- the present invention relates to a valve rod for an iron, at least comprising a tip part, by means of which a dropping dosing is executable, a body part, and a connecting part, by means of which a contact between an operating device and the valve stem is effected.
- Valve rods for irons are known in the art. They are used to seal the valve opening arranged between a water tank and an evaporation chamber in an iron or to partially release it upon actuation with a control element, so that water can pass from the water tank into the evaporation chamber and evaporate there.
- Such inserted valve rods must meet several technical requirements. On the one hand, they must not deform, even after a long period of use, as this could have an influence on the closing characteristic.
