 7 and then sealed airtight. Subsequently, the elastic shell 7 is inserted with the liquid explosive 6 therein through the opening 3 in the interior 5 of the projectile casing 2 and glued to the rear side with the projectile casing 2.
- the appropriate adhesive layer was in Fig. 1 marked with the reference numeral 10.
- Fig. 2 an explosive projectile 1 'is shown, which substantially corresponds to the explosive projectile 1 described above. It is merely the space provided at the explosive projectile 1 9 filled by an elastic volume compensation element 100, which is under bias.
- this volume compensation element 100 consists of a container 101 (for example, a plastic film) in which a compressible gas (or optionally a compressible liquid) is located.
- a compressible gas or optionally a compressible liquid

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- In
Fig. 1 mit dem Bezugszeichen 10 gekennzeichnet. - In
